Very happy with this car - coming from Acura MDX
I was happy with my MDX but I must say that this Outlander actually rides smoother and is immensely more efficient. It's a simple vehicle in terms of gadgets and features but everything it does it does pretty well. Overall very happy with this SUV
Never Buy This Vehicle
I bought the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Model 2019 in the month of December 2019 from the dealer " Surrey Mitsubishi". It has some manufacturing defects. I took the vehicle twice to the said dealership but they are not able to fix it. Now the vehicle is not charging and I am not able to use it's PHEV feature. In-spite of regular complaints to the dealership and the manufacturer they failed to provide any satisfactory response or solutions to the problem. I am feeling being cheated.

My first PHEV, My 2nd Mitubusi Outlander.
4 months in I have hit 3800 miles. I've only put gas in 5 times. I am averaging 84 mpg with 84% EV driving. I have a 220 Volt 32 Amp charger in my garage. It takes 3.5 hours for a full charge. My largest customer has charging stations so I charge at their office in 2 hours. I have a trailer I tow from time to time that weighs 1100 lbs. When on the highway my vehicle while towing runs strictly on gas. It only gets around 26 mph while towing. Traveling its great, I can go the same distance on 11 gallons of gas that I did with my Outlander GT 6 cylinder. With gas prices souring, I am happy. Last year I spent $3650.00 on gas. This year is estimated to be about $950.00. So here I am 11/26/2022 and not pleased with the battery of this vehicle. It went from around 22 miles to a charge down to about 18 since I purchased it. I complained to the dealer by they said nothing was wrong. The car engine runs when its drops below 50 degrees until it heats up, and then finaly turns off. This burns gas and you cannot push the EV button, it says not available. They car has been running well, and still gets good gas mileage while on the engine. The battery is the issue and not being able to put the SUV into EV mode when its cold out.

2 year ownership impressions
There are quirks and limitations, for certain, but what you get for the money, especially with tax cred and potential State rebate, you can't beat it. I'm like the car, and even though it has its shortcomings, it's a cool car for the money.

Best Value
I typically go anywhere between 500 to 700 miles on 9 to 10 gallons of gas. That is with a combination of charging several times a week. It’s comfortable, great visibility, decent interior although hardly a luxury car. For the money this is a hard proposition to beat
