First New Car
The 2004 Mazda Miata Mx-5 is my first car. The handeling is great, and while it's a little lacking in acceleration power, the car makes up for it because it's so fun to drive. I learned how to drive stick on it, and I had no problems. The clutch isn't tricky at all. (I had previously driven automatics.) The car turns heads. The exterior is amazing. The interior is a bit tight. The cup holders are in an awkward spot. You can hit them with your elbows. The sound system is great. You can hear everything clearly with the top down.
Great Value
Fun to drive on those windy mountain roads or along the cost. OK on the highway, top down or up. Doesn't get blown around by the big trucks. Real value at $19,000. Great 3rd car. High gas mileage. Great grins for the money.

Awesome
I got in a serious wreck that would have totaled any other car, and just barely hurt mine. The police couldn't believe it, and niether could the body shop. It has 4 wheel disk brakes andis reinforced in the back front and underneath.
Atlantic to Pacific
I am 65 wife is 64.We planned a trip to Las Vegas to watch our Son Thunderbird #1 fly his last show. Taking delivery on the Miata we drove to Daytona Beach, Fl. Put the rear wheels in the Atlantic and headed to Ca. where we put the front wheels in the Pacific. The Miata performed excellent at high altitude with steep climbs. On Interstate 40 we set the cruise on 80. We drove in hard rain and rough Interstate. No Leaks, No rattles. We logged 7000 miles in less than 4 weeks. Fuel Consumption 30+mpg. "We love this Car"
SLOJAZZ
"SLOJAZZ" is the custom license on my 2004 Miata, and like a a jazz composition it hums and purrs. This is my 3rd Miata and is the best of the three. While it is hardly comfortable on long trips, the performance and sheer fun of driving it make up for the highway noise and crampted cockpit. If you want a fun drive at a reasonable price you can't go long. The reliability of my previous two Miatas was excellent and I expect the same with this one.
