The BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!!!!!
This is an amazing vehicle, we shopped around via Edmunds, narrowed it down to 3 dealers. We went to 2 dealerships, one had a great vehicle but a lot of nicks and indentations, so happy we went during the day, because the salesman overlooked them all and seemed surprised by my pointing these damages out.....moved right along to the next dealer with the 2nd best lowest mileage and made the purchase. We love it!!! My Husband is the absolute best, happy wife, happy life!!! I’ll recommend Edmunds to everyone! This is a great service & all the dealers are very responsive!

CVT transmission issues- Vibration
I just bought a 2016 Rogue SL has all the upgrades and looks great. Never noticed any issues on my test drive, but, after several days of driving I noticed the vibration that seems to be coming from the engine area and also effecting the steering wheel as well. The vibration happens mostly in idle and driving 30-40 mile an hour. The feeling I get is of nausea and lighthead when I exit the car. My husband isn’t effected by this vibration so I had to do some research to show that I’m not loosing my mind. I will be calling the Nissan dealer next week and hear what they have to say.

Nissan ought to be ashamed!
My stepson purchased a new 2016 Nissan Rogue in 2016 - it is now 1 month after they made their last payment on the car - then riding down the turnpike to see his wife's family for Xmas the car died...turns out to be the transmission....to repair it will be $5,000 and since it is a little over 100,000 miles on the odometer it is not under - what we found out recently is a class action suite against Nissan...no transmission on a modern car should fail within 5 years of ownership.
Bad
Purchased the car with 37000 miles and now has 52000 miles. Since then have had to replace catalytic converters, upper and lower control arms, front struts, tire rods, and brakes. The car still drives horribly, the A Pillar has almost caused multiple accidents, it takes bumps terribly and bounces multiple times after one depending on the severity. Every time you start the car it sounds like someone’s shaking a bag of bolts for a couple seconds. Recently had tires rotated and the guy told me tire rods are bad and need to be replaced again. Transmission is clunky and feels horrible. This car is a piece of garbage and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you got it for free.

Rogueish quality review
This car is packed with new concepts in safety , performance, and hospitality details. They are hard to get used to, and with some lifestyles, maybe not required. If you like "simple", consider lesser equipped vehicles and save money.

Mouse in new rogue 2016
i had the car 6 weeks...It had 357 miles on it.....They say a mouse nest is in the blower...how....as it sat waiting to be bought....They told me the same thing when I bought a new sentra in 2010....This is a common problem with nissan....stop selling cars that have sat around and not clean the blowers....bs....#designflaw

After 1000 miles I ALMOST wanted to buy one
I rented a 2016 Rogue for a week and after 1000 miles I almost wanted to get one... almost. It's the best handling suv/crossover I've driven. It truly felt like a sport sedan. I have never been a fan of Nissan's CVT but on this vehicle it's fantastic; though the car itself feels under-powered with the 4-cylinder under hard acceleration, it is on par with its competitors. The power you give up for fuel mileage is absolutely worth it. I drove all over southern California from LA traffic to the mountains of Yosemite, and averaged just over 30 mpg. This is AMAZING for a 'spirited' driver like myself. I even managed 40 mpg on a 150 mile stretch driving conservatively. The handling and fuel mileage were absolutely enough to consider buying this car. The only major issue was how uncomfortable the seats were. Very stiff and not supportive (no lumbar adjustment!?), which led to back pain flaring up. When I sat in my own car the day after returning from my trip it was the biggest relief. Fantastic value especially if you find a low mileage used one, but not for me.
