Bought it at 32000 miles, have doubled the miles since then and have put a total of $24.71 into the car (defective oil sending unit). Was rear-ended on the highway by a mid- size truck, car protected all occupants perfectly. Unbeleivable realiablilty.

I bought this car as my first when i turned 16 and it had 160000 miles. As soon as it left the dealership the check engine light came on and it turned out the gas gauge was stuck at 3/4 of a tank. After i figured out my cars little quirks, it was a very reliable car for me. I had to replace the radiator, front wheel bearings, and the brake pads and disks. my left turn signal was very touchy and liked to be on all the time. I drove it until i wrecked it in january at exactly 200000 miles

Mine is L version which I bought with 8000 miles in '97 and it currently has 190,000 miles. The car is very reliable and still my daily driver (13 years!). Only performed scheduled maintenance. The paint faded and the driver's leather seat ripped but other than that it runs really well. Even the A/C is still cold.

I bought this car December of 2001 for $7000. I have had it for 1 year now, and NO PROBLEMS. I would like 500hp in the car and I wold like a Bose 600W system, and a DVD player, and Leather better than a Bentley but Hey I'm just spending $7,000. For the money this is the best car out thier. No questions asked.

Excellent car overall. Had very little maintenance issues but the little ones I did were very expensive to repair (S model). Fun to drive, love the Bose radio, leather seats are awesome, moonroof is convenient, has power everything.

Only owner(1995). I have done all the services required, my millenia has been outstanding.I have only to repair the car repair twice in eight years, both were minor repairs. One was the radiator blew the the other was something minor. My millenia has 131K miles and I just started to notice a difference in the performance. Things are starting to rattle. The design has lasted wonderfully during the last eight years. Most peolpe think I have a new car when they see it because the body was so well designed,it is timeless. As far as performance, in this price range, it can't be beat. The power in this car is amazing and the ride is smooooooth.

95L 2.5 liter with 93K miles, 76K are mine. Good, but underpowered road car with roomey, comfortable seats and a nice control layout. Most recent work was a timing belt for the first time, camseals and related PS/WP and AC/Alt belts at 92K for $384. Except for routine maintenance, tires, spark plug wires and value cover gaskets ($330) replaced at 60K, this 95 has so far been good to me.

Car was in great condition when it was bought but went down hill from there. One problem after another both with the engine (radiator, thermostat, alternator, oil links, transmission) and interior features (poor quality seats, dash, cargo nets, & cup holders). For a top of the line car, this ones the pits. Had to dump major $$ in repairs.

Three months and 2,000 miles into ownership. Now at 74,000. Bought for $4200 from first owner; car is immaculate. $600 in tires; oil change to Mobil 1, Wix filters. Tremendous bang for the buck with supercharger, Bose system great, ergonomic controls, pearl white color, neighbors thought it was brand new! Transmission shifts authoritatively like German cars. Supple suspension for its size and class. Lacks some features of 2004 luxury cars, but we're talking under $5,000 here! I'm impressed with design, layout, and build quality. Averaging 19 to 21 mpg, most driving freeway at 80 mph. (Houston, TX)

When was shopping... was choosing between Nissan Maxima and this hottie... Car looks great much better look than Maxima... Exterior is very nice and sharp, as well as a nice leather interior... handles nicely... enough power from start (Maxima up to 2000 doeasn't stand close even with a stick shift) as well as a very good performance on a highway... the highest mine ever did was 130pmh... and it felt like the car was glued to the road... Very happy with my desicion... likes too much fuel when pushed from stand...

In 90,000 miles and 10 years, bought third set of tires last year, replaced 1 battery after 5 years, resurfaced front brake rotors and new pads (at 78k). The half shaft boots tore at 80k miles. Those will be $400 to replace the half shafts. That is it. Outstanding reliability. Good performance. Very comfortable. Still stylish interior. Great overall package.

Got this car with 70,000 miles on it. At 80,000 replaced fuel injector lines ($300); problem free from then until this year. At 170,000 miles had to replace starter, radiator, and battery. Compared to any 1995 American car, it's been reliable and fun to drive.

I bought my millenia last year, with 117,000 miles for $7,000. Since then I have put on 13,000 miles. Reliability has been pretty good until now. I Just had it towed to the dealer the other day.....$1,100 to repair water pump, and timing belt not to include towing cost. other than that, I can't really complain.

Great car, but smokes a bit

95 Millenias all smoke some, and that's just a fact of life. This car has smooth lines and a good engine. It rides smoothly on the interstate, and usually gets around 24 mpg. It accelerates well in the 40-60 mph range, but has a little bit of trouble getting up and going sometimes. The trunk is huge, the backseat is roomy, and the instrument panel is set up nicely. Overall, a great car if you can get past the smoking of the engine.

I purchased my 1995 millenia in May of 2002. I got the car for $5,200. What a steal. It had 90,000 miles at the time. I have put 45,000 miles on the car this year. (My job as a traveling salesman really packs on the miles). The Milenia has been outstanding. On the freeway it delivers a true luxury ride, while maintaining an "athletic" stance on the road. This is a fairly big car that never feels like a yacht. The car does not have the power of a Maxima (especially not the 2.5 liter version). The reliability of a Camery is probably superior. For the money though, you absolutely can't go wrong with a Millenia.

This car does not hold value nevertheless is quality in many ways. If you want to pay $7,000 +/- for a late model luxury car, this is it. The ride is sporty and solid, tranny smoothe, seats solid, little road noise. Looks like a new model car. Sound system sounds great (see below though). Could use more HP. I have 135,000 mi and am not selling.

