Rust Bucket
We really wanted to love this vehicle, but with the rust issues that include exhaust, lines and frame we can’t. We purchased our 2018 Murano S with 50 miles on October 28, 2018. I happen to notice rust on the tailpipes and looked under the vehicle. To my horror, the whole exhaust was rusted and parts of it had flaky rust as if the rust had been there for a long time. I also noticed the parking brake connections, parts of the frame and suspension rusted. The vehicle only had 3000 miles on it and two months old. We took it back to the dealer and explained to us they had never seen anything like it. They received approval from Nissan to replace the exhaust system and the parking brake cable, but told us the other rust was “normal”. We have gotten no where with Nissan Customer Care (Nissan1). I would not buy a Nissan Murano.

When the transport truck tied the suv down for the trip to the dealer he destroyed the front bumper where it meets the fender. 1200.00 dollars damage. This damage could not be seen when I picked up the suv. Once I drove 50 miles the fender separated from the bumper. Contacted nissan and they told me too bad so sad, not their problem and offered no help. Last nissan I will buy!!! I found that the blind side warning are useless. I'm Not looking at the door frame when I want to make a lane change I'm Looking at the door mirror to see if there is car coming. {yellow light turns on inside door frame when there is a car in my blind side not the outside door mirror} Also from Oct. to april the sun blocks out the yellow light so a person cannot see if it's on. When traveling west the right light cannot be seen and traveling east the drivers door light cannot be seen. DUH!!!! my murano has turned into a rattle trap. I took it to Hill nissan in winter haven, fl and told about the rattle and also took a ride with them to explain it. The next day I came to pick it up and the service person told me it was the license plate on the rear of the auto. when I 1st took it in I explain that I had remove the plate earlier before I brought it in and the rattle was still there. They told me the rattle was gone after placing a piece of foam behind the plate and the rattle was gone. So now I have car with 37000 miles that rattles and sounds like a piece of junk.

Ultra Spacious, Quiet Cabin, Super Sleek
I'm in love with my used Nissan Murano. I previously owned a 2015 Mazda CX-5 but the Murano is levels above it. I'm so glad I upgraded. Unlike the CX-5, road noise is non-existent. I can actually talk on the car's bluetooth speaker without having to scream in order to be heard. The back seat is so spacious and cargo space is phenomenal. I recently transported a full size elliptical in my Murano. I didn't think it would fit but was pleasantly surprised that we were able to wiggle it in there with a little room to spare. The Murano has such a unique look and doesn't feel like a soccer mom van. Simple put I love everything about this car. Excellent job Nissan!

Luxury SUV
visibility/blindspot issues due to design back rear both sides but. Cameras assist with that as well as blinking light on inside on cars coming up on sides. Ergonomic seats and lots of extras on the Platinum. Great traveling car. Plush seats. Roomy front and back seats. Easy auto seat take down, great stereo sound, ergonomic auto seat features.

Another Nissan
The most comfortable car I have ever driven. No issues in the snow. Awesome gas mileage. I would like it to be a little faster and just a little more room under the hatch.

