Two days after I purchased my brand new 2024 platinum Rogue I brought it back to the dealer and showed my salesman the blank screen. He said he hadn’t seen that before and randomly pushed buttons, kept turning the vehicle on and off until the infotainment screen finally turned on. He thought it was just a fluke because it was brand new and needed time to finish its programming sequence. He convinces be it wouldn’t happen again… It continued to happen, and is still happening. I called all the customer service numbers and was told that they will investigate the issue and get back to me. In the mean time I continued to bring the car back to the dealership until I was finally told that “yes “ this is a known defect with the 2024 SL and Platinum versions of the Rogue. The service manager sort of apologized for making me run back and forth until their head engineer could see it happening, and confessed that there is no fix yet, the company is working on developing the software to fix this issue. They said this “fix” could happen any time via satellite, but they had no idea when this amazing fix via satellite would occur. The best part is that when the screen goes blank I have no access to any of the cameras and my side mirrors turn downward when I am trying to park or just back up my car ! I just received a call back from the Nissan powers that be and was told that this issue is not serious enough for them to do anything for me, and that the lemon law does not apply because although I have been back and forth to their service department many more than just three times, those visits don’t count because since there is no fix yet ,they technically haven’t tried to fix the issue three times. I was supposed to be happy that when “the fix” becomes available tomorrow, next month or years from now, they agree to fix this mysterious issue free of charge.

Sold an unsafe and improper manufactured car

I purchased a 2023 Platinum Rogue in April 2023, 13 days later my car immediately slowed down and stopped on a major highway in front of a tractor trailer. The dashboard lit up with Engine malfunction alert then Nissan Connect emailed me about an Engine emissions malfunction. My children and I could have died if they tractor trailer would have hit us. The dealership charged $250. for a loaner car that should have been free and then told me that the throttle in the Engine is bad. How did it pass inspection? Where are the recalls? Nissan does not have the parts needed to fix the malfunction and it's on back order with no estimated arrival date but they're still selling the vehicles I've purchased Nissan cars since 2001, same service advisor since 2001 and this is the first time I've ever received car Engine malfunction on any vehicles but the Rogue has malfunctions after just having it for 13 days. The dealership catered to me on the day of purchase but act like they didn't know me when I brought the car in with an engine malfunction at day 13 of owning. I called Nissan Corporation. Nissan is producing cars and selling cars but not producing the required mechanical parts to fix car repairs when their vehicles malfunction. This is sad. They're going to want their car note payment on time but the owners time and expectation of having a safe vehicle means nothing.

Emission control problem

We just bought a Nissan rogue 2023. Less than 1500 miles on it and I get a message on my phone that there may be a problem with the emission control system. The engine light comes on so you can not use automatic start, cruise control, or several other features. We of course took it right away to be serviced at Nissan and they said it was a problem with the censor and there is not a fix yet. So the car is broke, no compensation, and they have not fixed or replaced car. Also they are still selling them and other consumers are having this problem too!

In January with 2600 miles my check engine light came on and the code pulled was P0181 Fuel Temperature Sensor. So the dealership ordered a new fuel injector pump, which took almost 2 months to come in. Got that fixed in the middle of March and 3 weeks later I was driving on the highway, on my way to the dealership for a oil change and tire rotation when I went to pass a car in front of me and as I accelerated, I heard a car misfire which I thought was someone else’s car bc I only have 7500 miles so that can’t be me, right?! But as I got a little further, my car started sounding louder and louder and as I gave it more gas It sounded like as if I was driving in 1st gear. No symbols or lights appeared on dashboard so I kept driving. As I got a little further, I could tell my car was not at the speed I should’ve been which would’ve been about 70-75. So I looked at my speedometer and it was climbing down from 65 then to 60. THEN….my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree!!! And the car told me to “Please move over safely!” Now mind you, I am in the fast lane and my car is slowing down and now I need to move over 3 lanes and in front of cars and semis. This was so stressful and dangerous bc I wasn’t sure if my car was just going to stop dead in front of a car and then someone would hit me! But I survived that and managed to get into the emergency lane and put it into park. But then my engine died! I tried to start it after a few minutes and nothing. So I had to call the dealership and have my car towed there. Once there they said they would give me a loaner and call me the next day and give me an update. The loaner they gave me was another 2023 Rogue, but Platinum Edition with only 1600 miles. This car has all the “bells & whistles”. Very nice! So the next day they call me and tell me that they have to replace my engine! Something about a broken rod bearing. They said they have no idea how long it will take for the new engine to come in. Could take 1 or 2 months. So! It’s been a little over a month and I’m enjoying the loaner and all it’s bells and whistles, when all of a sudden I look at my dashboard gauges yesterday and I see the “check engine” light is on! With only 3300 miles. Omg! So now I’m like wth is wrong with these 2023 Rogues?! So this morning I take it to Auto Zone so they could do a diagnostic and pull the code for this light and….WAIT FOR IT….it’s another P0181 code. Yep! It’s the Fuel temperature sensor! So now I get to call the dealership up and let them know that the loaner they gave me has the same problem I had with my Rogue back in January when it had 2600 miles and now I’ll have to bring in this loaner for a repair. SMH! So definitely, Nissan needs to send out some recalls or something. Because this is dangerous. Maybe they should’ve just kept the 4 cylinder engine? Because the way I see it, that is the common denominator. I previously owned a 2018 & 2021 Rogue Sv 4 cyl. and never experienced these issues.

