Always go back to a Lexus
While I’ve only had the car a week now, first impressions have settled in. First, the RX is a noticeable improvement from my 2018 Volvo XC60. It’s quieter, smoother, and much more comfortable. The features I gained over the Volvo are all little things that appeal to me. For example, the electrically adjustable steering wheel as part of the memory seating position. The fact that the seat adjusts to my driving position when starting and retracts when stopping are features the Volvo lacked. The Mark Levenson sound system is the best I’ve ever heard in any car. The sometimes maligned trackpad is extremely easy to use, just adding to the excellent user interface overall. I expected the RX to be quiet and it doesn’t disappoint. The ride is so smooth that I deliberately drove over a small section of a local road that is just a mess of badly done patchwork. The Volvo felt like a stagecoach over this small section, the RX is like a pillow top mattress over the same section. The 20” Michelin tires add to the comfort. My RX included the luxury package, heads up display, heated and cooled seats, triple beam LED headlights, panoramic moonroof and leather upholstery. Overall it is well put together package with more than enough luxury features for what I wanted without the price of the German cars. This is the fourth Lexus over many years, I always seem to come back the brand.

Better than my Audi Q5 Premium Plus
I traded my 2016 Audi Q5 Premium Plus for the RX350 Premium AWD. This SUV makes me smile. Very comfortable and roomy for a person that is 6ft 2in. Love the power adjustable steering wheel and driver seats. Because I'm tall, the driver seats automatically moves back for easy entrance. I did not have half of the technology items in my Audi Q5. Seating in the Audi Q5 was very tight. No one could sit in the second room behind the driver comfortably unless you are a child. I was going to stick with Audi, however the larger SUV vehicle started in the $60K range. I got the RX 350 AWD on the road for $48K well equipped with all of the technology features needed in todays driving. I'm one happy customer! I also own a 2008 LS460 which I purchased new in 2008! Lexus is on the ball!

The worst transmission ever.
I just bought a 2021 Lexus RX 350 with the premium package and navigation. Everything is very nice except the transmission tries to up shift too soon, causing the engine to bog down and then shift back down suddenly. When trying to accelerate, the vehicle hesitates then takes off, I almost got hit because the car would not move. I took it back to the dealer after just 2 weeks and I was told, that’s normal. Also for almost 300 hp, it isn’t very quick. For spending almost 55 K, I should not have to have a SUV that hesitates and surges. I told them I want to return the vehicle. My 2014 Toyota Avalon that I traded in, was a dream car compared to the Lexus.

Worst transmission and build quality
Traded in 2018 model and felt a downgrade overall. Worst transmission at low gear to mid gear shift, observed slight fit mismatch of interior and exterior components. Perhaps this is a result of less Japanese build and more American factory works. Very disappointed for a Lexus fans.

jimmy
Lexus has a big problem with the interiors of the 2021 Rx 350.. if rub or light scuff up with tennis shoe against door panel getting in or out will leave a permanent mark on the panel.. This condition also applies to the dash and dash trim when you have a shopping bag rub against it. The dealer damaged the dash above the instrument cluster. You can see where they wiped the dash and caused a scuff mark. Lexus does not have a answer for their interiors being so user unfriendly . I try to keep my vehicles looking new. This is our second RX350…probably our last…

Hesitation
I’ve owned three prior Lexus vehicles before and never had any problems. I bought a new 2021 Lexus RX350 AWD in June. When I accelerate the vehicle wants to hesitate and not go unless I push the pedal way down then it goes. I’ve almost had several crashes from this. Unless this stops I’ll be forced to trade it in and purchase a different type vehicle and it want be a LEXUS. Very disappointed in this type of performance.

Swindled by Lexus
I thought I was buying a great car from a good company, well I was swindled. Just a few short months after I purchased my 2021 RX350, the plastic fender trim started separating from the fender. I took the car to the dealership and was told by a repair technician that the new 2022 vehicles are doing it too. And now the vehicle has developed and louder then normal sound, when heard when you place a load on the engine. I called Lexus Corporate on these issues and awaiting what the outcome is. A 57,000.00 car should be have much better quality control.

