Outrageous maintenance costs
My 2007 Mercedes Benz C280 4matic was the worst financial decision I have ever made and will never own another. The car has just under a100,000 miles and I've put over $5,000 in repairs. A few days ago the check engine light came on so once again back to the dealership. The called with a repair estimate for $6,000. Really? I declined the repairs and will be buying a new car today. I doubt if I will get much for trade in given the repair expenses. So it's been an expensive car to own and no resale value. And it didn't even reach 100,000 miles

Really safe and solidly built. Leased 15000 mile contract. Mileage acceptable, sporty and classy compact. Easy to park. Great highway performance. Enjoy driving it.

Beautifully finished sport sedan
Looked at the BMW 330 and Volvo S60R. Both of these vehicles performed better than the Mercedes in the city, but once you hit the interstate, the Mercedes shines. As far as looks and finish, the Mercedes was the clear winner in my eyes. The thing that put me over the top in favor of the Mercedes is its ability to run on domestic fuel that runs cleaner. That being E85. Also, the performance out of the E85 is better. The gas mileage drops on the highway from 29 to 25 but the cost difference at the pump covers that difference.
Good, happy, could always be better.
I purchased a preowned c230 last summer. It was low miles and had only 16k on it. I drove all the other cars in the class, BMW 3 series, Lexus IS, and Infinity Gs, and A4. MB is the best balance of performance and luxury. It doesn't handle like a 330, and leather isn't as nice as an IS, but I love this car and love MB (have since purchased an SLK). It is very fun to drive, not like a 335 manual, but it looks great, corners well and in comfort mode get decent gas mileage. I did have to fuel pump replaced under warranty at 22K, didn't like that too much, as I felt betrayed by the car I love, but it happens. If I had to purchase again, I would purchase the same car in red rather than silver.
Love this car
I love driving this car. I have black on black and it is beautiful. Very smooth drive. I have another car and never want to drive it any more. The dealership told me not to press it until it goes over 1000 miles but yesterday I couldn't resist. You could never tell I was over 90. Could be a bad thing. Everyone loves the look of the car. I am short but I could see how someone taller would like more leg room.
