Very comfortable front seats
In an age where nearly all car makers offer only hard, thinly padded front seat bottoms that induce fatigue and soreness on longer drives the Nissan Sentra impresses with a seat bottom that fells softer and is shaped and padded in a way that doesn't cause pressure points and fatigue. Other characteristics of the car are just ordinary except for road noise which is suppressed better than in most midsize cars. I like cars with comfortable seats, and a bump absorbing and quiet ride and in the midsize category I find the Hyundai Elantra the most desireable overall, the Nissan Sentra second place, Toyota Corolla third place and Chevy Cruze fourth place.

Huge Mistake
I will never buy another Nissan, I am so disappointed. I bought a brand new Sentra not even 6 months after owning this vehicle I had to take it in for repairs for what I am certain was a Transmission, well they said there was nothing wrong. Few weeks after that same issue so I took it in again and they said oh it's the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Well a month after that same problem, take it in again and they say oh it's only an Oxygen Sensor I believe they said and replaced it. Well guess what? Month later I am driving with my wife and 2 young children ages 11 & 6 on a very busy 4 lane highway suddenly same exact issue car will not accelerate above 35 MPH and then stalls out in the middle of the highway causing my family to literally miss getting rear ended by a Semi by maybe a foot, again I was nearly certain it's the Transmission have it towed there and again they say no, this time it's the Throttle Body. I have wrote corporate, my local dealer ship and all they keep saying is the Warranty is now up, however, if the problem persist the will cover it. I am literally petrified to put my family back in this 🍋 lemon and now it literally sits in my driveway reminding of what a poor brand is. Bought the vehicle brand new and for 2 years it's been in the shop half a dozen times or more for the same issue that they keep saying is something else when I am certain it is the transmission, so I am stuck with a lemon and the payments on a lemon that myself nor my wife are comfortable driving for fear of the next close call with a semi becoming reality thanks Nissan for refusing to admit it's the Transmission and replacing every part in the car but the transmission.

Better than the reviews had me believing
Its really comfortable to sit in and easy to drive. I am a large man and can drive for three or four hours at a time without complaint. Reviews say it lacks power and if you are looking for a sporty car this isn't it. That said, the Sport mode gives it plenty of pick up on demand and being able to turn it off means greater fuel efficiency. The back up camera is good but not great and the sound system even in the SV is very nice. I love the keyless entry and start button. Reviews say it lacks styling but I could not disagree more. I think it a very attractive car. My only real complaint is that it seems to have a pretty large blind spot on the drivers side. the Bluetooth and Siri connection work flawlessly and the hands free phone is easy to hear and those on the other end hear me quite well.

Underrated Sentra
I was going to replace my older Altima with a new one, but ended up buying a Sentra instead. The handling is great (better than my Altima) and actually feels sporty. Vehicle is so quiet in the cabin you can't tell it's running. Trunk space is good too for its class. Only thing I miss with the Altima is the large gas tank which can get about 600 miles on one tank and the wider interior. I bought a manual (I prefer to drive stick) so can't comment on the acceleration with the CVT. For a compact car, I'm very happy with this purchase, and think the low ratings from car critics aren't that accurate.

Nice Small Car Overall
I went from a 3.5 engine to a 1.8 so I'm still trying to get used to it. I wish it had more power when I try to accelerate on the highway. Can be dangerous when your are entering freeway!!! Becareful! After all it is a small car. It gets you from point A to point B. Good for driving locally. Has an OK interior and really spacious for its size. I dislike the suspension!! U feel every bump really hard and loud! If you are driving in a smooth road you will enjoy it! About 34mpg...I will get LED lights on my SV. Sound system sucks. I hope I can get to upgrade that soon somehow. I hate the wheel covers something I didn' really pay attention to until after should have gotten the rim wheels... Overall, I would recommend unless you have a heavy foot!

Superior performance and headroom in comparison
Shop the price. We compared jetta , jeep , kia soul, forte, sentra sv showed better quality inside and out. Comfortable compared to VW jetta with a bigger cabin, and better quality interior. You cannot beat the smooth ride in comparison to the other vehicles we drove. Best value, and the only auto dealer that DID NOT switch up the eprice. Honored advertised price, Salesman @ Peoria Nissan were more knowledgeable than at other 5 dealerships here in A.Z. Love the Sentra SV.

