The C Class zooms ahead of the rest

The C230 Sports Sedan that I own is an amazing vehicle for its price. In its class, nothing compares overall. Mercedes introduced a new nano-technicological paint which virtually eliminates scratching, and looks great as the car ages. Even chipped paint is a rare sight. The exterior of this car is really a nice sight. 17 inch alloy wheels, an AMG ground effects package, with chrome exaust tips, and even a supercharger. makes this car, second to none.

Mercedes Benz advertises and sells this as a sports sedan (C320WZ), not even close, I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. The transmission and build quailty are awful at best. For a European sports sedan, it's the wrost I have ever owned. Will never buy another Mercedes Benz product. Automatic transmission is absolutely the worst in the industry, and downshifts whenever it wants!

This car is awesome. Prior to this MB I had a Passat V6 . Not only is this car nicer on the outside, but moves faster and smoother than the Passat. The exterior is so AMG-like! I love it. Nice features and comfortable seats. Perfect car for a young girl!

A relative bought a C32 three years ago and I've been lusting after a similar car since. Drove the GTO - performance but not enough luxury. Drove the Acura RL - luxury but not enough performance. The C55 is a perfect blend. Needed a sedan to fit the grandkids. Needed an automatic to satisfy the wife. Did I compromise? Not in my book. I have a huge grin on my face every time I get in the C55 and fire up that big v8!

Great car. Best 4 cyl ever made. You would never know its a 4 cyl. Even on the hwy at 90 mph, there is little engine noise. Exterior, the car turns heads. Stereo sounds great. Get the upgrade to the 300+ watt. Its worth it. 10 speakers makes all the difference.

I'm only 2 months into owning my C230, but already it feels like a keeper. What I like mostly is that it is quite heavy and solid for its size. No rattles. Stock wheels are beautiful. Suspension is firm but not jarring, considering the 45 profile tires. Engine has lots of power, yet I'm getting 26mpg in town. Panorama roof is great. Choose your color carefully because the image of the care changes.

I have had the C230K since 10/2004 and there have been problems non stop. Brakes squealing all the time, replaced twice. There is very ittle gas pedal room. Handles not even close to an Audi or BMW. Horrible traction in a little snow or rain. Loud engine noise. the only things great about this car are the gas mileage and style. Customer service is very poor and watch out for the salesmen on telling you that this car is fully covered. That standard option end in 2004. Now you have to pay for this bumper to bumper option. Things changed for the worse after the merger with Chrysler. Bottom line, last MB I will ever recommend or buy.

Buy Stock in a Tire Company

My 2005 MB c230 Kompressor so far has been a pretty big disappointment. It only has 16K on it and I've already had to buy three (3) sets of tires. It chews them up like cheap candy. The dealer has done 2 alignments already and multiple tire balances. The road noise is horrific after only a few thousand miles on each new set. The dealer has NOT been helpful. I try to drive as conservatively as possible but it still chews the tires up. I'm considering going back to a BMW. The MB is a nice car but I can't afford to keep buying tires like this. My dealer has been ZERO help. MB has not returned my calls or letters. Guess its time for an attorney. Buyer Beware.

The classy/sporty combination this car boasts is unequalled in today's market. She handles remarkably well at any speed and is quite responsive when asked to politely grace the left lane. I can't keep from peeking back at the sporty, low-profile appeal she exudes inside and out. Soft leather, multiple steering wheel controls, and premium sound will keep this Benz in my garage for a long time. This entire purchase, from the test drive to the daily drive home from work has been the real deal!

I have owned BMW's before and was just ready to buy another when a friend suggested I check out the C230 Compressor.. Boy am I sure glad I did! Beautiful styling, luxury interior, smooth ride and with the turbo compressor engine, I have more horsepower than a BMW325- but with 33mpgs on the highway and 25 mpgs in the city! The best of all worlds!

It has the crisp, tight, precise driving that one can only enjoy from a Mercedes Benz. I have owned many bigger and more powerful Mercedes, yet the C230 Kompressor is an absolute pleasure to drive. It's quick, responsive, and still gives the driver the confidence of a well built, secure vehicle.

I can't complain much about the performance of this entry-level-luxury Benz. Though it has a weak V6(168hp), it's still FUN to drive. At 3,070 miles today, I'm taking my car to the dealer because of the SRS MULFUNCTION and a stereo system sound problem - sound was distorted last week, both radio & CD. Yesterday, there was no sound coming out at all -and i got the "entertainment package". But it's the SRS problem I'm worried about. It's a safety issue, and I still have to drive all the way to the dealer (without aibags and safety measure devices)

I looked at the BMW 325,Acura TL and Volvo S60 2.4T/R models before choosing the Mercedes. I've never regretted it. I've been driving quite a bit in the past month and it is so fun to drive and comfortable on the driver. I used to own a BMW but I'm not sure if I'll go back. I'm waiting to see if the Mercedes has the long term quality that I would expect.

I bought this car because it was the only stick shift they had on the lot. I have not been disappointed. The ride is excellent, and it is simply fun to drive. It gets incredible gas mileage (compared to the Trailblazer I traded). I am looking forward to purchasing one for my wife when it is time to trade her car.

