We have had the car for a month, no problems. So far a great value. My wife is getting 41mpg driving to work each day at 2 lane highway speeds. 60+ mph. The car is quite large for a sub compact. Bought a center arm rest on EBAY and 2 vanity mirrors at Auto Zone, now we are set.

I bought this car brand new at the age of 23 and I am now 30 and it’s still going strong. I finished paying it and I still drive it because I’ve had no issues with it other than a rattling noise I had a while back. This sounds bad but I’ve never done a transmission oil change and yet it has survived. I had no clue this was something I had to do. Anyhow, this little car is so spacious inside and I always get compliments for its space and Apple red color. I’ve driven to miami, fl twice from the border of Texas. I’ve driven to San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Mexico, etc and yet my baby is still healthy. I don’t want to sell it but it’s time I buy my Lexus. I’ve changed the tires on it only once for my job in Houston. The only thing I did not like in this car was the seat (I have a long torso.) I give this car an A+. It’s gas efficient! 2 of my friends ended up buying versas...

DO NOT EVER GET A NISSAN WITH A CVT!!!

The title says it all. I was on a trip to another state, and the RPMs would fly up by the car wouldn't accelerate. Long story short and $3000 later, the transmission FAILED 1/4th of the way through the trip and to this day, I'm still dealing with the credit card debt. Beyond that, the car ran like garbage, even after I had the transmission replaced. No "get up and go" from that car no matter what I did - my 02' Hyundai Elantra had twice the horsepower! Then I get contacted by a lawyer 2 months later as they formed a CLASS ACTION lawsuit because this has been happening in innumerable(that's right, not just the versa, not just the 2012's) Nissan vehicles with these experimental parts/engineering (at the risk and cost of consumers) and if you've read to this point, you can guess that Nissan weaseled out of that too! At this point, Nissan couldn't pay me to drive one of their cars. Do NOT support any vehicle that has this experimental crap in it, especially if it's from Nissan!!!

Ok, ignore all other reviews and pay close attention to this one about the 2012 Nissan Versa Sedan. This is a utilitarian vehicle...no frills and no nonsense. It will not make you grin when you drive it but then again, it's not supposed to. It gets you from a-b very well and very cheaply. It has all of the convenience features you need and none you really don't. It's cheap to operate and in my experience very reliable.

I could review this car if I could actually use it!! I have not been able to use my car since it was broken since the day they gave it to me. Nissan and its laughable excuse for customer service have had my car for over a 3 weeks and I bought it 4 weeks ago. And they still can't fix it. I have asked for a refund or a new car and they just hang up the phone or redirect me to my contract which basically says "hahaha we screw you over". Listen to this precautionary tale - Don't trust Nissan ever.