Nissan Sentra S shines as a daily driver
I’ve been driving a brand new 2017 Nissan Sentra S for the past two months and 2,000 miles while my DD is in the shop for some work. I must say that I am impressed with this car as a daily driver. The car is comfortable and quiet. The seats are amazingly comfortable and they provide good lateral support for those of us who like to corner a bit harder than most. One really outstanding attribute is the fuel mileage. I can’t seem to get less than 38 MPG in my daily driving. When I really flog the car hard, my mileage drops to 34 MPG which is still very good. Oh, and on highway trips to Jersey, I’ve been able to get 49 MPG if I use a light foot on the gas. And one more thing, while the car is not super quick, it is more than adequate in normal day-to-day driving and the CVT transmission also works well with the power output of this engine. All-in-all, this is a very good car, and this comes from a guy who drives a BMW M2 on a regular basis.
Transmission failed in only 3 years
The transmission now needs to be replaced in my 2017 Nissan Sentra. Unless you want an unreliable vehicle that Nissan will not stand behind, I don't recommend buying one.

DON'T BUY A LEMON OF A CAR
The warrenty is misleading, the cvt transmission in this vehicle has a lemon law against it. They are known to break down and nissan will not fix it.over all the customer service with Nissan USA is no help! I have a 2017 sitting at home that i owe $18,000 on and cant drive do to a $4000 transmission .problem, this is the second time i had problems with car. First time was all the sensors went bad at less than 36000 miles.better off buying a used vehicle than buy a sentra. Only good thing it is pretty safe in a driver door accident.ok update,3/2020. My thoughts on my car has only gotten worse, just replaced the exhaust mainfold($486) and again i wouldnt suggest a nissan to anyone. Exwife bought a 2018 sentra sv and she is going through same problems, sensors went out, then transmission went out.i still own this car today 09/14/2020 & i still say dont buy a sentra.its 09/16/2021 my gf bought a 2019 sentra worst mistake ever, 45,000 miles and the transmission is slipping so again dont buy any cars from nissanok it 2022 gf has bought a 2019 nissan sentra and guess what problem after problem, so now nissan has made the versa the old sentra and the altima the new sentra, and the maxima the new altima and did away with maximas,a total joke think you change the name of a car it gonna be better? Lol again dont buy a nissan

Dont buy!
I had a new 17 Sentra 1.8 stick and had issues with the carpet always coming out from the plastic. No fix. The shifting was so jerking and rocked back before it went forward always it was crazy and never got better did notice sport mode made it better so something with programming. Had a rattle from the timing chain tensioner from 500miles and nissan refused to fix it cause the other ones made the same sound even though the dealer stated it was a problem. Finally after it got louder then the new cars after 20k miles they put in a new motor and it still made the noise so I don't expect the motors to last with that issue. Also after 10k I started to hear a clunk everytime the motion changed. The dealer greased the half shafts from a service bulletin which fixed it but it's only a temp fix. But if your persistence or wanna invoke the lemon law hopefully you can get out of it.

6500 miles and already needs plugs
I leased this car thinking that the plugs would last till at least 15,000 miles. Nope. It hit 6580 miles and the plugs are gone. According to the dealership they’re supposed to last till around 100,000 miles. Utter bs

SV Seems Like Nice Value!
Bought my Sentra over a year ago and, given the vehicle type and price range I was in, am glad I did. The SV has nicer cloth that looks much better than that in similar priced cars. Seats are comfy. Space is great for this style car. Friends who ride in the back have complimented the room and comfort. The steering wheel feels great, it has a nice information screen where the gauges are. The large bright white gauges appealed to me when I test drove the car and still do. The trunk is large. Ride is good enough and it brakes well. Gas mileage is great. Acceleration is awful and engine (or transmission, I am not sure) is very loud when pushed. The take for great gas mileage I guess and that's fine by me. The surprise downside is when there is a strong crosswind this car will get moved around when on the highway/interstate. Feels like the older model car experience...not in a good way. The surprise upside is the thinner tires, and maybe the brand of tire, allow it to navigate through snow so, so well! For the $16,400 I paid (out the door) for the car, overall, I can't ask for better.

