I love almost everything about my car. Quality, handling, are excellent. Never had a problem with it in 13,000 miles so far. I took out the 6 disc changer in favor of a pioneer nav HDD system.

Have only owned for a short time. Love the handling and fun factor like other reviewers. Also don't like the fuel economy like others. I have owned an 04 Acura TL (270 hp and heavier) and an 07 Sonata (235 hp 6) and both of those average 28 mpg just like I'm getting with the Mazda. Doesn't make sense to me. I don't drive it hard and I have just a small amount of stop and go. I'm going to switch to synthentic oil and I'm hoping it improves after break in.

Many More For Me

I have a 2007 Mazda 3 GS (which is second from the top of the line) this is a beautiful car. This car preforms at an extreme level and it has plenty hoursepower for a 4 cylinder automatic. When I needs to pass a car up hill or down the Mazda can pass it with no hesitation. I would definitely recommend a Mazda3 to anyone who was thinking of purchasing a fun car. The only problem I have with this car is that there is a squeak in the center console which Mazda says they can't fix. And after a night of the car being parked, the back brakes stick and then squeak for a few minutes, not a big deal but very loud. Besides these little problems that I found, this is an awesome and fun to drive car.

Very good handling, good mpg for a compact, very good power, lot's of features for money, ride below avg. Even for a compact also not very quiet even for a compact, had it back in for at least 2 events. Remote start and engine lite was on 4 days while I waited for an appointment. Could not drive it for fear of breaking down out of town or in bad place. Messed up 4 day week end.

I can't say enough about my Mazda3. I got everything I wanted in this car at a great price. I do agree with the prior comment about thin paint. I've never had a car chip so much as this one. But I can live with that.

I have had the 2007 Mazda3 for 9 months now and I really like it. It has acceleration, is nimble, and is very fun to drive. I got most of the options including xenon lights, sunroof, compass in the mirror, leather, on board computer. Basically I got this car with all the options you'd find in a BMW. I have owned two BMWs in my life and believe it or not, this Mazda3 is as much fun to drive as those BMWs.

This car has all the bells and whistles including navigation, bose premium 6-disk changer, satellite radio, moon roof, rear spoiler, heated seats, cargo management system, auto transmission/manual tap shift option all for an an amazing value. This car is fun to drive has amazing get up, curtain airbags, and gets all the looks from car enthusiasts. I highly recommend this car for any person ready to ditch their gas guzzling SUV and who wants to drive a fun little buggy that gets great gas mileage, and that's big on style and bang for the buck! Way to go Mazda!

I got this car about 6 weeks ago and I couldnt imagine being happier with any other car. It gets good gas mileage, great handling and is still very comfortable. I'm a busy student who works as well and I make frequent longer trips from LA on the weekends. It's great for just going around town and cruising down the freeway. The interior is well designed with everything in reaching distance. I love this car!

It's quick when you need it, it looks like a sharp euro car, especially in White. I've driven 85k in the 2 years I've had it, not one problem except new tires, no surprise. When I use Mobil 1 5-20 and drive 55, I get 40 mpg! Can you show me another non-hybrid car at this price that performs like that? at under $14k, the 07 is perfect for anyone on a lower budget. The 2.3 engine is faster and offers more color choices, but you'll lose 5 mpg. The 2.0 is fast enough unless you have ego issues.

I bought my brand new Mazda3 S GT in Black. First off, there were 2 chips in the hood that went down to the bare metal. They replaced the hood which I am thankful for. Today, while cleaning my vehicle I noticed a rock chip on my windshield the size of a pin head. Great car, but it seems to be easily prone to rock chips. I had a 99 Camry, and had many rocks hit my windshield, and never a chip. Now I have to pay 60 dollars to have the chip filled with no guarantee that it will last. I hope Mazda strengthens their windshields on future models, but overall this is a classy little car with a BMW 3 series look to it.

It is incredible in dry weather. Nice quick ride and rather cheap to own. Oil changes are awful as they have a plastic shield you have to remove first and Jiffy lube just cuts through it to get to the filter. I greased the 8 bolts so they do not rust up so quickly. Park this car when it snows - it is very dangerous. I cannot even get up a slight incline. completly useless. As much as I love driving it in good weather I will be forced to get rid of it as it is 100% useless on any little bit of snow.

I dumped my horribly unreliable Volkswagen Jetta to buy this car, and I couldn't have made a better choice. It has been totally reliable and fun to drive. Gas economy is great. It's also super cute. Last summer I drove it down the West Coast and had a blast. It is comfortable for long trips, but also really convenient in the city. With factory issued tires it is not great in the snow. I have to put on tire chains at Mt. Hood when it's snowing.

There is no better car than a Mazda3 in this class. I look forward to driving mine every day. It's great on gas, has a great audio system, and definite curb appeal. I recommend this car to anyone who's searching for quality, economy, safety and fun. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least drive one of these before making a purchase.