Buyer Beware
I am posting this to hopefully warn others about the decline of Lexus: 2021 Lexus RX 350. My husband and I have each driven a Lexus RX 350 since the mid 90's without a single issue. I bought a 2021 RX 350 i November, 2020. In October, 2021, my friend was driving it on a road trip in Hot Springs, AR. Long story short, as we sat waiting to join the traffic the car just sped off by itself at full speed, causing a fault accident. At the time, I thought my friend had just had some sort of mental lapse. However, in January, 2022, the identical thing happened to me. I filed a complaint with my local Lexus, Austin, TX. It was inspected locally, and the only feedback that I got from the October accident was that "your friend must drive with two feet", which she absolutely does not!! Then, I had to submit a mountain of paperwork to Lexus corporate. In April, they sent a gentleman (3rd party person) to inspect it. I got nothing but a bunch of symbols from him. I received an email as my formal response to my complaint, stating "no accident found"! I guess there wasn't; they had the wrong date for the date of the accident!! I have been lied to, jacked around all over the place, and they won't even return a call now. Additonally, ever since I've owned the car, there is a place in the seat that pokes me; it's never been an issue until this past week when I ended up with sciatica. I won't bother taking in it, because they will just say "nothing found"! I will never purchase another Lexus ever!! There is something very sinister going on. Worst of all, I have to disclose it to the next buyer, but I have nothing in writing to substantiate their false claim of "no accident found"! Buyer Beware!!
Re: My fourth
Since 2011 my family and I have bought Rx350’s. Each time we have upgraded to eventually get the 2021 luxury package. Amazing, well built cars, that engulf you with luxury.

2021 RX350 fsport
Purchased this car 2 months ago to replace my 2013 RX350 (None fsport). The throttle response in regular drive mode is absolutely horrible. I have to drive in sport or sport+ mode to get better driving response. But, still not the best. My 2013 is quick off the start. We still have this car. Anyway, after 5K miles on the 2021, I am seriously thinking about selling it.

Sharp!
What a dreamy ride! Engine purrs then quietly disappears. I like the new 18" wheels, saved some money over the 20" with no drop-off in ride or looks. Upgraded electronics are excellent. Best car for the money out there if you negotiate hard.

A Special Car
I've wanted this car since it was first introduced in 1998 and I just bought my first in early August, 2021. This model is the fourth generation and it may be redone for 2023. Before buying this car you should know that the design intent is for comfort. Low noise levels, smooth ride and comfortable seating. Suburb fit and finish and a feel of luxury. Is it really fast, no. But acceleration is totally adequate. Great road feel, no. I have no desire to "feel" the road but handling is absolutely fine and secure for me. The car feels right at home cruising at 70+mph. Relaxing. The "Entune" system is not intuitive but with hands on practice, while parked, is learnable. The added bonus is overall reliability. I know this because I've owned Toyotas since 1984. Used ones sell in days and sometimes hours. Let's just say that if tomorrow my RX350 fails to start, I'll need to go back in the house sit down and contemplate what else isn't true about the universe?

Great quality, comfortable, mpg slightly high
Excellent vehicle and really comfortable. I love everything except for the mpg. It suppose have 20mpg city/ 27mpg in freeway. So far I get 16 or less average ( 70% city 30% freeway) with 380miles for about first 3 weeks. After 1.5+ year owning, mpg around 17,16-17 gallons gas filled when the low fuel light on, and range about 298mile full tank gas now. I known when you buy luxury vehicle shouldn’t looking at the mpg, I am complaining it but so far, I love my RX. Tires wear out kind of fast, original tires hit the safe indicator around 20k need to replace all four tires. Headlights lenses coating start peeling at 30k miles about 3 years parked under the Sun most of time.