Consider getting a sentra!
Previous Vehicles Owned: 2010 Sentra SL, 2013 Nissan Cube; To begin with, the Nissan Sentra is not a race car- do not have that expectation. While I personally would like more horsepower, the Sentra is adequate when you use the "Sport Mode" option. It takes some time to get used to Nissan CVT engines, but you will adjust. I was very skeptical of buying a 2017 Sentra, but I was pleasantly surprised. The 2017 Sentra is very refined, since this generation was first introduced in 2013. Some improvements are; refreshed exterior styling (very attractive), more sound deadening materials, new SV packages. (I highly recommend getting the "SV" trim level, and adding the "Style Package" for $750.00, you will get alloy wheels, moon roof, and a few other things.) When it comes to my driving, I currently drive 140/miles daily to work and back. This vehicle is more than capable of city, highway, and mixed driving. Regardless of what other people say, the engine noise is not that bad. If a driver is treating this car like a racecar and slams on the brakes, then yes you'll hear the engine. The interior room is sufficient- the truck space is exceptional. To the best of my knowledge, the rear seats have more legroom than any other vehicle in it's class. Overall, I would recommend this car. The 2017 Sentra is a very refined and well-built vehicle for the money. I purchased my Sentra at Nissan of Keene in New Hampshire. (great dealerships, I recommend checking them out, I drove three hours to them because good dealerships are hard to find).

Great Value
This car was a dream come true...... affordable, clean, reliable, loaded with many features. Although it is not brand new, it appears and performs like a brand new car. The car just "feels" perfect and fit my needs like a glove. I feel like a kid with a new toy. The people at the dealership were also helpful in many ways and not your hard pressure salesmen that you want to run from. The cars speak for themselves.

Cost Cutting ruins an otherwise great car
With the stick, is very fun to drive despite having the wrong gearing for the powerband and notchy shift action. No limited slip diff for some reason, even though this is the juke powertrain, which comes with the LSD standard. This car looks upscale and the interior is very nice. Unfortunately, this is thin veneer over a very cheaply made car that in my opinion will not last for the long haul. Feels substantially less well put together then the last generation sentra, which feels built like a brick outhouse. This is confirmed in that the 2007-2012 sentra weighs 150lb more despite being smaller than the 2013-up model. I am a mechanic and bought this car not only to improve my credit, but so I wouldn't have to work on my own car, as I spend 60 hours a week most weeks working on other people's cars. Less than 100 miles into my purchase, I noticed 2nd gear was very hard to engage. Had to bring it to the attention of the dealer 3 times before they confirmed my findings (defective transmission). After that they replaced it with no issues. I have had the car for a year and have put only 5600 miles on it so far, and already the body is starting to loosen up, various squeaks are manifesting themselves. The body simply does not feel very solid at all. My mother owns a 2008 sentra, with over 180k on it and it feels more solid than my brand new car. I know this because I service her car for her. Yes, I test drove multiple 2017 sentras (after I was already committed to mine, unfortunately,) and they are all the same. If I would have known, I would have saved myself over 15 grand and bought a 2012 sentra (the last year for the old bodystyle) from Copart and fixed it, because that's how flimsy this new car feels to me. The car is otherwise great, I average nearly 33mpg average around town and have touched 54mpg on one particular back road trip! My issue is that I don't feel it will last long. Cost cutting abounds everywhere. The interior is about the only place that they didn't try to save coin....it is very nice. Everywhere else the cost cutting monster has had it's way. The ride is nice, until you hit the first big bump, and you run out of suspension travel (something the previous sentra did very well was absorb bumps.....) Open the hood or trunk and you are greeted by great swaths of metal that Nissan didn't bother painting body color (to save on paint)...all you see is the base coat. What paint is on the car is very thin and very easily chipped or scratched, which was never the case on previous Nissan products. I already have chips on almost every body panel which are down to the primer. Remember, this is a NINE MONTH OLD CAR with 5600 gentle miles on it. The driver's door already closes with a different sound than the passenger's door. It sounds tinnier, as if the weatherstrip is already wearing out. The rear brakes squeal when stopping, i feel like I am in one of those old 1950's TV shows every time I stop. The sunvisors buzz incessantly against the headliner at idle and the package tray rattles. Again, most of this stuff is nitpicking, but still, when a NEW CAR has more NVH problems than its 10 year old sibling, that is saying a lot, especially when the old car has 11 times the mileage. It is a great car to lease, not to buy, in my opinion.