It can be desirable
Have owned for 18 months. Has 42k miles, bought with 18k showing. Platinum edition 6 cylinder Front wheel drive REVIEW: For the most part of ownership this has been a very comfortable classy vehicle. One month after owning it the technology that does the phone and Bluetooth needed to be replaced. But we believe that problem existed when we bought the car we never had tested it when we bought the car. Have not had trouble with it since they replaced the electronics of the microphone for the Bluetooth. The pick up for the voice when you’re on Bluetooth is aimed at the driver side so if a passenger or someone in the back is trying to talk while you are talking to someone on Bluetooth then the person you are talking to won’t really be able to hear the other person very well if at all. It works but it works sort of weekly. The there are many things to like about the Marano. I have the platinum version it has many options on it of which none I chose they were already on the car when we bought it. The only thing it doesn’t have which I did want is all wheel drive. Have not had problems with the front wheel drive. The ride itself is very comfortable the interior is easy to adapt to. The navigation screen can be idiomatic. One thing I don’t like about it is you cannot do any navigation settings while the car is moving. You have to come to a complete stop and then you can begin to adjust for navigation and also to hook up your android or Apple. I must say Apple works a little better than the android but both suffer a little bit from being top-notch. Gas mileage in the city and on the road is respectable especially for a vehicle of the size . I’d definitely recommend the six cylinder over the four. I don’t think any big SUV or even medium size SUV should have a four-cylinder in it. Many reviewers speak so highly of the Marano when they have only owned it for a month or maybe two after buying it new. In general I’d give it four stars maybe 4 1/2 stars and we bought it used and have had good service for it since then. There have been many reports about CV transmission issues in all Nissans including the Marano in its various iterations. However Service manager at one of the main local dealerships said the Marano with the six cylinder has had far fewer complaints. But as is with those CV transmissions most of the problems if they have it will occur around 80 to 120,000 miles. I am skeptical of the transmission and may sell the car when I get 60 or 70,000. I’ve always been a Lexus fan but must say this Murano is equivalent in many ways.
My favorite
Bought it new....7 years & 64,000 miles....NOTHING has broken. No repairs of any kind, just routine maintenance by the book. New battery, new wipers, new tires....total cost of other repairs is $0.00. This has by far been the most reliable car I have ever owned. I love it !!!

Where did they go?!!! D-1 and D-2
I recently bought a used 2018 Murano. I brought it home only to realize something I had noticed about it was catching my eye,... Why doesn't the transmission (the shifter in the console) have the standard "D1" and "D2" under the "P" (for parking?
Beautiful automobile, with one bad flaw...
Do I really have to own one to write a review? I don't, but I DO have something to say. Yes, I have noticed a few of these around, and I AM attracted to these cars. They are uniquely good looking. They have the individualistic looks that I like (I used to own early Saabs). one of my neighbors has a white one, which looks good with the black trim - very nice graphics. And I like the fact that it is a 5-door, i.e. what we used to call a wagon, with the practicality of a wagon. The problem is... I like to drive, and for me, fully 1/2 of all the pleasure that comes from driving is derived from... shifting for myself. I HATE automatics, the way a skilled photographer, who gets satisfaction from being able to squeeze excellence from his fully manual camera must hate point and shoots. Yes, that modern camera takes good photographs most of the time, but where is the satisfaction in just aiming the camera and pushing a button? Likewise for automobiles. I HATE the fact that automobiles have been dumbed down so far that it requires no effort or skill whatsoever (practically) to drive one! I get bored driving an automatic in less than a minute! I LOVE the sense of being a PART of the machine, not just a passenger! I LOVE controlling the gears AND the engine, to propel my machine smartly down the road! Denying me a well-engineered manual transmissions denies me fully 1/2 of all the joy of driving! I have been looking forward to this moment, i.e. that I can afford to buy what I really want, only to have the industry stop making it! In the name of making cars easier for lazy, unskilled people to drive... So, therefore, although I do in fact like the appearence and function of this Murano very much, and despite the fact that I have reached a stage in my life when I can afford virtually any car I like, I will NOT be buying one. I will stay with the older cars that STILL offer me a REAL driving experience.

bought a 2020 with the features I needed. very h.
I like the Murano but there are a some features missing that I regret, especially the motorized tilt and telescope feature on the steering wheel. This is a big lose to an older customer. I can easily adjust with the manuel lever but the missing component is the memory that retracted and titled up so that I could leave and enter the driver seat unimpeded. I traded in an 8 year old Murano that was reliable and never had a problem...probably should have kept it! UPDATE: bought a newer model, exactly like last one but with added features I wanted.

Excellent value
This is my third Nissan Murano and next year I will be looking at my fourth. The value for the money is outstanding. The vehicle ride is excellent, I have never experienced the squeeks, rattles and unsettling noises I have had in other vehicles. The craftsmanship and fit are extremely good. The standard features are more than adequate with very little need for extras. I lease every three years, and have had no expenses other than fuel, as oil change, tire rotation and NC State inspection are included in my lease package.
