One very high performance car
Mark VIII 1993 to 98 LSC series. Same 1995 model holds stock vehicle land speed record of 183.2 MPH. Maintenance at 65,000 has been limited to battery and tires. Definately a road car with plenty of power and fun on the curves. Best looking in its class. Only one better, type two LSC with the newer body style. Last production year is 1998. Try one you will love it.
Buy this sleeping beast
I bought this car after owning over 9 Fords and a Lincoln Mark VII. This car has nothing but reliability, comfort, and power. Now has 120,000 miles and nothing but balljoints replaced by me at home. Chip, exhaust, and air system added for over 300 horsies. Will crack 2nd gear in an auto. Ma and Pa have a 1995 Z-28, my car will spank it. Me and the wife and kids take it on vacations with much comfort and little complaining. Awesome air conditioning, awsome MPG up to 28 MPG. Air ride system still original. Car has DVD player with JBL sound, sounds like you are in a theater. All of this for a car that I bought for 2300. Pearl paint not faded. Great power options.
Here it is 2019, & this car still rocks. 5 Stars!!
So, I was looking for a Lincoln Mark VIII and this one came across my screen via Craigslist. Usually, any cars on CL are suspect... especially when dealing with California or Florida cars.... as they may look nice - but are usually more "worn" & usually are maintenance nightmares (despite having no to little rust. So, lo & behold... I found that one decent person on CL who represented the car exactly like it was. It had been owned by a Pastor's wife and had minimal usage for the past 10 years. The gentleman selling it to me had purchased it to let his parents use it while they visited for the winter (so he wouldn't allow them to rent a car for that long) so he put on new tires & did the entire 100k service. They put on about 2,000 miles in that time, & then they went back home. His wife then put her foot down & said it needed to go (he had many toys/projects). So, after getting the car fax... my son & I flew into San Diego & drove a car rental to his home. The car was everything he said it was, & much more (the only weak link was a cheap JVC stereo, something easily resolvable). We then dropped off the car rental & I drove him back to his house, I registered the car at the DMV for a one way trip... I then took it across the country (driving PCH & hitting some beaches, seeing the Grand Canyon & Sedona, visiting my daughter & grand kids, driving through the beautiful stretch of I-40 & stopping at Route 66 shops along the way) & we got back to Illinois within 3 1/2 days. Literally, the car was perfect the entire time (& it saw its first snow). Since then, the Mark has enthralled many friends by its condition (it is an incredible survivor & example of a 95 Mark VIII). I fully expect to have it for years, it already has seen a Cars & Coffee... and is just a blast to drive. The only update I made to it was adding a XO-Vision NAV bluetooth stereo unit w/ 4.5" screen (combined with the JBL amp - it sounds incredible). Using my Android phone for Pandora, Google Maps, & phone calls using a 3.5 connector or bluetooth, ensures its infotainment is like most new vehicles (I use a LG Fiesta2 which cost $40 & does 85% of what the flagship phones do). My suggestion to anyone out there looking for a "sleeper", if you can find an excellent example... pounce on it & quickly. This car still looks like it is only a couple of years old (it is THAT clean).

1995 Mark VIII Black Beauty a Jem!
I purchased this car as a winter beater to drive to and from work, but never expected to fall in love with it! I have a number of Ford collector cars and have had pretty much everything American, Japanese, German etc. This car is bullet proof at 160,000 miles and untouched it will blow the doors off just about anything new on the road and give a good run to most anything else out there. It has an electronic power chip and cranks out about 350 horse but easy on gas. 50% black tint on glass, new stereo with original JBL system is excellent. I think I have another classic car on my hands!
Lincoln Mark VIII 1995
Great car....Now has 135,000 still going..
Eat Your Heart Out Lexus Buyer
This car RULES. I have driven a newer Lexus costing five or six times as much as I paid for my used Lincoln. When I drive by a Lexus I laugh and say "You got cheated!" I have better acceleration, feul economy, seating comfort, handling, stereo system, trunk space, and luxury features. Okay, it doesn't have navigation (but I could add it). Chances are that my "old" Lincoln will still be blasting down the road long after your new Lexus is in the junkyard.
Will RUN Forever?
I purchased my 95 model in sept of 2000 with 68k miles on the odometer. I was leary of the supposed "High Mileage" and was prepared to spend a few thousand dollars on repairs, since the car was so close to 100k miles. I "put off" a recommended transmission cooler AND some very much needed transmission upgrades because I thought it'd be a waste of time, since the transmission would surely DIE right about the 100k mile mark. 100k miles passed without so much as a hicuup! Around 175k I had replaced all the air bags at a cost of 650 for parts. Install took a little bit of a saturday afternoon. Currently I have 5000 drag strip passes on the car 297,000 miles
My third Mark 8
I bought it. I am second owner. Never smoked in. Original owner died. Several little things to repair. I knew it when I bought it. Parts are no longer in stock and you have to use e-bay to find them. It will not be sold while I am alive. Awesome vehicle. AWESOME VEHICLE. COST $40,000 24 YEARS AGO. AWESOME IN EVERY WAY. THERE WON'T BE A THIRD OWNER UNTIL I PASS.