Car is nothing but problems
So this car is not worth the money spent on it. It has had constant problems very poorly designed and cheaply made. First off I've owned this can for a year and a half still under warranty. Forst thing to fail was the door handles literally fell off. The brakes squeal and I've been told by the dealership that all Nissan's do that.then less than 6 months after purchasing this vehicle it constantly loses power. I will be driving amd all of the sudden it loses power and camy go over 35 mph. I have had the car in for service several times and they cant figure out what's wrong with it they just keep replacing random parts waiting for the warranty to run out. If you are thinking about buying the sentra sr turbo DON'T!!!

Cvt transmission gave out at 100,000 miles
If you want to be purchasing a transmission in a few years or at 100,000 miles then this car is for you. The valve body in the transmission went out.
From new car to crap
I bought a brand new 2017 Nissan Sentra SR. To dare it has less than 50000 miles. The electrical system sucks. I start my car and the radio won't come on. The tint in the back window is horrible and has bubbles throughout the back window. The drivers door silver plate fell off. Within a few months my brakes were squeaking and the local maintenance dealer said they used cheap pads and I had to pay almost $200 to have them install new more expensive pads. At this point my engine is already squeaking for no reason. I would have thought a "new car" would not fall apart so quickly.

Not your Granny's Sentra
A nice middle of the road-no pun intended- sedan that ,remember, is an economy car not a performance car. But this is a nice riding, good looking car that exceeds the earlier iterations by a mile. I have not had it long enough to know about how reliable it will be, but so far I'm happy with it. Do not know the resale value yet.

Not so beautiful beauty
I love the exterior and interior of my 2017 Nissan but I am extremely unhappy about the way it drives. All of the technical bells and whistles work fine but the engine is VERY LOUD. It gets even louder when you try to accelerate . Acceleration is slow so you have to wait until all cars near and far have gone by to change lanes because it moves very slow and the gas peddle seams as though it is pulling back when you try to press the peddle down harder. Cars constantly ride up on the back of me while I'm waiting for it to finally speed up It's been to the shop 3 times since I purchased it but the mechanics can't find anything wrong with it. I've only had it for 4 months and I can't wait to trade it in for something more dependable. Very frustrating.

Power switch issues
After 7 service visits to Nissan service department for a power window switch that keeps depressing into the door panel~I’ve been unable to get any assistance from anyone! Most undersold sedan
I have had my Sentra SR Turbo for three years now. It has been very reliable compared to our other cars. The leather seats are extremely comfortable. If you are looking for a good economy car this is it. The gas mileage has been much better than the advertised rating in the summer months. The manual transmission was notchy when I first bought it but has become much smoother over time. It is a shame that Manual Transmissions are becoming harder to get as available options in new cars. That is the reason why we bought the Sentra. The manual transmission really changes the driver experience compared to the CVT version.