I have owned 2 Rogues previously to our new 2023 SV turbo. This model is very good with a couple exceptions. The heater selector had only 4 positions. In order to keep the windshield from frosting over fan must be on max and all air diverted to the windshield. This means that if you want to warm your feet and legs you have to switch the air flow down but then you must constantly scrape the windshield. Not great on a long trip. The next problem that came up is the transfer case started leaking oil. Now we are waiting for parts to have it repaired. The car has 4,000 km.

Strong fuel smell Nissan can't fix

Even after 6 to 7 hours in our garage when I come home, my wife's 2023 Rogue smells of strong fuel smell that leaks into our home. Nissan has had multiple complaints and has no fix. We have joined a class action lawsuit against for this issue. We are worried about our safety and health. Don't buy the Rogue! We don't want others to be disappointed. We do love the style and everything else, but this is a huge issue to us.

I loved my Nissan, then the Head unit went in October and it’s now March and Nissan can’t fix it because they don’t have the parts! It’s the middle of March. On March 17th it will be a year and the car has been broke longer than it’s worked and can’t seem to be fixed! The car has the following issues, a fuel pump issue, warnings go off for no reason, it’s louder than it should be (a fire wall issue). Dispute having videos, Nissan can’t duplicate the issue so nothing can be done! The head unit with controls the cameras, radio, and charging ports and may be affecting the safety sensors, can’t be replaced because Nissan can’t get the parts! Yet they can keep making them? So I was told today after a month in a rental to come get my car in the same condition it was when I left it there! They can’t get parts! Update: So the head unit in the car took 8 months to fix, Nissan promised compensation and did not ever send, the car starting became hit or miss on the first attempt often taking extra time to get where I needed to be, come to find out another recall, While there was so many things to like about the vehicle, It’s not worth the stress and aggravation. It was the 2nd Nissan I owned and I can tell you there will never be a 3rd unless it’s given to me free and even then I think I would get rid of it. So in summary, the head unit only worked for the first 6 months, it was replaced and still rebooted all the time, the window issue was never repaired even though they claimed they replaced it, The fuel pump issue was never repaired cause they couldn’t duplicate however I had no problems recording the issue everyday. I wouldn’t recommend the Nissan to my worst enemy. I often wonder if the reviews on the vehicle on different websites are not bought. In my experience, it was an unreliable piece of junk that I am glad to be rid of! I owned the car exactly 2 years to the day, I purchased a Subaru forester, in witch I got better financing (2.9% verses Nissan 6.89%) and more options for less money.
DO NOT BUY a 2024 Rogue SL or Platinum!!!

We bought a brand new 2024 Nissan Rogue SL in May 2024. Almost immediately we had issues with the display/radio unit not coming on when you start the car. We called our local dealer and when we took it back in (driving an hour each way to the dealer) it, of course, worked fine. But about every 8 - 10 times you start the car it doesn’t work, meaning no back up camera, no radio, no nothing. They admitted that there are many owners of this car that have experienced this problem, but have no solution to offer and don’t seem to be too concerned about fixing it. I think it is about time for a good lawyer to file a class action lawsuit against Nissan to force them to provide an immediate solution, or refund the purchase price and take these lemons back. It is completely unacceptable to spend $40,000+ on a new car and not have your cameras and radios work. We have been a loyal Nissan owner for many years, having two Altima’s previously, but never again.

