So far so good

This is my second Saturn, but my first truck. I love the way the VUE looks, however I feel it's cheap inside. I find it dumb that there is no switch for the rear passenger to roll down the window! So if they want the window down they have to ask me. What was the point of window locks? The steering also has a lot of play in it, but overall I like it and would suggest it. My truck is still so new so I havent found anything wrong except my wheel bearing went already. The gas mileage for some reason doesn't seem so efficient but that could be with all trucks.

The vehicle is still pretty new with 800 plus miles but the things I like the best are the comfort of the heated leather seats. The driver's seat is electrically 6 way adjustable, and is comfortable for a big man like myself at 6'4" and 200 lbs. It has plenty of headroom and you don't feel cramped. The power from the 250 HP V6 engine is great, and the economy is good. I'm getting almost 29.8 miles per gallon on the highway. It drives and handles perfect on curves and winding roads, and the supension is impressive. The VUE is good for the times I haul kids and gear. With the roomy interior, it's very functional for a mini SUV. I wanted something sporty looking, yet able to fit the bill for family needs and be easy on the wallet.

Unbelievable car

I purchased my first Saturn, a VUE, and my wife and are extremely happy with the car. I am very impressed with the smooth acceleration and shifting tranny. I know the engine is a Honda, but I was curious about the transmission as we tow it behind our RV. I spoke with a Saturn technician and he gave me great detail about the tranny being a oil bath system built by Honda as well. In fact it apprears the front drive train including the axle is all Honda. GM definitely did the right thing here. I would give the car a 10 but the only negitive is the steering when accelerating in a short turn. It sometime acts a little loose feeling. But on a whole we love this car.

Fast, Intuitive, Practical

Having driven Saturns almost since they were introduced, I've always rated them high. During that time another car I found a pleasure to drive was the powerful Honda Pilot. What a thrill it was to find that same 3.5 ltr v6 in the ever reliable Saturn brand. It makes getting on a highway much easier and is the most powerful engine Saturn has ever used. Not only that, but there's enough insulation in the interior cabin to bring the noise notorious in Saturns to an all-time low. Its cabin is quite large for a smaller size SUV and has upgraded it's interior materials. The rear cargo organizer + Mp3 cd radio with RDS capabilties are welcome additions. Driving is more enjoyable than ever.

A good SUV for the money (you get what you pay for) but plan on keeping it as the depreciation is fast and aggressive. It's a light SUV so its fast for its size. OEM tyres are awful/borderline dangerous and not many choices for replacements. Paint quality is pretty poor too. It's a good family car and a practical wagon for general use. Front suspension problems, fuel pump issues, battery issues, tyre issues in first 10k. Buy a rear rubber mat. It makes squeaks a lot quieter!