Do NOT buy a Nissan Sentra OR ANY NISSAN FOR THAT
I purchased a 2017 Nissan Sentra in 2018 with 26,000 on it. Before I got to take my temp tags off of it, the transmission went! They replaced the transmission in 2018 and by the beginning of 2020 it went AGAIN. Both of those time it was covered by the warranty. Then in Nov. 2021 the transmission went AGAIN... now because of my mileage, it's not covered by the warranty and they want me to come up with $5,000. Nissan said the warranty on their transmission is 1 year OR 12,000 miles! 3 transmissions since I've owned the car... this isn't right. Nissan is WELL AWARE of their problems with CVT transmissions! They just lost a class action lawsuit because of this exact issue. I NEVER thought I would ever have to put that kind of money into this car- that's why I saved to buy a 2017 in 2018. Nissan doesn't care about the safety of their customers either and it shows. Thank goodness mine went on my way to work, pulling out of a gas station. I have read about the transmission going out on people who were driving on thr freeway and some that caused fatal car accidents. I've also driven cars with 189,000 miles on it and the transmission never needed to be repaired let alone be replaced! I lost my job due to not having a car and it caused a MAJOR snowball effect in my life! I almost lost my home as well. I couldnt believe that Nissan wouldn't cover a 3rd transmission knowing that they should last way longer than a year and all the issues they have with them. I never got my money back for the tows or car rentals.....my credit is really awful because I was not able to come up with $5,000- trying to get another car was damn near impossible. Everytime a tow company came to pick up my car, they would make comments about how this is VERY common and that Nissan is one of the brands they pick up the most! I will NEVER purchase a Nissan ever again and I tell my story to anyone I know is looking to purchase a new car. I was PUNISHED for buying a Nissan- it literally RUINED MY WHOLE LIFE. They should be ashamed- if you don't believe me, do the research yourself...
2017 NISMO Sentra
Research the CVT transmission before purchasing this vehicle. If buying used, consider getting an extended warranty. We bought this car in 2020 with less than 30000 KM. My wife drives our Sentra exclusively in eco mode. On the way back from working a 12 hour shift the dash and interior lights started flashing, the car went into limp mode and when she pulled over and shut down it wouldn't start. We had it towed to the Nissan dealer. They diagnosed a failed alternator. 1 or more of three diodes failed. Although a replacement alternator online is under 300.00 they charged more than 800.00 plus labour. We paid 150.00 with our extended warranty. Some dash controls are not illuminated and hard to detect at night. The light control is blocked by the steering wheel. Sport and eco mode can be accidently bumped on by my left knee. A large warning that it is cold outside remains displayed on the dash. It's irritating. When you first turn on the ignition the average fuel consumption is displayed. I'd much rather have a running toll of fuel economy than an outside temperature warning. The fog lights cannot be activated at the same time as the headlights. They look cool with the daytime eyebrow led lights. The Nismo seats are comfortable and offer excellent lateral control however the side seat bolster is hard to slide over when entering the front seats. It now makes sense why a used 2019 Nismo Sentra we looked at had a ripped side seat bolster . The sentra has amazing rear seat head and leg room. The trunk is huge and deep. The car handles quite well with 18" wheels and the Turbo offsets the the low HP of the small 1.8 liter motor. Fuel economy is awesome. Ride and comfort is good. Road sound is minimal. The styling of the Nismo is gorgeous with wind tunnel tested spoilers and rear diffuser. FYI I have driven 3 Altima SE's and put over 200,000 on each without so much as a lightbulb repair. Surprisingly, our 2008 had 350,000 before the CVT transmission failed. It never let us down once during our entire ownership. We also purchased a used 2014 Pathfinder with under 60,000 KM. It already had a transmission replaced by the previous owner. I am currently feeling a clunk in the front R wheel when turning the steering wheel. The previous owner may have towed with it. For the first time owning a Nissan I find myself worried about reliability and expensive car repairs.

Love for the little car.
I'm 6'3 and fit very well in the car. I bought it new and in 3 years I've put 65k on it. The transmission had a small issue at 29k but its been great since. I do run the car in spot mode all the time and it does everything I want it to do. Mpg is anywhere from 36 to 48mpg depending on the outside temps. It does fit a family of 4 just fine. It you are buying one try for a sunroof. Its a fun little car .to drive to work or on vacation. Oh and at 65k it still looks new and runs like new.

Very disappointed
We had gone with Nissan for reliability... This Sentra is very cheaply made. The door handles are seperating from the car! The engine sounds rough. We are just counting down the days for bigger issues, and have decided to stay away from Nissans in the future.
Disappointed with this car,
I owned a 2011 Sentra and although I didn't find it very comfortable I was happy with the way it drove so I decided to upgrade to a 2017 SV Sentra. Although I am happy with all the new safety features such as the backup camera and blind spot warning lights I am really sorry I bought this car because of the transmission and acceleration. It seems they "improved" the CVT transmission in 2012 and now the car is very slow and unresponsive compared to the 2011. On long trips my leg hurts because I'm having to push so hard on the gas peddle to get it to respond and it is very dangerous merging and passing. Also the cruise control doesn't work on even small hills which is very annoying. As soon as I pay down my loan I will be looking around for a better, safer car.