RX 350
Frustrating. The brakes are vibrating at 24,405 mileage which is way below the average life for rotors and pads. Lexus Concord CA won’t repair it for free because we didn’t buy an “extended warranty”. Have I really bought a PREMIUM vehicle? NO , NO, NO. Please don’t commit the same mistake.

Great SUV, Comfortable, Do not get the F Sport
If you are looking for a luxury SUV that is very comfortable with great materials and proven reliability with a low maintenance cost and the best service department of all the manufacturers then a Lexus RX350 is the vehicle for you. If you are looking for something sporty with road feel and can pull 1.05 g's around a figure 8 then the RX350 is definitely not the vehicle for you. I spent an entire day test driving various trim levels of the RX350 and I came away with one distinct impression: Do not get the F Sport. Basically the F Sport tries to make the RX350 something it is not. It does this by adding less comfortable seats that have too much bolstering and a very slightly worse ride quality. I will admit it does add some nice aesthetic touches and adds a digital speedometer screen however my primary focus when buying a Lexus is comfort and quality. If I was worried about sportiness then I would buy a Porsche. Also, the digital speedometer on the F Sport should really be standard on all trims . I ended up buying a "base" RX 350 for $54k. It is optioned fairly well with everything I need. Frankly I could not hear the difference in the Mark Levision audio system from the Premium audio system but I am not a audiophile. I do have the larger infotainment screen which is nice. It also came with the 20 inch rims which look great and do not appear to affect the ride quality very much at all. I have been averaging 24 MPG which is not too bad however I do about 75% freeway driving in my daily commute. I have only found a few minor cons. There is no way to display the speed in the small digital display. I feel it is much easer to see a digital speedometer than a analog one. The digital speedometer display from the F Sport should be standard. The video feed from the rear camera could stand to be a little more crisp as well. The infotainment screen is a touch screen which is great however it is a little hard to reach for an average size person. I am 5"10 for reference. Wireless Apple Car play and the Android equivalent should be an option if not standard. The wireless charging pad is not in the best spot. They should make the little phone holder the wireless charger. The cruise control system still uses an old school stock. I also do not know why they waste space and money putting in a CD player when 99% of people will never use it today. All of these are very minor things however and should not stop you from buying this car. Overall it is a great vehicle for the money however if you want sportiness then go buy a Porsche or BMW and deal with their high maintenance cost and high repair costs. Just know what you are getting into.

Great Midsize SUV
I traded a 2016 Audi Q5 for this vehicle. I'm so glad I did. Not only is this vehicle roomy for 6'2" person as me, but the vehicle also comes with many standard driving safety features which you have to pay extra in other vehicles. I love the adjustable steering wheel and the various position. My Audi had manual adjustable steering and the highest adjustment was not enough. I kept bumping my knee in the Audi every time I got in an out. The RX has reclining rear seats which makes riding in the rear that much more comfortable. I have the AWD model. Although a V6, gas mileage is not as good as the Audi. The RX runs on regular unleaded gas where the Audi used premium. This is my second Lexus. I also own an 2008 LS 460 and a 2004 Toyota Camry. Very dependable cars. I had about 5 recall notices on the Audi. The Audi was much faster standing still then the RX. However, the RX makes me smile every time I drive it! I had driven the Hybrid model, however not too much difference in gas mileage! It you are searching for an affordable mid-size SUV this is the vehicle. It was only a few thousand dollars more than what I paid for the Audi in 2016!

Black Line Edition is a joke
Updated review….12 months later and I absolutely hate this car! Sharp looks inside and out, but it’s been at the dealership 10+ times for faulty technology (camera replacement), loose rear struts, and 20+ rattles, most still unresolved!!! As for transmission, I haven’t had any issues but I highly recommend the all wheel drive. Front wheel drive is absolutely terrible and there’s zero traction on wet roads or when accelerating around a corner. I’ve been looking to get out of my vehicle for a while but there’s just no good deals out there and I know this car will retain value long-term. I just wish I didn’t have to take it to the shop so often.

