2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Consumer Reviews

Love my 2023 eclipse cross SEL Touring
obsessed. The bad reviews, people don’t know what they are talking about. I’m not a race car driver so I don’t need the car to handle like one when I’m driving my kid to practice and to Kroger. This is such a comfortable ride and looks absolutely stunning. I’m a fan of different vehicles and I don’t see many of these on the road. I actually chose to stay with Mitsubishi because of their safety and reliability. I previously had an outlander sport. The outlanders are gorgeous, I just don’t need that much space. The interior on the SEL is beautiful. Heated steering wheel, heated front and back seats. Most definitely luxury without premium luxury car price. I also love that AWC is now standard. Everyone in Ohio has the same cars and this stands out. Don’t sleep on Mitsubishi and do your homework. They are an extremely safe and reliable brand and they are making some beautiful products. In my opinion if you can upgrade to SEL it’s every bit worth it. The dual sunroof and moonroof is also such a great addition. Go see one in person and take it for a drive, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice little SUV - Depends on your own criteria
10 000km later UPDATE Power barely sufficient. Very quiet ride. Fuel consumption on highway not so bad (32,6 mi./gal with Ecomode on). Excellent traction system (S-AWD, best on the market with Subaru). Interior ok, not more. Very uncomfortable seats. To narrow with unajustable lumbar support. Handling so so and quickly oversteer (from a former Volkswagen driver...). Powerful fog lights. CVT transmission is...well, you dont want to know. As I said, it depends on what you are focusing on when buying a car. For my own part,I like the look and the S-AWD, one of the best on the market if not the best. Otherwise, overall comfort and power are much perfectible and unfortunately, I would not buy again...

Great Car! Under rated by everyone!
I have a 22 EC I believe it’s an SE. regardless I’m not sure what’s up with the negative comments from Edmunds. Weird I’ve been driving since 91 and have had quite a few vehicles in my day. This is my favourite. The handling is actually quite good and if you actually know how ti use the gear paddles on the steering wheel you can get more punch out of the engine when needed. I’ve had zero body roll and the mileage is great for an SUV. It has a lot of tech that’s easy to use. Question: do we actually need all these things? No. We like them but they’re not essential. My two biggest issues is the lack of wireless charging and ventilated back seats. It’s not exactly a small car so I think that’s something that needs addressing. My third issue is the placement of the heater and air conditioning. It’s out if reach for the driver and distracting to use. If it were higher in the stack it would make much better sense. I’m not sure why there’s so much love Hyundai and Kona. Research the recalls on these cars. Countless warranty issues and engine fires galore. Mitsubishi has a much better warranty and they are built like tanks.

Gotta love it!
Perfect stylish crossover. Great interior layout with leather on my sel. Love the ride and exterior lines. One classy car with generous back seat room. Averaging 30mph and peppier than my last equinox. Love it!

rinky dink
Cannot open the trunk when car is parked but still running. Door for gas latch is inside car poorly constructed. Cannot turn off car and leave radio on. Seat belt too is tight. Speedometer is not digital. Control of dashboard is minimal. Electrical seems to glich often. Have to have it serviced already this is a 2022!

Fragile car
In under 1 year of ownership, the car started showing issues with the FCM radar. The dashboard keeps displaying that it is temporarily disabled. These types of issues should be already covered by the 10 year warranty, but the mechanic insists that the damage is external when in fact the bumper is intact. Either this car is poorly built or the company is not willing to honor the warranty.

NOT the car for anyone taller/bigger than size S!!
I bought a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross LE AWD and am beyond disappointed. Please beware of what you're buying!!! Pretty car but made of cheap materials - overall not worth it. Externally the car looks nice but inside it is extremely uncomfortable to drive in. The seats WILL hurt your back. I am three weeks into owning it and the plastic parts of the door handle are now coming off - service center is not even sure if it's covered under warranty. Car is good if you're looking for something to fill your driveway, but I honestly canNOT recommend this vehicle to anyone with kids OR looking for car rides longer than 20 mins. I am tall, wear size L and this car is not made for people my size. Overall very disappointed because I was excited to purchase this after reading all of the positive reviews, so please do your research and don't get scammed with this!

2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
I'm giving this vehicle a 1 star due to the technology. The camera is mediocre at best. The phone system is less far advanced than my 2015 Nissan Rogue. I was never told that in order to use the steering wheel functions you have to plug your phone in? As for the soundsystem, very disappointing.. tin sounding and not as enjoyable as my Nissan. It does however ride nice, looks beautiful with all the cool extras of duel sunroof, spoiler and body. I'd think twice if you think that for a 2022 it be more advanced because it defiantly behind in technology advancement.

Who approved this thing
Experiencing shifting delays, jumping, or grinding during acceleration, feeling the car shake at any speed, noticing a burning smell or whistling sounds coming from under the hood, along with an underpowered air conditioner that constantly clicks on and off, suggests that it might fail soon. Additionally, the back seats are too small, and overall, this vehicle seems to be poorly designed.
