This car handles well in the city. I love the interior as well as the exterior. It certainly is not a family car , but I didn't purchase it for a family. I bought it for me. And I love it. The only down side is gas mileage. I don't sit in the , so I can't complain about the leg room. I haven't had any service related problems at all. The add oil light came on once. I added the oil and kept driving. I'm totally sold on this car.

2010 still runs like new

I bought this car in 2011 with 7000 miles on it. It was a certified preowned vehicle paid like $40,000 for it. It has been sitting outside for the last 12 years not a single rust on the body or else although it had a rear Subchassis recall that the dealer will reimburse you if you ever had to fix it . The major issues I had was the brake line got rusted and I had to replace that and the subchassis the other stuff where some plastic gaskets on the back of the engine that caused oil leak issues of the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg to the place. I had the AC unit sensor goes bad that had to be replaced too, have a door lock actuators just sucks DIY Them is difficult due to the riveted back panels, these door actuator seems to be a problem in most of the Mercedes line. The car has now 72,000 miles on it. My commute is not that long so it doesn’t drive much I installed CarPlay / Android module that integrated with ngt 4.0 media system that gives it a 2023 to feel. All an all nice luxury SUV, with a very nice distinguished by the look, and feel Compared to the new boring trim lines they have now. The car is very nimble and feels rugged, heavy doors, well-built body that will last and resist all the weather conditions And humid summers and cold winters of Maryland. The maintenance of the dealership is pricey, so you gotta be handy and be able to do basics maintenance yourself then you can save a lot of money on basic Maintenance. If you’re mechanically inclined, I can do brakes and rotors it’s even better. Safety features it lives up to the Mercedes brand and he will feel safe driving this vehicle. Fuel consumption is not terrible but not the best either so it’s a V-6 after all and we’ll get you around 23 miles per gallon highway and around 18 mpg in the city

brake issue

Purchased 20l0 GLK on 02/l4/09. Brakes were soft and spongy. In May 2009, daughter drove the car and commented on the brakes not stopping when pressed immediately. Took car through a car wash and on the way home, brakes failed at a traffic light and I hit a car on the left side bumper and taillight. I have been driving 55 years and have never had an accident. Mercedes Benz of Knoxville said they knew of no brake problems and would have Mercedes USA look into the matter. It took 40 days to get my car repaired and cost me $900 additional in rental car expenses. Told Mercedes of Knoxville that I liked the car, but was afraid to drive it. Said they would trade with me for $ll,000 more.

GLK Transmission Problem

I have a 2010 Mercedes GLK with 17,000 miles. I just had to get the transmission replaced. At first they told me it was the wheel bearings. Then the next day they called me and said it was not the wheel bearings but instead they needed to replace the transmission. I went online and saw other owners with the same problem! I was thinking about buying the car after my lease is up but I just changed my mind. Not sure what other problems are lurking.

2010 GLK350

Great car mechanically however, if you are over 5'8" tall and weigh more than 180 pounds, not the car for you! After 13500 miles, the drivers side door rubber and interior molding is completely worn out from entrance and exit "rubbing"!! Poor quality materials as far as I am concerned. When taken and shown to the dealer he indicated this wear was not covered by warranty. Would expect this after 40 - 50 thousand miles but not from a new car, especially a mercedes. Stay aware if your an average person!!
