NOOOO Very Disappointing, Loud, Cheaply Made

I don’t know where to begin w/this 1..I am heavily disappointed, underwhelmed, frustrated, and honestly a bit angry! I want my little blue 2017 VW Passat GTI back! My VW was 10xs the vehicle that this Nissan is, it was fast, extremely quiet, comfortable, had an amazing sound system and drove/performed like a dream compared to this brand new 2023 Nissan Rogue Midnight Edition (top of the line for this model), i cannot believe I bought this piece of cheap crap for $37k and will be paying $600 a month for the next 5 yrs on a vehicle that I truly cannot stand! I did test drive a different model, which now makes sense since that 1 was probably the quieter one, and seemed more comfortable and quicker?! I just didn’t do my research and didn’t compare to other SUVS in the same price range, size, trim, etc. Cause I think if I would have been shown other options I pretty much would have gone with any other brand! As I was driving this thing home I realized the CONS of this SUV very quickly and felt a very sick, awful feeling in my stomach that I had just bought a hunk of junk! An ugly, uninspiring, cheaply designed and the absolute worst accessories possible! The touch screen lcd monitor graphics are so poor and ugly, the stereo is stock, so very unimpressive, the engine is loud, it shifts weird, and the lane departure assist is sooooooo annoying! The roads around here are super skinny, and I typically ride the outer line, and the car keeps pulling to the left like it thinks I am going off the road. So scary, dangerous and terrifying. Apparently it sees the white line and pulls, cause I don’t ever go over it. My VW had the same option and never pulled like that. It would give a warning, if I was truly over the lines of the lane. The pulling could def cause an accident cause it is so unexpected and jarring. I literally jump everytime it does that. Also, I bought this thing for $37k and after researching it’s value or MSRP is at most $32k, so my VW trade in, they got it free pretty much! My VW only had 40k miles on it, was quick, comfortable, sporty, had an amazing sound system and attractive look. I really want to rewind time and go back to having my cute little blue VW! I am usually so excited and happy with my car purchases, but not this 1! I am left wondering why I was even considering this ugly thing. The headlights are not even in the right location! And they are tiny sliver like headlights. And I am so blind. I try to focus on the pros of this vehicle so I can sleep and eat, but there are so few. It’s roomy, it’s got a comfy driver seat, (not as comfy as my VW), it’s got a good safety rating, and hmmmm I was told it got 40 Mi to the gallon of fuel but it’s already down to 1/2 tank and I have only driven it 100mi. My VW blows this thing away with fuel efficiency. I can’t express how very disappointed I am with this whole deal, I feel so very sad and really just want my VW back. Or a different brand vehicle. Sorry Nissan but this Rogue is a bust it is a car to avoid for sure!

Great car sans the gas smell

Traded in my 2013 Rav 4 for a 2023 rogue sv. The interior is much nicer. Smoother lines and more high touch finishing overall. Average fuel economy to date is about 7.6 litre /100km.. Only gripe is the smell of gasoline in cabin after turning off and going back in car shortly after I read it's a quick fix though by just replacing fuel line Nissan will or should cover repair. Not a big deal I just put HVAC on circ.until smell leaves after a min or so Windshield wiper fluid also drips off wiper instead of squirting like most cars.

Compared to Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX series, Ford Escape, the Nissan is a hands down winner of this buyer!

The refreshed Rogue has the best looking design ever especially the exterior looking better than the previous models. The specific Platinum and SL gets an 12 inch screen with google built in. Thanks Nissan

The infotainment system is horrendous, the engine and transmission are super sluggish. The interior feels very cramped and uncomfortable. So many false alarms in the driver assistance that I just turned everything I could off. Would never recommend this car to anyone that’s considering buying one

The only thing disappointing about Nissan Rogue was the tires. A bad choice for SUV ,had to replace at 16500 miles.

Motor mounts had to be replaced before 10,000 miles. Clicking noise with acceleration and feeling it being stuck. Nissian Corp just told me to keep taking it back to the service center. Had car in shop more than drove it. Best part the size and get up. The car also is made with a Chevy geo prism turbo engine essentially!

We needed a car pretty quickly and our family has had great luck with Nissan products. My sister currently drives a 17 Sentra with over 100k trouble free miles. At first I was worried about the new 3 cylinder turbo engine. But I had driven the 2.5 four in another unit and the 3 is quicker. The price, equipment and dealership were all first rate. And our dealer gives a free lifetime power train warranty to cover the engine, transmission and AWD. Almost one year and 17,000 miles, and my wife driving it 50+ miles five days a week, we are very happy.

Wow I like my 2024 NISSAN Rogue SL Awd so much that I traded in my 22 Rogue SV with fwd last December and I'm still enjoying the ride and great gas mileage.

My 2023 Rogue SV average mpg is 38, and easily go beyond 40 on highway. Seats are comfortable and cargo space is mire than enough for four people. I really like this car!

I have had my Rogue since April 2024. Our of the blue my blower stops working. So far as long as I shut the vehicle off and wait a few minutes and start it again it corrects itself. I can't have this happen in the winter especially.

Imagine taking a much-needed summer trip with your family of four. It’s a busy summer week trying to squeeze in a long weekend with summer camps and family gatherings. To maximize your children’s opportunities to connect with peers and to create meaningful experiences you decide to leave late after camp on Thursday night. Then 150 miles into your trip- BANG- your one-year-old warranty backed vehicle suffers catastrophic engine failure. Your heart sinks. You put your trust in this company to transport your family hundreds of miles away, but they let you down. You’re on the side of the road, your kids are scared, your trunk is full, and you’re stuck the middle of nowhere with midnight approaching. That is precisely the situation I found myself in one July night. But not to worry, Nissan would take care of me, right? After all, the car was under warranty. Any cost incurred as a result of this engine failure ought to be covered. Or so I thought. Evidently Nissan has no interest in ensuring that you arrive at your destination safely, or that you can rely on their vehicles to transport you to and from your destination. And if you need to transport your inoperable vehicle to a dealership to be serviced- you’re on your own. The engine repair was covered, but the transportation costs incurred as a result of the failure were not. Nor were the rental costs for half of the time the vehicle was out of service. Nissan let me down again. I do not plan on giving them the opportunity to let me down a third time.

While the Rogue is roomy, has great gas mileage and many safety features. The Rogue has shifting paddles, I am not sure why it’s an automatic. Things I miss: trunk opener on the key fob and inside the car, heated seats, leather seats, QI charging pad, privacy curtain for the cargo area, usb ports in the cargo area, fog lights.