Update: Nissan shop said it was a failed battery issue and replaced the battery free of charge. How a brand new car battery can already be dead is beyond me. We are hoping this was a one time scare. Original review: We bought a brand new 2023 Rogue, with the hopes of having a safe, reliable family car. After just one month of ownership, and less than 1,000 miles, it’s already in the shop. As we were driving with kids on a busy road, the engine power cut out and the dash displayed a Reduced Engine Power / Engine Malfunction light. Thankfully we were able to limp off of the highway. But this was not how we anticipated our new Rogue ownership to go. Had to get a tow truck, Uber with car seats. Nightmare. Thankfully, our dealer provided a free loaner car. This service was promised by them at the time of purchase. We are nervously awaiting the diagnostic results. Will keep this updated. To anyone out there considering buying a new Rogue, my advice is to make sure the dealer you buy it from provides free loaners.

2023 Rogue-Do not recommend! Gas smell inside cabin and outside of car. The smell did not start right away but was noticeable after about 2000 miles. Took the Rogue to Nissan dealership, and they said Nissan is aware of the issue and that the Rogue is under Engineering Review. Nissan dealership said they checked for gas leaks to make sure there was no safety problem, but that there was nothing else to do until Nissan issues a recall or figures out a fix for wherever the gas is leaking. I hope I can trust that my Rogue is actually safe while we wait on this fix. Disappointing to have a brand new Nissan with no fix. I would not recommend to anyone else to buy a 2023 Rogue until they have a fix unless you want to be stuck with no loaner car while yours is in the service department not getting fixed.

We just purchased our first Nissan product. We chose a dark blue Nissan Rogue SL AWD with the premium package. Yes I did research and read the reviews, both good and bad and decided to roll the dice. I've been through the Lemon Law process in the past over a new Chevy truck so I'm not overly concerned. The bonus was that our local family owned dealer gives a lifetime warranty on the power train with a $100 deductible included for free. So far we love the open airy feeling, the light oyster colored interior and the moon roof. If issues start I'll update. So far so good

I have several problems in my rogue 2023 1.the radio stop working after 3 days 2. USB connections completely damage 3. Roof is leaking water to inside (I don’t have moonroof) my car have 4 months in the shop. Nissan give rental car this past 4 months but I recommend people don’t buy this car this is my 7 Nissan and my last one

My first experience with any Nissan product and so far so good. Purchased this vehicle at the end of June after my 2013 Outback was totaled in an accident. I considered another Subaru Outback but there were some issues it had I was unwilling to live with namely all controls on a touch screen and lane keeping dependent on cruise control being engaged. As I mentioned earlier, this is my first Nissan product. The cabin is airy and bright. The seats are excellent and very supportive. Even the rear seats are pretty decent. As to the level of cabin noise, a cargo cover remedied a good portion of that. Outward visibility is quite good but a bit restricted out of the back. The BSW is helpful with that. The safety technology is excellent and very customizable. Adaptive cruise control is a treat and lane keeping is quite good especially if you are left hand dominant. Engine power is more than sufficient. This is not my first turbo engine car and is my second car with CVT. The turbo is oil cooled only so be sure you check oil levels frequently and change the oil regularly but more frequently than Nissan states. BTW, NIssasn 0W-20 oil is repackaged Mobil 1 according to the dealer. For those of you who have never owned a turbo engine car, a few pointers. When the engine is cold, drive it gently for the first 5 to 7 miles so everything warms up . After a run on the highway let the engine idle for about 3-5 minutes otherwise you risk damaging the turbocharger bearing. Also, this engine suffers from a bit of turbo lag. That can be remedied by replacing the factory air filter with a K&N air filter. I have been using K&N filters for years and they work as advertised. As for the CVT, I have found a light right foot serves me best. CVTs do not have gears like a traditional transmission. There is a special steel belt that connects two pulleys that can vary in size thus your gear ratios. Passing someone does not require mashing the gas pedal. Pressing the gas about 1/3 to 1/2 down generally yields the desired result. You just need to learn where that place is. The Rogue handles reasonably well considering that the tires leave something to be desired. Adding a pound or two more of air above the minimum is helpful. March 2024. Just broke 6000 miles on the Rogue. So far so good. Have had a few momentary electronic glitches that have not recurred. namely false sensor readings related to traction control. Fuel economy is quite good per the computer ranging from 38 MPG down to 23 MPG. Cold weather really saps the fuel economy. I did try multiple tankfuls of 93 octane fuel in a row. The engine actually has more power and runs differently. Fuel economy is also up 3.5 miles per gallon. On 87 octane fuel acceleration is pretty good. Consistently use 93 octane and acceleration is noticeably quicker. Climate controls are good and there is plenty of heat in a very short time on cold mornings. The heated steering wheel, a first for me, was a treat. The heated seats are good too. The adaptive cruise control is a delight. The car almost drives itself on the open highway with minimal intervention on my part. Car and Drive/Motor Trend complain about a noisy interior. Whether I am wearing my hearing aids or not, I find it fairly quiet. I purchase a cargo cover from Nissan when new and it does help quash noise from the cargo area behind the rear seats. Adding a couple of pounds of air to the tires helps handling but the ride isn't as cushy. Minor road imperfections are more pronounced. The transmission works well but as with any CVT, a light right foot is recommended. Passing someone does NOT require mashing the gas pedal to the floor. There is a ton of torque between 1800 to 3200 RPM and if you have 93 octane fuel in the tank, hang on as the Rogue will accelerate quite quickly.

