Used 2018 Toyota Avalon Hybrid Consumer Reviews
LOVE THIS CAR
This is a very comfortable riding car. great for long trips. Plenty of power. Low exterior noise, and excellent gas mileage [39 mpg] on average. 6 Plus years now with no regrets, or problems. I still can't believe Toyota is not going to continue this car after 2022. My first Avalon was a 2002 6 cylinder which my nephew still drives today with over 200,000 miles on it. My current Avalon is a 2017 Hybrid model with over 89,000 miles on it, and I love them both.

Much better options available from Toyota.
I was upsold into the Toyota Avalon, which is supposed to be their version of the Lexus brand. (Silly me, I thought Lexus was supposed to be Toyota's brand of the Lexus, since they are the ones that manufacturer that vehicle.) However, the comfort and convenience is not comparable to a true luxury vehicle, and the whole thing just feels overpriced. Aside from the comfort/price disparity, a huge disadvantage of the entire Toyota line, is their instance on using "Entune" instead of Android Auto or Apple CarPlay (a decision they are moving away from apparently on 2020 models). The proprietary version of mapping is vastly inferior to what is available on your smartphone today (or even three years ago). So much so, that I don't even bother using the expensive mapping upgrade, and instead just rely on my smart phone for any navigation and/or apps. You can also tell what the manufacturer thinks of their own vehicles, depending on their demand, when it comes time to return the vehicle. To date, I have received nothing from Toyota about my lease ending, and them wanting to purchase the vehicle, or get my into a new Avalon (although they do want me in a new Camry). Yet, I am still receiving offers on my previous vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, even though I turned that in three years ago. Stay away from the Avalon, there are much better values out there.

Wonderful car for the money!!
I love this car!! This is my second Toyota vehicle, and I am more than pleased!! I bought this Avalon used from a great dealer, and I am super pleased the way it drives, the attention to detail, and the gas mileage. I have a hybrid, and I am very pleased with my choice. This car is a pleasure to drive.

Great hybrid vehicle
Great car, excellent mileage, very comfortable, quiet cabin, nice sound system, Loved the TSS package and sunroof standard in the "plus" trim. Did some shopping around, very good value. Very good mileage and lots of power for passing on freeways. I have now had car just over 3,5 yrs. No repairs yet, just regular maintenance. Tires still original (40K+ miles), very quiet car, great visibility with virtually no "blind spots" smooth ride as good as the first day. I really like car, and would recommend. Huge trunk also a great bonus for shopping and traveling.
