Car seems to be all about appearances
We have a 2024 Mazda CX-5, and while it may be closer to a base model than the top trim, we expected more from Mazda than this. Despite what the Edmunds’ reviewer said, this car has excessive wind and road noise, a very uncompressed and busy ride, and the seats lack the comfort and support that we hoped for. Our 2016 Nissan Rogue had much better support, a much more composed ride, and much lower wind noise. The engine drones and shoots up to 5 or 6 RPM to make a simple pass on the freeway—about the only positive thing I can say about the driving experience when equipped with the base engine is the steering is relatively sharp and precise. But I would sacrifice some of its “agile handling” for a better ride, because this car is so damn bumpy. The infotainment system isn’t very good; there is barely any customization and the graphics look awful (not old, per se, but there just isn’t much by way of appearance it’s very bland and has almost no customization. A touch screen would be appreciated). The back seats are uncomfortable to be generous, and there is no USB plugs anywhere. The headlights are surprisingly dull and unhelpful considering this is a 2024 model, and the sound system leaves a lot to be desired…it’s tinny and has no bass response to speak of; it sounds like an elevator speaker and has trouble drowning out all of the road noise. Overall, I can’t recommend this car to anyone, at least a model that isn’t the top trim…which is a shame because Mazda used to be value packed, but now I would say I’d recommend, dare I say it, Nissan over Mazda. I am just not impressed with the material quality, driving experience, technology, or really anything about this car. I’m sure reliability will be great, but I won’t be getting another Mazda.

Honest Review - Don't buy it until you read this
Purchase a 2024 Mazda CX-5 Sig Turbo about 1 month ago. After thoroughly driven the Mazda, I have to say the drive is spectacular. The comfort and safety technology are on point. Love the heated seats, vented seats, blind spot mirror, rain sensing wipers, auto headlight turning adjustment, and bose speakers. Everything else that it offers other cars probably have it. If you're in for a reliable drive, then I would definitely recommend it. However, I think after driving it for a month, I already feel that it lack conveniences and I would've just purchase a different car. I get it, nothing is perfect! So here's the gripes of the car. The side mirror color; why silver? Paid for signature turbo so we don't get that plastic cladding but the side mirror has to be silver different from the whole car? If you're going to make it perfect, then at least match the color of the car. The climate control seems to need some calibration, 66 degrees in the winter to blow cooler air or else the car just stays hot! The android play and carplay seems to have a bit of lag when loading and selecting different apps, it's not unbearable, but when you're driving, every second counts. The side view mirrors have no built in heat to clear fogs! The car does not have remote start except for the Mazda app which is not free after 3 years; it takes 1 whole minute for the car to start later. I think for a premium price car, it lacks luxury items that a 2011 Equinox(my last baby) had without even asking for.

Dream car.
Car looks beautiful inside and outside , it is also comfortable and spacious. Smooth drive lots of technologies , sunroof is a plus. MPG is great

Why the hype all this time?
Just purchased the CX-5 two days ago and I'm regretting it. The car handles nicely and may have some luxury details to it, but basically to hide the very basic nature of the car. It doesn't feel like a solid engine or ride. I feel like I'm driving a teapot. But that's the same as I have felt in other of these mid-size SUVs. So maybe that is what you can expect from these. The cabin layout feels like a toy car. And you feel kind of cramped in the seat, which is also hard and bumpy. I bought it because you do feel sitting upright which I like due to lower back issues. But that's about it. My legs feel trapped on the elevated sides which press against them. It's just not a comfortable ride. They added the touchscreen ability for Carplay, but it's too far away making it difficult to handle. It's weird because it's not luxury, comfort, or sport. It's just a mix that has no identity. And to top it off is not fuel efficient. I don't understand the great reviews for this car.