Every 10,000 miles or 12 months it's required to check the CVT fluid, transfer case oil, differential oil. None are do it yourself checks. So every 10.000 miles you'll be paying the dealership a few hundred dollars. If any of those components fail during warranty period and you don't have record of the check, you may be paying for the repair.

Purchased a 2023 Rouge in January. Has 1560 miles on it. To date, the windows quit operating on 3 different occasions and mysteriously. Started working again. Today 2 different mystery’s again, the first being car would not unlock with remote or the button exterior handle, had to use valet key to get in. On the ride home after that the dash lit up with malfunction and beeped althe way home. We carried to the dealership and said nothing showed up codes that would explain any of this. Was told if happen again, do not turn car off and drive to dealership or code will be losses, hope it’s not at 10:00 pm. All seems pretty laughable ble.

I bought 2023 Nissan rogue after 1800 miles there is knocking noise coming from engine I went to 2 different dealerships they acknowledged noise but failed to fix I reported Nissan consumer affairs they said go back to garden city Nissan in Hempstead ny I went today April 13 technisition acknowledged noise and said similar noise coming from new 2023 rogue they can not do anything about it you have to live with this noise it’s very enoying noise I give 1 star to garden city Nissan and Nissan rogue Toyota vehicles are much better and long lasting vehicles

I have always purchased Toyota and Honda; however, my son has a 2015 Nissan Altima which he uses for work that now has 275,000 miles and other than the exhaust manifold and cat converter (@250,000) has never had any issues with it. I purchased a 2023 SL AWD with the SL Premium Package on December 5th car was built (TN) November 2023. I point this out because despite all the good reviews from Edmunds, Cars, etc... there have been numerous issues that I admit I missed regarding the PVC and 1.5 engine, and the recent investigation opened by NHTSA so consider when your vehicle was built. Most of the consumer comments and ratings have been mixed some I think on the bad side are fake or posted multiple times by a user just changing their name. In retrospect would I have bought this had I looked at those reviews and seen the NHTSA probably not, but this is my last vehicle purchase and even not knowing about the 1.5 and the CVT transmission I purchased the full maintenance and extended warranty package so this car will cost me nothing to repair. All that aside I take Nissan word they addressed the L Link and bearing issue with the 1.5 so I am hopeful that my late 2023 has the fixes I know the PVC gas smell has been corrected. My dealer has sold 2000 units with only 3 engine failures and those were 2022. Yes, they gave me a big discount, yes there are still 57 units 2023 available at the dealership. I love all the toys, my leather seats and all the bells and whistles that come with the SL premium package and I am averaging north of 30mpg around town with AWD.

Bought new Rogue in August. Driver's side seat slides back twice before I can drive. Service center couldn't fix problem and said there is a (recall?) on it. Online search doesn't show any recall for that. Also, aside from the noise from the engine, I hear a rumble and feel vibration at times, esp. going at lower speeds. I showed Youtube video of "that noise" and recording on my phone, but was told that all of those noises are normal. I am uneasy when I drive it. No problems with tech stuff so far. Design is good

I already took my car to the dealer 3 times because I have a issue with the radio, stop with no reason and they told me because the radio is with satellite I have to park my car and turn off and the in. I don't think that in the middle of the frewway I am going to stop the rouge so my radio can start working and the airbags especially the front one doesn't turn on since I have a passenger they told in the dealer to put the person in the back

Bought a Rogue not even a day passed by when the check engine lit up. Nissan connect sent a message stating about emissions problems don't exceed 45mph driving the vehicle like that may cause further damage. If you're planning on buying this vehicle don't. I've heard allot about how bad these vehicles are coming out.