I love this vehicle. I bought mine July of 2007 and absolutely love it. When it is time to trade this one in, I will definitely be getting another Mazda. The only thing I don't like about it, after a certain amount of miles (low mileage) the tires seem to make a loud noise after accelerating to a certain speed and when slowing down. I would also put at trunk release on the keyless entry pad. Would be a great help.

Looks cool, handles great, great mpg, got all kinds of options for a cheap price, pretty good giddy-up and go. Really love the dash lighting - that blue to bright red makes me feel like I am in a space ship. The pump up/down driver's seat is nice, I am nearly 6' tall and I can easily lower it and feel perfectly comfortable in it while my 5'2'' wife can do the same. The 6 cd stereo rocks pretty good for being just factory. It is also a head turner. We got a spoiler too and that just adds to its over all appeal. I just cannot say enough good things about it, wish I could get another so we can have 2 and I could drive it full time. Sometimes I like to look out the window and gaze at our ''zoom-zoom".

The 3 5-door Gran Touring is a solid, well put together vehicle that is fun to drive. As a suburban commuter, i get 23 MPH. The original Goodyear RSA tires were bad, only got 18,000 miles out of them, and they were terrible in bad weather. Put on slightly wider yokahama's that are terrific. This car is heavy, and a bit of a pig off the line, but at speed is handles well, accelerates well, and is comfortable.

I bought this car specifically to improve upon the gas mileage I was getting in my Maxima. Even though it's rated for 35 mpg, I routinely get better than that when it's warm out (37-38 is not uncommon). What I've found really impressive is that at high speeds, the mileage doesn't seem to be sacrificed. On the drive from Salt Lake to Laramie, I must have averaged around 80-85 mph and still achieved better than 35 mpg. The stereo is great for a stock stereo and the MP3 jack is a nice touch. I previously owned a 2001 Protege ES which I thought handled slightly better than the 3, but the 3 is a much better looking car. Somehow with the same engine as the Protege, mileage improved big time.

Have had the car almost a year and have enjoyed the handling. The very first thing is the fuel mileage is very poor. In town is 20.7 and interstate is 25, not at all what I expected from a 2.0 engine. Took a trip to AZ and was surprised at handling in traffic, and it felt roomy. I found nothing extra in the mountains as far as power. I guess the engine is a little small, which brings me back to poor mileage. I love the dash at night, doesn't blind me when driving.

Purchased this car as a commuter: 90 miles round trip up the canyons. Power is great and gas mileage is amazing. We average 35mpg climbing 2500 feet to get back home. We looked at the Corolla and the civic and there was no comparison. We went with the Mazda because of reliability, power, and gas mileage. It is also a much better looking car. This is our second Mazda, we still own the first: a 1990 Miata with 100K miles on it.

This is the first time I have ever had a brand new car. I bought the Mazda3 SGT in Mica Black, and I skimped on the navigation, but got everything else. The car is amazing! My only complaint is it is hard to keep clean, and those low-profile tires make me feel EVERYTHING on the road. Even after the 7500 miles I've put on it.

I personally own a Mazdaspeed3 hatchback and my wife enjoyed the sedan enough to want to get a sedan so we bought one. The interior on both is very nice and almost identical. My wife loves the look of this car and it is a very sport car with nice interior and looks on the outside. I had to add a rear wing to make it look sportier and upgraded my wife's interior lighting to LED's and upgraded her headlights to HID as well as upgraded the rims to 18-inch. The stock 16s are really ugly and too narrow so the fenders stuck out like crazy, adding wider and larger rims made a difference. Also the rearend is too high up so we had to install rear springs to drop the back down a bit to even it out.

After being disappointed by the arrival of a few new "super cars", my wife steered me toward Mazda. Not since I drove my first sports car at 18 - a long time ago - have I taken so much to a car. The drive position, steering feel, throttle/steering coordination and world class brakes were all something from the "Sorceror's Apprentice". And the glove box is more the size of a small suitcase; you can actually store stuff. In short, although I was considering Japanese and German sports sedans at almost twice the price, this car put an end to that insanity. Why not spend half the money for same dose of fun - plus the bonus of made in Japan build quality. I did - not so stupid after all.

This is by far the best car in its price range. It feels like a car costing several $K more. No comparison with so-called competitors like Corolla, Cobalt, Caliber, etc. (Maybe a Civic comes close.) The Mazda3 just does not feel like a small car. The 2.0 engine is more than adequate, reasonably quiet and zippy. I saw no reason to go the 2.3 for extra dollars. Handling is great, goes where you tell it to go. Brakes inspire confidence. Basic stereo is quite good. (I wanted the upgrade, but would have to have taken moonroof and other gimmicks.) Styling is fabulous, sporty but not too much so. Mileage is as advertised, but certainly no better.

I have had this car for several months now. It gets better than advertised fuel mileage if not drivin too hard. I drive 50 miles to work everyday, over a mountain and average 36 to 38 MPG. I have had it on the open road and it gets slightly less, comming in at an average of about 34MPG. I think this is because at 75 MPH it is turning 3500 RPMs.You cant argue with getting around 400 miles on a tank befor the light comes on. I think the manuals could use a 6th gear.

