First purchased a new Nissan Altima was good car until the transmission went bad. Decided to stick wit h Nissan and traded to a 2011 Rogue Was good car until like the Altima the transmission gave out. Was going to have dealer install a new transmission but after reading reviews by other customers the new transmissions were giving out soon after installed . One of the dealer's service agents told me that unless Nissan came up with a different and better transmission they were going to lose customers. I traded the Rogue for a new Jeep and I will never again buy a Nissan.

I bought mine 6-20-16 and was on the road a week later to Oklahoma, and was comfortable and I'm 6"1 230lbs so I have no complaints as of now.

We purchased our 2016 Nissan Rogue brand new only 2 miles on it. I have had the transmission repaired and now replaced. I have 61 k on it and have had nothing but problems. Pretty much we spent a lot of money for a pile of junk that has left my children and I stuck on the side of the road twice now. After first fix it was only 1k miles before it went out again. I would never recommend this car to anyone. I recommend also checking to see if the car you plan to purchase has the cvt transmission because They are crap, pretty much like a rubber band. Other things to know is that you can not put transmission fluid in or check transmission fluid you have to take it to shop that means $ spent on something stupid you should be able to do your self. Never again!!

Bought the Rouge in July. After 600 miles of driving, the gas pedal and steeringwheel started viabrating between 30 and 60 miles per hour. Brought it back to the dealership. They checked it out and found a small vibration. After four times bringing it back to the dealership and my complaints , they brought in the big guns (Factory rep). After a twenty minute drive that I drove to go over the same things the (rep) said exactly what I expected. The vibration is a characteristic of the car. Nothing they can do. Stuck with it. Keep the payments coming please. To me It seems Nissan has no real interest in the problem. Hope that you are not one of the unlucky owners with this problem.

Nissan VIBRATOR!

Rouge SV - Vibrates significantly. Stay away from this car! The price and interiors are nice; but what's the point if the car vibrates and makes the commute unbearable?? It seems Nissan knows about this issue but the company and its dealers are trying to push it under the rug. NOT A GOOD WAY TO BUILD A BRAND. Carlos Ghosn - Are you listening? This is extremely disappointing under your watch.

Mechanical issue with no answer

My wife and I bought our Rogue in July, 2016. We have taken it on four long vacations and always found it very comfortable, consistent and easy to drive. However, our first clue there was a problem came on our first trip, just two weeks after buying it. We were in a traffic jam on I-95 in New Jersey about to enter NYC, first week of August on a hot, beautiful, sunny day. Suddenly the air conditioning quit working and started blowing out hot air. This went on for about a half hour, then the A/C started working well again. No problems the rest of the trip. I should have taken it in for repairs then but did not. Just over two years later, as we are entering winter, the heater would only blow air conditioned air out of the driver side vents in front and back. Passenger side worked well. Took it to a good, trusted independent mechanic for repairs and a switch was fixed for about $130 and everything was fine. After five or six weeks, we had the same issue. Took it back in and we were told the thermostat had to be replaced. About $350 later it was working again. For a week. Took it back and the cleaned out the compressor. Worked fine but we were told to contact Nissan dealer to see about warranty as the next option would cost about $1100. Sure enough, about two days later the driver side is once again blowing out air conditioned air only. Took it to local Nissan dealer who said a code showed up and they replaced the "problem" for about $390. The next day, barely 15 hours after picking it up, the same freezing issue strikes yet again. The dealer was very polite but explained the next repair option would cost $2000 (same thing independent mechanic said would cost $1100) but if they found an issue they would take it up the ladder to Nissan to try and get help on the cost of repair. The bottom line? My wife and I are done with this lemon and are going to trade it in on something OTHER than a Nissan.

Rav4 or Subaru are better options than Rogue

Interior Color for Center Console is Bright Red, which is not good. Door buttons don't have any light/Glow to look up in Dark/nights. Gear knob is not comfortable. 1 USB is not sufficient. Very hard to locate Power/USB port in dark/nights. Makes Lot of noise while accelerating and driving, even can't hear audio/music inside while accelerating. Also Rumbles while Accelerating. Poor Materials for some parts inside. Makes some odd noise when turning ON/OFF heater. Fuel Economy is below par. City-23 mpg and Highway-28mpg. Average 25mpg. Media Controls on Steering are not Convenient. Finger Straining. Backup Camera won't come up immediately when reversing. sometimes have to stop and start the car to get backup camera ON.

Purchased at wife's request. She is 5 feet tall and weighs 98 lbs. Loves that she can sit high enough to see all around. Loves the color and interior. Very comfortable for a small vehicle. Her previous car (and now my car) an Infiniti G37. She prefers the Rogue! 3/16/2017 update . . . . Still a great solid little SUV. No problems experienced. MPG remains steady. Highly recommend. 9/16/2017 update . . . . All systems go. Still a great value. Mileage has actually improved to about 31MPG. If you are looking for a solid little SUV, the Rogue fills the bill. Wife Loves, Loves this car. 3/18/19 update . . . . Still driving this top notch SUV. Mileage now 19, 228. Wife's car and now retired so it does not get driven as often. The only change I would note is the quality of the seat fabric. This model has a light tan fabric interior. A couple of stains were tough to remove and the fabric shows some deterioration. 3/18/2020 . . . . . very few miles over the past year. Can't get her to part with it. Loves the car as it fits her 5 foot, 100 lb. frame. I rarely drive it. As a 6 foot, 200 lb. person I am not as comfortable. I drive a 2017 Ford F150. The window noise is a bit more in the Rogue.

I did porches this SUV two weeks ago and was at the service twice with same problem-vibration of the vehicle on speed 55 mph and up. Vibration of the engine and all vehicle under red light or any stops with gear on. The service department perform wheel balance and alignment -no change, they offer me to drive any other same stile of the vehicle and what is surprise- SAME problem. Manager told me that is the way how this vehicles perform and live with it. I did made a bid mistake to porches it-JUNK and this is MY.