Based upon my experience of a week, driving my new Nissan Rogue which arrived with 4100 miles on it, I believe it is a lemon. Immediately upon its arrival in my driveway, I noticed a knocking sound in the front wheel. I made an appointment with a Richmond Nissan company, and they found that the nuts in the axle needed to be torqued. It was in the shop for three days. Driving it home, I heard a bang, and then a major whoosh invading the vehicle. I returned it to the Richmond Nissan dealership, and they discovered that the bottom protector was missing its clips. I determined that I had been sold a lemon and attempted to get Hall Nissan to either give me my money back or give me an even trade. They told me they would give me a comparable vehicle, which had a list price of $1000 less than what I paid for an additional $4000. Beware of Hall Nissan of Virginia Beach.

I bought a Nissan Rogue on September 11th, 2024 and took position on the 12th. I drove it to work and within eight hours after the display screen was blank. That’s when all hell broke loose. In the beginning they tried fixing it, turns out there was no fix, the dealer and Nissan Corporation knew that. I left the vehicle and kept checking on it almost every day and they didn’t provide me with an answer because they didn’t have any. I was devastated, I was given the number for Nissan Corporation and they said they were not the one to contact. Hillside Nissan should take care of this. I tried changing the vehicle also tried getting a totally different model and they kept telling me there has to be a recall. I said from the beginning this would fall under the lemon law. They finally decided to change the vehicle but it would cost me 5000.00 because of depreciation and because there was no insensitive on the Kicks my interest rate would be 7.99%. I told the manager all that he told me didn’t make sense, I told him I was overwhelmed with grief the car is a lemon. I don’t want to go through with this car buying anymore. That’s when I said I have had enough. I took off the insurance, turn the plates in at the DMV. Now my credit is going to be ruined. Am calling Nissan finance and the credit bureaus to find answers because they at the dealership refuse to give me any credible answers after three weeks.

UPDATE (06/01/23) We continue to enjoy our new Rogue. We have had 3 long trip road trips with no issues or alarms. While I was concerned to hear about some of the owners having issues I am grateful that we have not had any issues with our new Rogue. We have just over 8000 miles on it and will soon be getting our 2nd oil change. Nice, quiet ride and getting GREAT gas mileage. At times, if the onboard computer is correct, we are getting over 37 mpg on the hwy. This is our first NEW car since 1988. (We have owned new used cars). Lots of bells and whistles. We have a little over 2000 miles on it since we purchased it and no complaints so far. If I did have a complaint it would be that the SV model does NOT come with a power lift gate. There is no button on the dash board to open from inside the car and not one on the key fob. Nissan, this is your trunk (lift gate)!! Who doesn't provide an interior trunk (lift gate) release as standard? Come on!!!! Otherwise, it is very comfortable, spacious and gets GREAT gas mileage. Most of my driving is hwy miles and I have been averaging around 35 miles per gallon. UPDATE: I am nearing 5000 miles and my 1st oil change. So far, we have had no problems with our new 2023 Nissan Rogue SV. We have not smelled any gas fumes nor have we had any electrical problems. We are grateful having read that some of you have had issues. We have taken our new car on two road trips (one for 2.5 hours one way and mostly hwy) and (one for 4.5 hours and mostly hwy). We had no issues and the car has great acceleration for a 1.5L 3cyl Turbo engine.

I bought a 2023 Nissan Rogue with only 10k miles on and a few days after driving it off the lot my heated seats didn't work so they actually sold me the car with them not working just didn't realize til I actually needed to use them. They fix the issue took all day and didn't hear any updates on it unless I called them. Not even a week after that I go to start my car and it won't start, my battery had died. Take it in and from a previous accident the harness in the front of the car was causing my front and back windshield wipers to not work and draining my battery which is what killed it. Nissan kept lying to me about the parts were in and how long it would take to fix it. Once I finally got my car back after calling them 30 times in one week I felt my car starting to accelerate once the car was turned on even though they told me they fixed every issue. Not to mention the entertainment center in this car sucks as it's always lagging behind what my phone is actually doing and freezes constantly it went completely black multiple times while driving. Ended up trading for a subaru immediately cause I knew I needed to get our of this piece of scrap car thar shouldn't have even been sold to me in the first place.