I bought my Sentra S as as dealer loaner car that was 6 months old with 5000 miles. I now have 14,000 miles so I think I can do a reasonable review. The good thing about getting a slightly used car is if it is certified the warranty is 7 years /100,000 miles and I saved about $4,500 off of MSRP. I like the features of the S sedan. It has nice stitching on the seats and the arm rests. It has auto headlights. It has Bluetooth calling which I love. I think the drive and fit/finish on the Sentra is better than the Altima. I get between 32-40 MPG using the econ mode which brings me to my favorite feature, it will go 75mph at 2000rpms which is just amazing. I can do 80 mph at less than 2500rpms, I have no idea how it does that. The tranny does have a whine at around 30mph which I don't have a problem with but is there. I would say if you can get this car as a certified for cheap you should get it. I don't know how long it will be reliable however I bought it from a dealer that has free "lifetime power train warranty" so I'm not really concerned. My dealer charges oil change/tire rotation 4 for $200 which is expensive but I did it anyways just to protect the warranty. The only other maintenance I foresee is oil changes every 5K miles and tranny/radiator flush every 60K. I'll do the plugs and brakes myself. I fully expect to own this car for over 10 years and 150K miles.

Not a SI..but it works!
If you put it in sport mode with traction off, it performs.

Awesome car
My name is Solomon and I am an eighteen year old male. I really love my 2017 nissan sentra sv. It helps make it easy for me to get from school and to work every single day really easy and good. I save fuel and I enjoy the interior and exterior of the vehicle. I love how it picks up, not too slow and not so fast for an eighteen year old. I am looking forward to purchasing a newer model when I finish paying my car note on my 2017 nissan sentra sv. I also love the push button and this is my first car and I am so satisfied and happy with my purchase, thank you so much nissan. I appreciate the fun and nice car.

Decent car HORRIBLE brake pedal switch
This car will intermittently not start. This is a issue that won't be a big deal until you get stranded. Very scary and distressing

That emergency brake HAS to be ON........
I am single and leased the vehicle because the salesperson was great at what he did and helped me get a vehicle even though my credit was not good. From the beginning I noticed that, on acceleration, there was the feeling that the emergency brake was somewhat engaged.......very draggy and dull acceleration. The car lurches at times (automatic transmission) and that is not a good feeling when I need to GO. The interior is black and very cheaply constructed. Just vacuuming it is difficult because nothing wants to release from the fabric. Nylon of some kind. It's awful. The mats and floor carpet are cheap and also are also VERY difficult to vacuum clean. The construction of the driver's seat hurts my right hip. The GOOD parts of the vehicle are the huge trunk, the nice styling of the outer body, and that's about it. It is difficult to get in and out of. There is no odometer to reset once I fill it up. The gas tank is too small, yet it does get good mileage.......have to fill up every few days......and of all the crazy things, the gas tank opening is on the PASSENGER side of the CAR. I am NOT HAPPY with this vehicle, yet am grateful to have it, given my credit situation. But if you can get a Altima or better, do it. I had a 2005 Altima that was still going strong this March when I was hit and it was totaled beyond any hope. But it was an awesome vehicle all the way around, and I LOVED it and am still saddened that it is gone. Altima is great.

Based on rental experience, it’s a NO GO
I drove this car daily for the past 2 weeks as a rental while my SUV was being repaired. Did it get me from point A to B? Yes. Did it do much else? No. Honestly I am not impressed with this car at all. For being a 2017 model it had no technology whatsoever. I am used to the back up camera, pushbutton start, Wi-Fi, and Apple CarPlay in my SUV. Believe it or not this car sells for about the same as what I paid for my 2018 Chevy equinox, but with no added bonus is that my car has whatsoever. When driving, the acceleration is extremely poor. Trying to go over 50 miles an hour is a big challenge. The sound system is a total joke. Turning the radio up to more than 50% of its max volume makes it sound like a rattling Ma The sound system is a total joke. Turning the radio up to more than 50% of its max volume makes it sound like a rattling mess. The gas mileage was poor as well, I did not get nearly the gas mileage that it claims to offer. The only good thing about this car is that it is quite roomy for a compact. The back seat and trunk are spacious for a car of this size. Besides that I cannot think of anything positive to say. For the money there is no value in this vehicle. I absolutely could not wait to get my car back and turn this one back to the rental car agency. Would not buy. There are way better cars on the market for the same price

serious safety problems
I do not recommend the sentra model of nissan to anyone, it has serious safety problems.I had a 2017 nissan sentra that was hit from behind by a suburban chevrolet, the chevrolet did not suffer absolutely any damage, I mean nothing at all ,while one of the main support bars below the sentra was folded like a paper, I mean the car was total lost. I think the problem is in the design it does not have a protective steel bar behind ,it is incredible that Nissan makes something like that, on the other hands the car had the a bad internal finished , also the audio with very poor quality. in the end are many better options in other brands, thanks to god.