Mark 8
This is a great car! I've only had it a few months, but I'm pretty happy with it! I have been looking at the Mark 8 since I was in my 20's, and had the chance to get one (now that I'm 35!). It wasn't really my first choice when I started car shopping, but more like my 4th or 5th, you know, because today they are becoming harder to find with age. (My goal in mind was to find a full size auto with 2 doors and a V-8!) Once I found one, in a very popular color, red, I was really impressed! Lincoln has out done itself again with this model! Being the previous owner of a 2 door Mark 6, I can see that the 8 is light years ahead! It's too bad that this model is out of production today.
Great '95 Lincoln Mk.VIII
This has been a great car! I've had it 4 yrs, now at 118K. Only drawbacks have been the dim headlights and it warps the front disks. Just changed the plugs and wires and it's running like new! All the power you could ask for and great mileage too, averages 22 mpg, gets 28 hwy. I've changed trans. fluid, change oil regularly and hope to drive it for a long time!
so far so good
i haven't had this car very long, only 2 weeks, but i'm definitely enjoying it so far. :)
best stealth racer buy
This is a fun automobile! You'll think this was the smartest purchase of an automobile you've ever made. I liked the performance of my old 5.0 Mustang, but this car out performs it and won't beat you up on a long trip.

A driver's car
Quite simply, the Mark VIII has no equal. Even though the last one rolled off the assembly line in 1998, no car (before or since) can compare. It is a luxurious, powerful, understated, and timeless work of automotive art. Try any rear-wheel drive luxury coupe, and then go for a drive in the Mark. If the power doesn't sell you, then the handling will. If the handling doesn't interest you, then the myriad creature- comforts certainly will. And fuel economy? Try 17(city)/27(highway)!! Thanks to the passage of time and the miracles of depreciation, so much can be had for so little. Find one, drive one, and buy one. Miles of smiles are guaranteed.
Good Car
We purchased the car with 18000 miles on it. We now have more than 80000 miles. Several cross country trips in comfort, and a pleasure to drive. Only one complaint. The rotors on the brakes continue to chatter and require machine turning. A real design weekness of Ford. As much as we like this car we will not consider any Ford product curently on the market.
Spliced Genetic Code
First off, OK, a little off there on the performance numbers my friend! Stock Marks are about mid 15's quarter mile & high 6's in the 0-60. Still very fast though, enough to take on most cars on the road, though the gearing could be a tad more agressive/quicker. I am absolutely addicted to the interior layout. The driver- oriented "cockpit" with everything within reach of my fingertips has completely spolied me for just about any other car.
1995 Lincoln Mk VIII kudos
The Lincoln Mk VIII is the end of a glorious line by Ford/Lincoln. Sadly, tastes change and the line was discontinued in 1958. Its a loss to the automobiling public. My Mark VIII (175,000 miles)is now a classic. Its new engine (50,000 miles ago- and not the fault of the car!) makes it ready for many thousands more of miles of pleasureable driving. To own a Lincoln is class! To own a Mark, is the top of the line!
Best Car Ever
I bought this car as a daily driver but knew it was probably one of the nicest cars ever built by any company. The styling, performance and quality of this vehicle is way beyond anything built before or since. I am sure this is a classic car in the making. The Cobra engine has 4 cam shafts, 32 valves, and port fuel injection makes it untouchable. I would buy another one if they still made them but you can't kill this bulletproof engine as long as you maintain it.
1995 Mark VIII
I purchased this vehicle with 30K miles on it 5 1/2 years ago. Now it has 140K miles. Overall, it has been a good car, but reliability leaves a lot to be desired. The transmission has been completely rebuilt twice and is still not acting right. The rear axle was rebuilt, and brake jobs are common every 25K miles. The fuel pump died. Now the air suspension system is leaking (cost to repair $2500). Electrical demons abound (heater blower stopped, door ajar light stays on, speakers on right side stopped working). My wife and even my mechanic are begging me to sell it, but I can't bring myself to do it. Despite all the flaws, I really love the car.
MARK VIII's ARE GREAT
Hassle free vehicle with great power and a luxury ride. Why did FORD stop making these cars?
Wish they still made them
Love this car, if they were still building them I would buy one today.

Linc Mark VIII Review
This is one of the faster, most comfortable, reliable luxury sports I have ever driven. Too bad the Mark VIII was discontinued.
My Mark
It has been one of the greatest cars I've ever owned. Absolute joy to drive. Beautiful design, the interior cockpit surrounding is awesome. I love its acceleration and control. I try to keep my miles under 9,000 per year so I can drive it for years. Got a hunch it will be a collectable. Owned other Lincolns before, one towncar, one continental. This Lincoln is no comparison to the others. It's in a class by itself. It has been maintenance free for the most part. The sound system is awesome. No complaints other than like me, its getting older.
Nice 95
I bought a black 1995 mark VIII in 2023 which spent its life in San Diego. Its got 27000 miles and still looks good 28 years after it was made. The Mark has some minor paint flaws and a few dings but drives like a champ. At the car shows it draws a crowd and people love to ask about it and tell me about one that they had or one that their dad or a friend had. The majority of them wish they still had one.I really.like this car and have wanted one since they first came out. This one will go to one of my grandsons one day.

Best Car Ever!!!
Faster than a Mustang. Does a 1/4 mile in under 10.0 seconds, has 290/310 HP, 300 FT/LBS Torque! It does 0 - 60 in under 6 seconds!!! Combined with class, luxury, elegance, style, grace, speed and POWER, the Lincoln Mark VIII is probably one of the best cars out there in the World.
I finally satisfied my wife.
The Mark VIII is the first vehicle my wife has been satisfied with in 31 years of marraige. It is her car and she loves to drive and show it off! Super reliable, too!
Lincoln What A Luxery Car Should Be.
This car is still a head turner. Definately ahead of it's time when it debuted. The Germans should have built it first. Since I have purchased my lincoln I have spent 3 times the total value only to fix minor problems. 30,ooo for a tolet, 50,ooo for a hammer; that sort of thing. When you want power and luxery: there is still no equal. I will buy another. The Mark IX scheduled for after 2004 is rumored to have 415 plus horses with a V-10 or 12. This should put Lincoln on the map. A little night vision and a GPS system and wahla your Mark VIII is the BAT MOBILE!