Preferred not to lease another Nissan after leasing a 2017 and then 2020 Rogue. I initially planned to upgrade to a luxury SUV so I test drove BMW X5 /X3 / GLC / GV70 / A5 and all had some negative traits : lack of physical controls / hard seats / cheap interior / stiff ride...etc. I then decided to test drive a 2024 Rogue Platinum while I was in for service and was surprised at how comfortable and quiet it was. I recalled test driving a 2021 Rogue after the redesign and found it to be noisier than the 2024. A little known fact is that Nissan added active noise cancelling in 2022 and that explains why the road noise is so low. I actually found the BMW X5 with 21 inch summer performance tires to be only slightly quieter to my ear on a test drive.I ended up leasing a 24 Platinum for 2 years and so far am very happy with it, especially the low interest rate lease promo. I would never own one long term due to the complex variable compression 3 cylinder. Unfortunately because of all the electronic features on modern vehicles no new vehicle is immune to annoying problems and leasing is going to be the most logical solution for new car buyers as complexity drives up the cost of repairs

Love the style and ride. The car smells like gas in the cabin. The mileage isn’t the best and my steering wheel control is broken. I should have never traded my 2020 Rogue in! I’m going to try and trade my 23 in as fast as I can!

My 2023 Nissan Rogue – the fuel gauge reads incorrectly. The display registers 276 miles to empty when the gas tank is full. The gas gauge does not go to full after filling the tank. It takes time to go to full mark. I have been reading about this problem with the Nissan Rogue and they’re saying it’s the fuel level sensor sender unit that needs to be replaced. So I took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't find the problem and wouldn't install new sensors. This is an ongoing problem and I have bumper to bumper warranty. This has been going on for 2 months - off and on. Today it was working, so they won't fix it.

First off let me say that if you're an aggressive driver, the Rogue may not be the car for you. It's not designed to be a high performance SUV. Reading the various reviews, other than mechanical complaints, a lot of the negatives involve things such as uncomfortable seats, road noise, poor performance, etc. Those are issues of a personal nature and should have been discovered on a test drive. What may be a negative for one person, may not be an issue for another. As for knocking engine noise, gas smell, etc., those could be problems. As for me, none of those conditions exist with my Rogue. I find my Rogue very comfortable, quiet, has decent acceleration and very easy to drive. As for gas mileage, I'm averaging 35.9mpg on mixed driving. In purely around town driving, I'm averaging 25.5mpg. On a recent trip, my best MPG was 47.2 with an overall of 42.4. Note: I drive the speed limit, no jack rabbit starts and no last minute braking when coming to a stop. I'm single, mostly the only one in the car. Lastly, my Rogue is FWD. I couldn't justify the extra cost of AWD when I don't really need it. Bottom line, if you're interested in a Rogue, visit a dealer and thoroughly test drive it for yourself and note the pros and cons that matter to you. UDAPTE...After 6 months of driving my 2023 Rogue, I still have not had any issues. In my earlier review, I said this car is not for an aggressive driver. By that I meant if you are used to a V6 or V8 type of performance, you may feel like the Rogue is underpowered. My previous SUV had a turbo 4 cylinder with 250 horse power. While the Rogue has a turbo 3 cylinder rated 201 horse power, I don't find there is much difference in the way it performs for the way I drive. I am now actually having fun driving the Rogue, which I didn't have in my previous SUV. Couple that with outstanding MPG, it's a winner. I am averaging mid 30s in mixed driving and have gotten 47+ on strictly highway driving. I find that the car is very quiet at highway speeds with no discernible engine or transmission noise, nor excessive wind noise. Granted, if you floor board the accelerator, you will hear engine noise. Also, when accelerating to pass a car on a two lane road, you again will hear engine noise. Not so on the interstate, at least for me. As for the interior, my Rogue has real leather seats....not leatherette. The infotainment system is top notch and very responsive, with excellent sound. I have all my favorite music on a thumb drive and it works instantly when starting the car, unlike my previous SUV. The steering has a very solid feel and is also very responsive. I also like the 360 degree camera. The heads up display on my Rogue not only displays the speed, but the traffic speed limit signs and radar cruise information as well. All in all, I'm still very happy with my choice.

We bought a Nissan rogue from a local deal a year ago. Within a month or so it had a sensor issue. Later in the year the breaking system went bad. The local deal shut down so it needs to be driven 125 miles for service but is broken ( and we have to pick it up) We tried to use roadside assistance, because it was undrivable. First attempt was a two hour wait and the wrong kind of tow showed up. Second attempt was a canceled tow notification after three hours after a three hour wait. We are now in our third attempt to get roadside assistance and waiting on hold. I am debating just having it towed privately to my mechanic and say screw the warranty. Clearly it is meaningless. Avoid this brand!

