only one serious problem
this is a great vehicle. just got back from a 3500 mile drive to Canada and it performed wonderfully. even had some impressive off road moments on the rocky "beaches" of Nova Scotia. the ltd has a good stereo, otherwise I recommend the standard w/the 6 cyl. got the dvd which quieted the kids less than I had hoped, but it is impressive, especially the audio quality. got good mileage @ 25. serious problem: back window noise. Plus, only average rollover protection is another definite minus. but, still a vehicle I recommend highly.
From Explorer to Highlander
I used to drive an Explorer unitl I recently sold it and got a Highlander. The ride and comfort is like night and day. The Highlander is so smooth and responsive. It's a joy to drive. The interior is classic, comfortable and well designed, while the engine is quiet and reliable. The only complaint is when the rear windows are rolled down with the front windows up, it sounds like a helicopter is landing on you. I've heard of this condition with the Highlander before and it is loud, but we never drive with only the rear windows down so it's not a real problem for us.

Highlander review
I like the quite drive. It handles like butter. It carries my Siberian Husky and I can still see the road safley.
Good Vehicle
A good reliable crossover suv.Very safe good gas mileage rides very nice.Wife has had to make 1 evasive maneuver and she said it handled it very well at 40 mph.Rides like a car
AWESOME CAR
Wow. its been 3 years now and the Highlander is purely flawless. Amazing engineering and design. It's amazing how reliable this car has been. The car is very well designted and cup holders galore! The only thing I would want on my Highlander is a navigation system, which they have for the 2005 model year now. :) I love Toyota!
