My CX-5 Carbon A Bit of Buyer Remorse
Purchased a vehicle for a new job I onboarded and did a ton of research on reliability and overall value in my budget range. I did make a mistake and bought this in the evening and did not realize the stitching on the leather seats is hot pink so I took some heat from the wife! Vehicle is really sleek and rides nice albeit firm but I am good with that. It was supposed to have Bose but they gave me a factory deduct which was a downer. Seats and interior are luxurious and comfortable however the seats seem a bit short in length and the adjustments do not allow enough tilt up in the front of the seat so I feel like I am sliding. It is a tighter fit interior more designed like a cockpit. Honestly is rather simpleton and the dial controls for the infotainment take some getting used to and no Sirius XM offering although I can do so through Apple Play, not sure why they did not incorporate this. The console is a big negative, it to short in length and the USB plug-ins are hard to reach. They have a very small tray holder which is pretty useless and not very deep. I can keep my hand sanitizer in it but that's about it. They should have put the USB plugins under under the dash. One item that makes the vehicle feel cheap is the fuel door believe it or not, once you unlock and open it, it is just flimsy, no drag on it. I went to put fuel in while is was fairly windy and it blew the fuel door shut, a real pain. The vehicle rides nice and it is quiet on the highway. For me it accelerates fine but i suppose if you prefer more pep, fork out for the turbo. The gun metal gray is a hot color and with black 19" wheels it looks great. I like the vehicle but there is just something overall missing for me. While the interior is luxurious it seems a bit generis in an odd way. I was in a hurry to get a vehicle to start this job and I should have taken more time to test drive others. It is a nice vehicle but again, there are little things that are missing. Plain white dash dials, nothing digital except the tiny flat panel.

A nice Mazda
The Mazda CX-5 is a well built, nice handling car. It is easy to drive and handles city streets and highways equally well. The interior is well designed with an easy to read dashboard instrument display - I have the analogue display. The seating is comfortable and there are adjustments for legroom, height, lumbar support, and the steering wheel. The cargo capacity is typical for a vehicle this size. The Mazda Connect feature offers many options for entertainment, bluetooth, and so on that are too numerous to mention. You can use your cell phone for GPS, music streaming, etc. The Mazda Connect display screen is large and easy to see without diminishing the view through the windshield. The backup camera activates when reverse gear is selected, giving a good view of the area behind the car. There are alerts for objects in the vicinity of the car - blind spots and so on. I gave this car 4 stars (I would give it 4.5 stars if I could) because I have some very small critiques. First, the break and accelerator pedals are close to each other and take some getting used to. The only other very minor issue is that there is no clock displayed unless the Mazda Connect feature is on. It would have been nice to have a separate clock display that turns on when the car is started. As I mentioned, these complaints are small ones as my overall experience with the CX-5 has been excellent. I am very happy with this car.

Best in class cx5 turbo
Traded 2020 cx30 for 2023 cx5 turbo. I have driven it for 6 months and my favorite vehicle of over 25 I've owned. Today was heavy snow and with Michelin CrossClimates this vehicle was a snow machine. Had purchased a 2021 cx5 for my wife and after 2 road trips I traded in my cx3O for the greater visibility and size of the cx5 . Mazda has designed a superb AWD system and when coupled with the driving dynamics, interior quality, safety, and aesthetics of its style the cx5 is the synergistic best in class.
I love my new car!
If no one told you the type of car you were test driving, you would think this was a luxury vehicle. You have to see it to believe it! It has all of the bells and whistles!

Great car, infotainement system needs improvements
I bought another CX-5, so I like a good enough. Quite ride, enough power without being forced into a turbo. But why on earth is the infotianment center not touch screen. The various knobs do the job, but fast forwarding a book on MP 3 in nearly impossible. Also the dash gauge could use an option to show speed digital as so many other do. Power heated seats are great and 2 setting memory for the seat at this low a trim is amazing and a buy reason for me.