My new 2023 Nissan Rogue is in the shop 6 times now. 1st was the problem with the auto popping on and going to 75, The rattle in the dash, the fan motor is so noisy fan motor has a high pitch at times, and now a radiator leak. Had to duplicate the Ac problem for them and finally did after a long drive with a mechanic, replaced part only to take it back to reprogram the part. Still no control over the ac/heat at times, it's like the auto is on in the background. Setting the temp to 72 I should be getting hot air, at times I get hot or lukewarm. After letting the car warm with the temp on 76 and needing ac for a few minutes, I put on the AC and down to 65 only to get hot air at times. I was told the ac is trying to bring the ambient temp up as the temp outside is cold and the car is trying to warm...I told them forget AUTO, not on auto if I put my AC on 65 I should be getting cold air not hot at this point. Now 6 times later and noise control padding in the dash and replacing the dash vent I still have rattling noise and the fan noise with the radiator leak in the hose. I've got over 700 miles and hours of drive time just going to the dealership. On the plus side the dealership has been great to work with. I've read other reviews with problems, If you have the same problems take it to the dealership so they can note it for everyone. Also the new transmission doesn't do well on a deep incline. The motor reves up and doesn't shift till you let off the gas and ease back on the gas. The only plus is the Rogue gets great gas mileage. Update, picked up my Rogue only to drive 2 miles and smelled gas. Now I have a new problem, the AC when I change temp settings will change the vent flow from my face to the floor just by adjusting the temp. The radiator hose they said they replaced now hss more clamps. Sense when does a radiator hose get spliced and not replaced? The rattle in the dash was not as bad but still rattling at times. Said they couldn't duplicate the transmission problem atthis time. I did t buy a new 2023 Rogue for problems, fixing to go back for the 7th times with video of AC problem.

I purchased a 2023 Rogue SV in December 2023. It only had 10 miles on it. Now, on Sept. 8th, it broke down when my kid's were on their way home from school. Luckily, my son was able to pull over. They were stranded a short while until I was able to get to them. I had it towed directly to the dealership. They just called me on 9/14 and said I need a new ENGINE!!!! HOW? There's less than 13k miles on it. Besides that, I love it. There aren't any other issues. I had a Sentra for 4 years and I had zero issues. Maybe this is an SUV thing. The tow, rental, and engine replacement is covered. The dealership gave me a 2023 Rogue Platinum and I don't want to give it back.

We bought this rogue 2023 model January of this year after having a vehicle for only a few weeks, we got a check engine light and had electrical issues. Had to take the vehicle in for service already the second time we had to take the vehicle and it had about 1500 miles we noticed the vehicle smelling of gasoline inside and out so we took it to the dealer and were told they’re aware of it they have over 60 customers having the same complaint they told us that Nissan is aware of the problem and has no fix at this time but me be due to winter blend gas 😂 which this is ridiculous we do not have winter blend in our area would not recommend a Nissan product at this time Poor customer service. 😒

It's been a hell of a run trying to get my new Nissan Fixed. Last Feb my front-end collision light came on repeatedly. There was no one in front or behind me when it happened. I took it into the dealership, and they couldn't find anything wrong. Finally, my whole dash lit up with the warning. It recorded on the computer. My front camera was replaced. It was taken in in Feb, but I didn't get the part until April. It took me calling Nissan consumer affairs on a Fri and the part was there on Mon. August came along and it is doing it again. Since it won't show up on the computer, they keep telling me that they can't fix it. Started another consumer affairs complaint again and was told that my request for it to be replaced or fixed was rejected.

Although this car is very sleek and stylish, its dependability is worse than any car I’ve ever owned. Car began having engine issues at 40k miles. Took car to shop and was informed that Nissan had had this issue a lot with these year model Rogues but are calling the issue normal since many of them are doing the same thing. Took car in several times due to motor acting up only to have Nissan tell me nothing was wrong. Now the car is past its warranty and the motor has gone completely out. Nissan is very well aware of this issue but refuse to implement a recall. Even though all Nissans do not have the same engine, and probably are still good vehicles, I refuse to ever purchase another car through them

Climant control set to 65 (or any setting) regardless of synch setting on or off and the car intermittently about every 30-60 minutes will reset the climate control to 75 degrees. No matter how many times it is reset, with or without synch setting, regardless of front, right passenger setting or rear settings, it reverts back to 75 degrees. Never resets to another number- always 75 degrees. Other sites have complaints about this posted and their cars are resetting at 75 degrees intermittently while driving also. It also does not matter the outside temperature. It has done this at outside temps above 90 degrees and below 60 degrees

Bought our 2023 Rogue in Dec 2022. Since March, I've been having trouble with the tailgate. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it works, all ways to open it work. When it doesn't work, none of the access methods work. It's going in for service for the 3rd time next week. They can never figure out what's wrong. Getting frustrated. Other than the tailgate issue it's a great little car. Update 12/23/24: My tailgate problem was fixed in the spring of 2023. Turns out a loose fuse was the cause. Since then, the tailgate has worked perfectly. It's a great little SUV.