Great driving machine but hard to find a manual. 07 Civic and 07 Corolla have nowhere near the road manners and performance of this one. Smooth and quiet ride but with excellent feel of the road. Acceleration is quite spirited and the quiet cabin belies the speed you are driving at. Braking is amazing! Only car with stability control at this price level. In mixed driving around Seattle I get 400 miles per tank. The hatch has ample cargo volume for hauling. Very easy to attach baby seats with the latch system. Driving at night, with the fog lights on, is a pleasure for tired eyes. The illuminated buttons (audio and cruise) on the steering wheel take a bit of getting used to.

So far, it's been a great little car. It's an Aurora Blue GT loaded with Bose, moonroof, 6CD, 5-spd AT, and Homelink autodim mirror. I purchased this vehicle brand new - 100miles of test driving. I fell in love with it the second I saw it and knew this car belonged to me the first time I drove it. It was a step down from the top line model, and it has been a great car. I keep up to date with the maintenance and it is pretty decent with gas averaging around 28-30mpg. It is always peppy and handles great. Not to add, the thing is a tank and really well built. I hit a truck drive shaft on the highway at 70mph and had no undercarriage damage - only a popped tire. Overall, the car has been great. I just hit 60k and thus far he's still trucking along. For a small car it definitely holds up. I am for sure a Mazda customer.

Fun to drive. It has a lot of nice little "luxury" items standard in this model. I am 6'4" and my wife is 5'3" and we both can fit, though when I am driving my right leg is a little tight against the console. The passenger side is very comfortable. Only real complaint is there is a LOT of road noise, tires and wind are a lot louder than I was expecting

I have owned this vehicle now just short of 3 years and it has 27k miles. Overall it is a fine car. Peppy, responsive, and fun to drive. My wife wanted the automatic so that is what we got. The manumatic is a bit lame when it comes to shifting but it still provides some fun factor. Mileage has been pretty good, right around the ratings. All in all it meets my expectations. The negatives that have come to light are the following. The oem tires are awful for wear and handling on wet pavement. These will need to be replaced soon at $550 to $800 for the lot. I was disappointed to read in the manual that snow chains could not be used on models with alloy wheels. Vehicle is not good in snow.

My wife and I always liked the 3 since it came out but never bought one until now. So far I think it is a great car compared to the others in its class. You feel like you spent in the 30 to 40 price range. Upscale interior compared to others in its class, great styling was also a key in our purchase. I am pleased with the gas mileage, although should be better. You will not find a car that gets better MPG that is this fun to drive.

I bought my Mazda3i sedan AT two months ago. It performs well, I'm only sorry I didn't choose manual transmission as the engine is very lively and car itself is light, so MT may give you better feeling of the car. But the AT performs smooth, is very responsive and very comfortable to ride. Being 6'2" means many of the cars just won't give you enough space. Only question I may have is the fuel economy. I do 1/2 hwy & 1/2 city with one passenger and after 2500 miles, I got not more than 26 mpg. I thought it would be more savvy on gas consumption.

I thought Mazda's Zoom-Zoom campaign was just marketing, but it actually describes the personality of the Mazda3. It has the functionality, versatility and economy of a small hatchback, but the fun-to-drive feature captured us. Numerous luxo touches. Overall, excellent value at this price point.

Well my wife decided on the mazda 3. I believe it suits a female pretty good, although I've been driving the heck out of it lately(6'2 220lbs). It surely beats my jeep's(11-13MPG) getting on average 29-31 MPG. Its peppy with plenty of commuting power, not a race car though. Very comfortable and very stylish inside. Overall its a very good car to own and drive. Although I've been leaning towards the hybrids-45-50MPG. I'm commuting on average 200 miles a day with the mazda 3...OUCH!!! I strongly believe this car gets above average MPG for a car this size and non-hybrid.

This car is great and very fun to drive. The 2.3L gets about 26 city and about 32 hwy mpg. The trunk is large for the size of the car. The Bose audio is a nice and sounds GREAT! This car has great handling and smooth riding. I love this car.

I was reluctant to purchase the Mazda3 automatic, but after shopping for almost 3 weeks, and driving countless cars, I found my Mazda3. I love it, it handles awesomely, it is stylish, clean, the engine is sound, the stereo system is fantastic for such a small sedan but it is not small inside. I can fit 4 average sized people comfortly. The only problem I see thus far is the dashboard is a very dark brown, almost black, and I live in Florida, so it collects the heat and makes for a hot car until the air gets going full blast for a few minutes. I would defintely buy another Mazda!

I have owned my Mazda3 for about a month. I went and drove the new Hondas and the new Toyotas and did not even check out the American makes. For the price of the Mazda3, it out performs in acceleration, handling, braking and shifting. It is also more comfortable and just all around more enjoyable to drive. If you want a nice car that has a sexy design and drives well for a great price, then I suggest the Mazda3.
