Best modern sports car
If you want a fun, reliable, inexpensive convertible sports car, you can't beat the Miata. I have 112000 trouble-free miles. The aftermarket for this car is huge and remarkably free of snake oil.
Fun
Double wishbones, 50/50 weight distribution, all wheel discs, rear drive, and manual steering. As close as you will get to a real race car for the money, and still drive home from the track.

My Miata is supercharged. This thing can keep up with a 350hp sti. Wheels break traction fast and long. She is fast.

Miata Miasmo!
A stock Miata is a thing of joy, an experience, a surprise among cars. For me, it's a replacement for motorcycles. A 1995 MX-5 is the cure for automotive blues. Fun to drive. That says it all!
Drove my little Miata for 26 years
My Miata was so good to me. She was built in 1995 but I bought her in 1998. Had under 100,000 milles. Had only age related repairs and had a tune up four years ago and she was so quiet running that sometimes thought she was stalled. And great pickup too. At a stop light a truck with HUGE tires that lifted him so high off the road pulled up behind me. I always leave lots of space between me and the car in front of me at a light. When light changed and I was slowly pulling away, the truck just shoved into and up onto the back of my beloved little Miata, totaling it. He said he didn't even see me! Now I have to find another Miata, but never will it be as good as my first one that I took such good care of.