The new 2005 MB C230 Sedan is not only fun and comfy to drive but also delivers nods and gazes of recognition and admiration. Hence it is not easy to summarize one's experience since the latter qualities are hard to measure and quantify. The sporty trim and structure makes the ride and handling a little more stiff and noisy, but one has to accept these because it is a SPORT sedan, not a regular sedan.

Sound system is absolutely NiteClub. Real head turner. No modifications eve needed. Go to you dealership and check it out yourself. You won`t regret

I use this car predominantly for my 20 mile per day commute to work. It is a pleasure to drive and has excellent fuel economy for its class. On weekends I've taken the family on longer trips - and even though its a small car everyone has been comfortable. I now have 5000 miles on the odometer and have had zero problems with this car.

I have had my C230 for a year now with no trouble. The performance has been enhanced by the addition of a K&N air filter. This simple install has given me a little more low end power and much better gas mileage. I am getting 32 MPG very easily. For the money I do not know how you could do much better. Had an Audi A4 3.0Q and like the Benz much better.

This was a perfect fit for me. My kids are grown and have cars of there own so it was my turn for the car of my dreams. I could have spent a lot more but thought why bother? It is equipped with everything I need for a lot less money . If you are driving people around all the time the pricier car will might suit your needs but can't really see it for a 50's woman that just likes to travel alone! Germany makes the best cars in the world. Glad I own one !

The C230 replaced a 2002 launch edition MINI cooper. The C230 is a much different car, more comfort, no where near the razor edge handling of the MINI. MINI had reliability problems from day 1. Service could never fix the issues. MB dealer treated the customer fairly with respect, unlike MINI service. Leagues more power than MINI, darn near the same mileage.

This is the best car I have ever had. I love getting into it and driving it every day. This is my second one. I bought the first one two months before, but some one rear ended me on the freeway and smashed my car into the car in front of me. My first one was totalled, but I was not hurt. I replaced it with the exact same model and even chose the same color, Iridium silver. I am sure this wonderful car saved my life in that accident. We have 3 Mercedes C-230 coupes in our family. I wish Mercedes would continue making this wonderful car forever.

The Kompressor model will shave 10 years off your age the moment you hit the gas pedal. Warning: If you test drive it - you'll buy it! This sporty model is not your grandma's car. Quick out of the gate and responsive to corners. If you like getting horizontal through turns -this car is not for you. The ride is oh so smooth-no gritty feel of the road as with the BMW. This is a well thought out car in terms of storage. Ample glove compartment even with a 6 CD changer and a large truck with 2 built in side pockets. The hands free Harmon Kardon stereo system and built-in phone are accessable without thought.

Take the time to test drive one of these if you have not already. Don't be mislead by reading the reviews for the coupe variant of the C-Class; that coupe was an abortion of a vehicle and should've never been built. I know because I traded one in for this sedan. I decided to give MB one more shot and I'm glad that I did. The C- Class sport sedan is a stunning machine. The interior is finely crafted; the engine is smooth & responsive despite being supercharged. Road noise is very low, and if you get the entertainment package, prepared to be wowed by the audio. If you can't stomach the '06 pricing, look for one of these '05 beauties on the pre-owned lot - you will not be disappointed.

The exterior is sophistocated, sporty, classy, and compact. The raised rear gives it a feeling of perpetural motion even when parked. My car is black, so the "shine" factor is ever present. The light bouncing off of it is a truly beautiful sight. Seats are firmer than I would like, but the front seats have sheep skin covers so that helps.

A very together car. Sharp looking, with a very silky smooth engine and transmission. Gobs of torque that comes on low in the power band. I thought I’d miss a clutch but now prefer the speedshift. Not as good as the Ferrari’s but better then Porsche. The C55 has a clean interior with great ergonomics. I tested the CTS-V, its cheap interior, confusing shifter, and wheel hop means it’s still a work in progress. I also tested the M3/M5.The M3 too small, becoming outdated. The M5(02-03)nice but a bit heavy in the handling, however nicer rear seating then the C55. All 3 Germans have great engines though. Tried the S4, not a fan of AWD and the styling is just ok. Interior is comparable to the C55.

This is my 2nd Mercedes C230 Kompressor and the '05 redesign is outstanding. I love the sporty aggressive stance it has. I recently had the misfortune of having a side impact collision with my car and I am so impressed with the stability of this car. Although the door was caved in on the passenger side, the air bags did not deploy thanks to the child safety component and the car really held its ground. I was shaken but unhurt. This was one of the main reasons I bought this car. It's economical to operate and it gives you the rock solid feel of a well built car while it still gives you ability to have fun. I traded an '04 BMW 330I for my MB and I don't regret it at all. Safety, comfort and style.

was moving to the inner city on the east coast and opted for a small car vs. a larger model. drove from west coast to the east and was a blast to drive cross country...very pleasntly surprised at ride comfort, car is basic in comparison to other MB models but so far had fulfilled all of my needs. probably will opt for the e series on next purchase, but this was not a bad selection at all.