The millenia is the best looking car in the streets. There is not that many of them driven so we tend to stand out in the crowd. It has attractive styling and a great setup for the interior. The base millenia has 170 hp which is not much, but performance parts here and there boosted it much more which made it allot faster and more smoother. Putting performance rims and tires made the car more sporty looking and grip the road better. Customizing the millenia will make it better looking than any other bmw or lexus. Overall the 1995 millenia is a great car and the price is very low compare to car in it's class.

I got his car after my granddaughter's death. It had been taken care of pretty well. It now has 200,000 miles and runs very well. No problems so far except there seems to be some kind of special knack adding coolant -- the temp guage has started going to hot but the add coolant light on the dash doesn't come on. After the car cools, the gauge goes back to normal setting (cold) but after about 3 miles or so runs to hot again but no boil over...not sure what this means and I slowly add coolant via the reservoir and over night it drains low soI just add a little more. Must not have a full radiator yet but maybe i should totally drain and refill and that may solve the problem.

I have owned 2 Mazdas and probably will not again. 1st 1995 Mazda Millinia. At 35,000 miles started the "nickel and dime". 35,000mi. plug wires, 50,000mi. CV joints and water pump. Shortly after needed repainting paint and interior shown early deterioriation. We sold it in 2002. On the up side it was a sports sedan and performance was Okay and the ride was nice.

Seriously, this car is nothing but a money pit. I have the V6, 4 door. The airbags went off for no reason. The Distributor cap slit twice (600 bucks per repair) the alternator, transmission, fuel pump, AND oxygen sensor has all gone out multiple times. I have put TRIPLE the money into this car than what I bought it for. Do not get this car. Unless you like throwing money away monthly.

Bought this car new in '95- loved the look and the way it drove- gets good gas mileage(24-26 mpg in town). A very quiet car! I had no problems w/ Millie until warranty up at 60k. Since then, I've had both cv jts replaced, plug wires have burned out, has developed trans. fluid leak, 3 oil leaks and now possibly has a head gasket going bad. This car has only 80k miles and has been serviced regularly. This week the coolant leaked out of AC- had to be relaced. I have found this car to be very expensive to maintain and repair. Maybe I just bought the lemon.

Got A "New" Japanese Domesitc Eng&Trans

I have had two extended warranties on this Mazda Millenia until it ran out around 85K miles. I got my worth out of them. I replaced a engine mount; valve, etc., maybe $12,000 in parts and labor during the two warranties. I missed out by a day on the rear wheel fender rust recall and the service adviser said I was too late by a day. By 110K miles; my engine light came on and the transmission acted up. The "P" was lighted up on the gear section in the speedometer cluster. I went around town to all the transmission shops and to local Mazda dealership and wasted around $400 for pretty much advise as to the cheapest way to fix my Millenia. Got a Japanese Domestic Engine and Transmission.

I have had nothing but problems with this car....replaced tranny, head gaskets, cv axels, os sensor, and ekg boot...over 2,500.00 in repairs in less than one year. I wouldn't suggest buying the 95 model....seems the best ride comes while under warranty. Stay away from this car unless you have deep pockets for repairs!

This car is infamous for its phantom check engine light problems. I wish that were the only problem.... have replaced thermostat, O2 sensors, precatylitic coverters and have an unhealthy coolant burning issue; yet the typical stuff like brakes, hoses, exhaust, etc. remain well preserved. The point is, the car is expensive to repair yet relatively low maintainance... a strange dichotomy. By the way, the car rusts well in northern climes.

This is my 2nd Millenia 1995. 1st the standard engine. Lacked power, shifting unimpressive. Traded it for the S version. More power, but shifting still unimpressive. Maintenance & repairs very expensive. 60K miles maintenance at Mazda dealer $1600 "due to the special engine". Front shock absorbers $700. I paid $1200 for 1st ext. warranty, repairs exceeded $2500 by the time it expired. It does not break down often, but when it does, it's costly. CHECK ENGINE light (Oxigen Sensors: 4 instead of 2)$600. Dashboard display that shows A/C settings: over $800. Replacing a $4 part somewhere in there: $260 in labor.

Now, it may just be that i got taken by the dealer, but only 4,000 miles into this car (87,000 on the odometer)my car took a complete dump on me. First, i dropped $900 into it for O2 sensors, then the mechanic wanted another $3,100 for a rebuilt engine, which turned into $4,500-$8,000 for a rebuild + new/rebuilt/used supercharger. In the end, i put a used engine in it for $2,400 and sold it for $5,000 the day after i got it out of the shop. In the end, i went home broke and bought a corolla for $7,500, as i had no more money.

Was great when I bought it, but very quickly went BAD. All repairs are VERY expensive due to parts cost. Overheats at high altitude easily, strange engine "failures". Tranny shifts poorly, hubcaps fall off. Overall the worst car that I have ever owned. Never buy a Mazda again, or a Ford (the engine is the same one used in the Probe).

I saw this car it was for sale. 1995 84,000 miles everything worked in the car after 25 years. Wow this car never been driven that much. No scratches no dents. Interior good. It still had the cassette stero. Ac heater everything works. I'm thinking this car has to be a show car. Someone was storing this car and barley drove it. So I bought it for 2000.00. I've had it 2 years now and I've had to replace The catalyst convertor a fuel injector did a complete tune up. Rear brakes front axles and a battery. Also took that old cassette out and put new stero in. I got a short in the windshield wipers other then that. The only problem is that since it's been 25 years it has obd1 and not 2 so somethings don't show on computer like the newer cars.
