Bad Experience

Since you don't have the 2002 C230-K yet available for comment on your site, I felt impelled to share a few comments about mine. The car is very cute from the outside, and pretty comfy from the inside, however I have had to bring the vehicle to the dealership 5 times over the past year. The all glass sunroof squeaks all the time,no matter what temp outside. They just can't seem to get it right. The ball bearings had to be changed already and the front windshield leaked thru to the floor. The side mirror lights have blown out twice in one year.I am very disappointed with the car and would not consider purchasing another Mercedes.

Disappointing Car

This car is very fun to drive when it is working. We have almost 30 pages of service records in 2 1/2 years. We tried to get Mercedes to buy this car back, but no luck. Then the dealer offered us well below retail on a trade in. It has been in the shop 13 times--phone has never worked right, a/c broke twice, fuel gauge, windows, rear screen, etc. etc. Our dealer (Stead Walnut Creek) had treated us with contempt. We have been told by a Lemon Law attorney that they fight every single claim to trial, which is obviously worth the effort to a small minority of people. We are done with Mercedes forever!

This purchase was made after considering the BMW 325xi. BMW was overpriced versus what the new car quotes from the car reviews on the net, and a use C320 was lower priced with a more confortable ride for passengers. The trunk is also larger making it acceptable for short road trips.

Fun and exciting, but...

Great car. The driving experience is exactly what you think you are buying when you pay the mercedes premium-- impressive engineering, performance...oozing class. The rest of the experience (delivery experience, service, reliability) have all been dreadful. Frequent breakdowns and problems have been followed by frustrating and haphazard service calls. Buy the Lexus. You will be happier.

This is the first MB that I have bought and it has been one of the biggest mistakes in my life. First, the car has frequent break-ups, from the wipers, to the air conditioning, to the suspension, to light bulbs, to whatever you want to think about. Second, the service is a real NIGHTMARE in Garage Isla Verde in San Juan, Puerto Rico. My experience is that they are unreliable, arrogant, indifferent and totally foreign to customer service excellence. Service is as bad as the C320. At least they are consistent on that!!! NEVER fall into the same mistake of trading your BMW for a MB. You'll regret it for the rest of your life.