Love it so far
Bought used for very cheap 16k with just under 10k miles on it. Had the Check engine light come on once around 16k and another time around 30k, both for minor issues no big deal. The ride is best on the highway with the premium package, navigation and 8 speaker bose sound is fantastic for this price. Love the styling of this car, ample power with the manual transmission (not sure about CVT) I think the manual will last longer anyways. I get compliments on the rims, At 38k miles a portion of that highway It still feels like it drives how it did when I got it. Only complaint is that when getting on the highway, after a long drive (500 miles) my check engine light started blinking , this I concluded was due to pushing the car hard without giving her a long enough breaktime. So, this made me push the car not as hard on those types of trips. I think longterm it will be relaible and if not hey it was a blast to drive for this cheap. Also can still trade in three years later with only a $5k loss, which isn't too bad for a nissan. Looking to keep for a while now since my credit score is high now and will be paid off fully in a couple months. Best parts of the car is power, fun and very easy to drive (if you know manual). Wind noise is better than average for this type of compact car but hit a bumpy road and you WILL feel it. Probably from the sporty feel, but still great car and worth it.
About what I wanted
Tiny gas tank (13 gal?) and tires. Stodgy but has tight handling, you feel the road (which I like). Also like eco setting, interior, trunk space, good visibility. Little info given on how to use infotainment system. Navigation not as good as WAZE but oK. Screen good but can't use usb port for phone without losing sound??

40K MILES AND THE TRANS IS FAILING...
This car is slow. Pushing it up a hill would be faster then driving it up a hill. Terrible mileage. I am at a gas station gassing it up so much, I should be charged rent. Absolutely no power, I am so disappointed. I wanted the Juke but got bullied into this piece of [non-permissible content removed] by the Nissan dealership in Hayward, CA. I have never hated any car as much as I do this car. You want an update? It's 2 years old, and now that I have 40,000 miles on it the transmission is slipping. There is your update 8-6-19

Great Nissan sedan!
I replaced the wheels which only had plain looking wheel covers with a set of four maxim wheels by konig. These wheels are ferris black with chrome accent. They make my Nissan Sentra SV look more like a sports sedan. The scarlet ember paint color looks great. I get compliments all the time. I also like the exhaust note and acceleration. The handling is very responsive and accurate. Overall I give this car a five star rating.

Its good
I bought my sentra used at a local Nissan dealer, the original owner put 20' rims and new exhaust system on it,..don't honestly know why because it's only a 1.6L engine, but all in all its been a pretty good car for me, I've had it for about 2 years now and it hasn't required much maintenance but it's great for traveling and the sports mode does give you that little extra boost you may lack in the other two modes but again, I've had a great experience with this car

Should have bought the Altima
Had a 2008 Sentra for 10 years with 34k miles and decided to buy a new one. Test drives never tell the story. What a huge mistake the CVT is the worst I have ever experienced and the engine is ridiculously NOISY. Wife got an Altima the same day and I should have gotten one as well. Its not the greatest but certainly better than the Sentra.

ok car but has it`s flaws also sensors fail often
only had this car for 2 years now, been in the shop 3 times for the same problem the mass airflow sensor. every winter, it just fails for no reason. doesn`t seem to affect the running, or driveability. However it`s still a bad sign. What else will go wrong before the Warrenty runs out? very disappointed. Also the stereo system, and Aux input. poor quality. the aux input has a terrible short in it, can`t be plugged in completely, has to be in about half way tried several brand of cords. same issue. speakers crackle, not impressed. shifting, and acceloration hesitates from 3rd to 4th gear. Love the car as a whole but nervous to buy it outright at this point.