Don't buy a Lexus - read my story
I bought my RX350 on May 2021. On July 2021, it did not start. I brought it in. I was told that I did not drive enough. That time, I understand because of Covid-19 and I only went to work one day a week. Not long after, I was required to go in two days weeks. On December 2022, it did not start again. I brought it in again. This time, I was told 32 miles in one week is not enough. The dealer suggested me to buy the battery extender and plug in 24/7. I rejected it. Now, I am work working three days a week which means I drive to work every other day for about 8 miles one way. Last week, my RX350 did not start again. Third time, the service consultant at dealer told me that is is very normal for a Lexus. My options are driving more, install battery extender, or install a solar system. I am stuck with this car. I believe it IS A VERY POOR DESIGNED car.

Not impressed with 2021
I just traded 2015Rx to 2021 Rx. Old Rx was more luxurious with beautiful color and interior. New 2021 Rx may have more safety and technology features but does not feel luxurious. It also seems smaller inside. I should have looked at other similar SUVs

Awesome vehicle
We love our new RX-F, we keep our vehicles for a long time, our current Rx is 17 years old (original owners) and running beautifly, giving it to our daughter, The new one is magnificent, well appointed, super seats and the same reliable driveline. the edmunds pricing info was perfect enabled us to quickly negotiate for an even much lower cost!! Also waited til the last 2 days of the month and of the quarter. Made a big difference.
MISTAKE
I just bought my RX 350 F Sport 3 wks ago and i want to return it. i traded in my pick up truck and it was the worst mistake of my life!. i point of me getting rid of my truck was to save on gas, but instead.. this suv guzzles gas! More than what my truck everrr did!!! I'm so disappointed, i will be looking to trade this vehicle for another pick up in the next couple weeks.
Love, Love, Love
I absolutely love this car! I traded in my 2019 RX350 base for this upgraded F-Sport and I am thrilled. The ride is more smooth, amazingly quiet and zippy. The Mark Levinson stereo has a beautiful sound. The sport seats are super comfortable.

Cargo space and spare wheel compartment
For a long version, there is not much more cargo room. Under cargo compartment is useless unlike the hybrid version of same with a second hidden space above spare wheel and below regular cargo space. Door rear view mirrors have been made to small now and that is not good.

Best vehicle I have ever owned
For the price this is a perfect mid size SUV I bought my first new RX350 in 2015 and bought my second one in February. The large screen is perfect and the many safety features and automatic options are great. Auto headlights, high beams, windshield wipers, lane assist, collision warnings, blind spot monitoring and cruise control is perfect. Plenty or acceleration and a smooth comfortable ride.
Lexus of the month
that is is expensive but it is a great car to buy

It’s smooth driving and built for family and safety Thanks Mario P
AFTER 16 YEARS WE HAVE A NEW RX
Purchased an new RX350 on 12/21/2020. Have been looking but the right color exterior and interior could not be found, until 1219/2021. Its great we love it.
No Acceleration, outdated technology, over priced
Lexus RX 350 isn’t a luxury car it is an over priced Toyota Highlander with nothing extra . If you order the luxury package cost $62000.00 mor than BMW X5 There is absolutely no comparison between a Toyota to a BMW X5 . BMW has so much class and is a great car with a lot of power, German engineering and they treat customers with full respect. At BMW, they know that they are selling luxury car , so the luxury comes as standard feature . By the way, they are up to date with technology. They are a head of time. I would never buy another Lexus and never recommend anyone to buy Lexus .

Fifth Lexus
Very comfortable and smooth. I smile everytime I get into this car. Obsidian shines like crazy.
Cheap luxury
I really wanted to love this car, but it really felt like driving a Toyota. Coming off of a Mercedes E350, I think I was spoiled by what a luxury car should feel like. Nothing that luxurious about the Lexus although it’s easy and pleasant enough to drive. The navigation screen is too small to be of much use and fingerprints show up easily. The door sounds tinny went it shuts. Not as tight in the turns as I would hope at this price and the engine on this RX 350 lacks low end get up and go. perhaps the higher end version is better, but Overall, not enough luxury to keep me with this brand.
