My 1995 C Class 220 is white and looks almost brand new. The drive is quiet, solid in build/design. It hugs the road making me feel safe, no fear of tipping over. Two new batteries in eleven years, no fender benders--other drivers seem to show respect for this auto. Men often ask if I'm anxious to sell. Not yet. Would definitely buy again.

Its been more loyal than any dog- or human- I know. It has never let me down. It has protected me in several accidents. Extremely stable at high speeds. It is heavy and solid, very safe, yet small enough to manuver. There is no way to describe the way this car radiates quality. It feels like a bank vault. I said this car has never let me down, but I have had some small niggles: A/C has been a perpetual headache, and I just don't use it anymore, unless it is extremely hot out. The cruise control gave up, too. I point out though, this car has 166k miles on it.

The check engine light is always coming on. I've spent as much money on the car getting it up to par performance than I paid for it. Major issues to look out for: engine harness, air mass meter, oil leaks, valve jobs, suspension issues, etc. Here I thought that Mercedes would be reliable and low maintenance. Some things must be learned the hard way. It's a nice car to take on the highway, but it does lack acceleration at times. Requires premium fuel and synthetic oils are not gonna keep one from spending on its up keep. Overall, I'm sorry I was deceived by a supposedly top German auto maker. Sure, it's better than most American cars in its class, but it will be my last Mercedes-Benz!

I bought this from a perfectionist and it is like new. I am a retired master tech and minor repair issues to me may seem major to anyone who has to pay for the repairs. This is a sport edition that runs like an AMG, I took it out late one night and at 150 mph decided to back out. I took my hands off of the wheel and it was as if I was at 25 mph. I hit the brakes hard and the antilock worked great down to stop. The handling is spot on. In twenty years it is still a Mercedes, in the same class as a Vett, Porsche, etc. Interior is like new. No rattles squeaks etc. if you ride in it and close your eyes and you will know that you are in a new merc. I would buy an other in a heartbeat.

I purchased this C280 in Dec 2007 - had 91k- had it inspected and told in pristime condition- great acceleration- it still gets looks on the road- stereo and cd changer work great- drawback- if you are going to own a mercedes benz be prepared for expensive repairs- i had multiple things go out- keep in mind the items that went out were normal for its age- needed new tie rods and shocks, new power steering unit $973 , new rear rotors and pads, new coolant resevior and radiator hoses and 4 new tires. My mechanic had to get some parts from the dealership- very expensive- 4k for everything... will be along time before anything else goes- still love this expensive driving machine!
