Low mile Sundance
I have owned 3 Horizons over the years and have had good luck with all 3. This little Sundance I just bought has only 16,500 original miles. The car came is a 1 owner, looks to have been always garaged, and is mint in every way. The underside has no rust, the motor compartment is super clean and the interior looks like it has never been sat in. The car will last me well into retirement. This really is a car that was owned by a little old lady.
Looked gorgeous, but always in the shop
Granted, I limped mine 150,000 miles but only because I had to replace everything from the rear axle three times, the transaxle twice, the CV joints 4 times, and it was in the shop with constant mechanical and electrical problems. I gave up and sold it to a junkyard when the engine blew--literally. We took care of our cars and were always on-time with maintenance. Cosmetically, it was still exceptionally nice inside and out when it finally died.
Died with Dignity
I owned this car for 2 1/2 years... had 104000 when bought. Had many problems, including bad exhaust, gas tank, no A/C, electrical, rack and pinion, comuter chip, brakes. VERY rusted out... frame was bad. However, I got into a car accident and my car protected me VERY well, ran into van (ran stop sign) and airbag went off and car crumpled enough to cushion- absolutely no interior damage. I was impressed. It's a good small car, but be ready for problems.
