Used 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 2dr Coupe (2.5L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
213k and still going strong
I bought this car used seven years ago with 60 K, and now it has 205 K. It has been one of the most trouble free cars I’ve ever owned. The only issue was The exhaust manifold cracked twice, it was a factory defect which Nissan replaced for free. Most of my miles were highway, which is much easier on the car than city miles in my opinion. I keep up on maintenance and fluid changes which Definitely helps the longevity of any car. I’ve had to replace some items but nothing outside of normal wear parts like struts and wheel bearings. I’d like to get to 250 K before retiring my Altima. 12/1/2021 update: had to replace the valve cover but otherwise still running great.

Altima Coupe, a good choice
The ride is very quiet and comfortable but I'm still getting used to the CVT transmission. I previously owned a 4 cyl. Honda Accord (manual transmission) which had more low end power. Vision is somewhat compromised by the coupe's design. Mirror adjustment is thus important.

Runs Like a Champ at 217K Miles
I bought the 2.5S coupe new in July of 2010. Regular oil changes, change the spark plugs with OEM every 100K. Just kept an eye on the maintenance schedule included in the owners' manual and have been pretty good with scheduled maintenance. The car just turned 217K miles and it runs almost as new. It has the feel of a heavy, solidly make car. It used to be silent at idle, it was hard to tell the car was running. Now you know it's running, but it's not loud by any means. A little window rattle from time to time on the highway now that she's older, but nothing big. I had a bracket that holds a belt go. That's been the only problem in 10 years. Smooth acceleration, feels like more HP than it is. I don't understand the people who complain about the CVT transmission, I guess it's a matter of opinion but I love the smoothness of it. Handles great, does fine in snow. Invested in Michelins when it was time for new tires, the Premier A/S is the best tire for this car. One of my favorite things is the insane cruising range. I average right around 30 MPG overall and easily get over 500 miles per full tank of gas. I do a lot of highway miles and don't beat on it. Very happy with this purchase.

My first coupe
Leasing one. Am 6' tall, tall in the body and fit well. Opted for the convenience package and power seat adjustment makes this possible. Drove one w/o power seat and seemed tight on headroom, and no go at all on the sunroof model. Mine is Crimson Black/Black cloth. Would have liked Black/Blonde, if offered.
My 2nd Altima
This is my 2nd Altima. Just traded my 2007 in for the 2010. I guess my only complaint so far is the lack of nav and the position of the chargers. I drive over a 100 miles a day in my commute, the gas mileage is excellent, and the ride is very comfortable. From previous experience, I know if I keep up on my regular maintenance, this car will last well over 100,000 miles. Looking forward to seeing what Nissan does for year 2014, IF I decide to trade!