I drive Uber/Lyft and put on 28,000 miles since buying new. I, and my riders, find the car very comfortable and roomy. I get from 31mpg City to 55mpg Hwy. The pickup is quick even in the eco mode. Up to 38,000 miles and it's still driving great. UPDATE: Just hit 49,000 miles. Still running smoothly with no issues.

So first thing, there’s a lot of negative reviews on here that are obviously written by the same person using different names. Notice the grammar and the complete lack of objectivity? Not sure what the issue is with this individual, but whatever. So I’ve got 3900 miles on my Rogue Platinum AWD and so far I’ve only had one issue and that’s the volume button on the steering wheel lost it’s “spring back” when using it. Took it in and they ordered the part. No biggie really. Other than than that, great little SUV. Comfortable, great Bose stereo, quiet, awesome fuel economy, 34-38 on average with mixed driving. Plenty of power for the mountains, brakes are smooth and above average. Overall I love it. I’d totally buy another! I still gave it 5 stars even though I’ve had one small issue. I never owned a new car that didn’t have at least one issue under warranty so I’ll give it 5 stars for now. I’ll keep you guys updated if anything else comes up.

I recommend that everyone google Nissan 1.5 Engine in the NEWS before taking all the Car reviews information as gospel as they are bias because of the income they receive from car companies. That said I purchased a 2023 Rogue SL Premium AWD in December 2023 and am closing in on 10,000 miles the car carries a 11/2023 TN build stamp. I changed the oil at 3750 as recommended then after discussion with the service manage will be doing oil changes every 5000 rather than the 7500 called for in the book. I will also be draining and refilling the CVT fluid at 30,000 which he recommended to fend off the dreaded JATCO CVT failure. I have had no issues with the dreaded gas smell, and I believe that Nissan has worked on the L Link bearing issue, but the early oil changes are meant to address that as well as the turbos that use the engine oil to cool them. The vehicle itself has been great it's very comfortable for me at six feet, 225 and I love the look, and it drives fine once you get used to the turbo and CVT which I never had before. There is definitely a learning curve which some posts from owners have been very helpful getting me onboard to maximize power and smoothness. The vehicle cruises the interstate very comfortably at 80MPH and I appreciate the pro pilot access features that I use on the freeway. The wide opening doors and ease of exit and entry are excellent. There are a couple of sources of information I have relied on to make sure my rogue will continue to run well and hold value. There is a Reditt page dedicated to the Nissan Rogue and there is the Nissan Owners Forum dedicated to the Third Generation. With the Rogue being Nissan best-selling model and with over 500,000 sold I guess a 1% failure rate would account for a large amount of the negative reviews. I guess if your comparing apples to apples and the dollar for each vehicle is the same then I would agree that erroring on the side of caution you should pass on the Rogue, why tempt fate.

I read several review online (Car & Driver, Edmunds, others) that said that the Rogue has lackluster/slow pickup and isn't fun to drive. So this vehicle wasn't even on my radar. But a friend told me that I should drive one. I'm so glad I did! I have a bit of a lead foot so I need my vehicle to move when I need it to. The Rogue does not disappoint!! The pickup is great and it has a smooth, quiet ride. My previous vehicle was a 2015 Toyota RAV4 which I thought was a good vehicle. The Rogue beats the RAV4 hands-down in cabin/road noise, smoothness of ride and the Rogue definitely has more responsive acceleration. I am so glad I gave this vehicle a chance. I'm slightly obsessed with driving it.

Do not like that it does not have a divider in the trunk that covers stuff up like all my other nissan suv's did ... does not have a backseat storage holder behind one of the seats , scary set up with new shift where u just press a button to Park and to go reverse u have to shift up not down... also now I am noticing when I press the P for parking it is also flashing r as well and the back up camera goes off when u start to move backwards which is very dangerous and it says it is sending info to something when u start the car about ur driving without ur permission..
