After months of research and test drives I choose the GLC. Cars I considered were the Volvo XC60 ( mediocre ride and driving experience), Lexus RX350 (expense packages to get the equipment you want and boring to drive), Lexus NX (nothing more than an expense Toyota RAV4), Audi Q5 ( lack of safety equipment unless you spend over $55,000). The GLC has a very good ride, excellent handling, very comfortable and a quality build. I don’t understand why people complain about how hard it is to use the technology. I purchased my GLC with Command and the Premium Driver Assistance packages and find it very logical and easy to use. Just spend a little bit of time reading the owners manual and you will not have any issues. Definately the easiest infotainment systems of the 4 competitors I listed above. Fuel Mileage has averaged over 25 MPG which I find very acceptable. Very happy with my GLC purchase. Now with 19655 miles on the odometer I have had only one warrantee trip to the dealer. Seems a sensor in the gas pedal assemble that is part of the optional Driver Assistance package went bad. The part was back ordered for 5 days but the dealer gave me a brand new loaner while they had the car in the shop. All is well now. We also just took an 800 mile trip in one day (14 hours of driving) and the car remained comfortable the entire trip. The Premium Driver Assistance packages took the stress out of driving in traffic and the Attention Alert even told me when to take a break. Mileage on this trip averaged 29.7 MPG with lots of luggage. Update…after 6 years of ownership and 55000 miles I traded the car in. I never had any issues and and only the only expense beside routine maintenance was a set of tires.

Coming from an Audi SQ5, this is the raucous relative. Don’t get me wrong, this is a fantastic little SUV and I’m more than happy I made the switch. The performance is outstanding and the build quality both inside and outside is impeccable. Can’t speak to the reliability as of yet as I’m only at 1500 miles but so far so good. Oh, and that engine note singing in the background is glorious. In Sport+ mode it feels like riding a bull but it’s a blast! This vehicle checks all the boxes, particularly “just plain fun to drive every single time”.

You're probably not looking at AMG if you are frugal on price. So, let's get that out of the way now. If you want a solid SUV that has serious engine power for those times when you need it, top of the line tech features, and is easy on the eye, and can be used as a daily driver, buy or lease this car - you wont be disappointed. Forget the crap about it being a "baby-AMG" - this car has a ton of power - in fact, probably too much for most roads in the US. So, with great power comes great responsibility - own up to the fact you just want a serious little SUV to get the job done, and move on - get the AMG GLC 43 - it does not disappoint. Just stay in warranty and you're good for many years.

I have now driven the vehicle for about 18 months. Overall, I really like this SUV. The ride is smooth, quiet and comfortable. The excelleration is great as is the handling. I have two main problems. First, the technology is difficult to navigate and should be a lot simplier go use. For example, I think that the remote start is ridiculous. Instead of making it simply by just pushing a button like other much less expensive vehicles, you have to go to this long convoluted process that takes much too long. In fact, I've had a separate remote starter installed because I got so annoyed. Second, my GLC does not have a spare tire. The factory tires can drive flat for about 50 miles. But if you experience a flat on some of the nation's highways, you may much more than 50 miles from a dealer. This can, and has ruined 2 days of a trip for me. It seems that for the cost of this vehicle a spare should be provided.

Bought this car five months ago. Tried to start it one morning it was totally dead. Mercedes’s said it was a bad battery they put in a new one and I drove it home. Next morning totally dead again. Mercedes told me I must be leaving the lights on. Now it’s been in the shop for almost a month now and they have no idea what’s wrong. They put in a new computer and when they did that it blew up the fuse box so they ordered a new fuse box and now they said there is something wrong with the power steering. Another crazy thing is that they gave me a loaner glc and there is something wrong with this one too. It makes a very Loud engine noise sounds like one of the fans. Sounds like a space ship taking off.
