ES 350 - Best car, Best value
We've had this car for two months and 1500 miles. The seats are very comfortable (I'm 6'1" 250). The ride is silky smooth and very quite. We love the navigation system, and contrary to what "CarMan" wrote, it does give turn by turn voice directions, voice and visual traffic info, and even severe weather info. The only issue with the navi is that you cannot adjust some of its functions while moving. Other than this very minor navi inconvenience the car is perfect for us. It gives great gas mileage even though it is powerful and quick. The fit and finish both inside and out is exceptionally luxurious. We love this car! If you're considering buying one, you won't be disappointed.
The seats are soooo comfortable! Goodbye Rav4.
I just traded my 2013 Rav4 XLE for this 2010 Lexus ES 350. The comfort of the Lexus is night and day. The Rav4 had rock hard seats (tilted at an odd forward angle) and a punishing, rough ride. My back could not take it any more. But the Lexus ES350 seats are soft like a recliner and I like the cold air hitting my back side in this TN heat. Also it drives so very smooth and quiet. I don't regret it for a second!!

Just what we were looking for!
We had been shopping around for our new family sedan for a long time. Eventually, no other options came close to the ES350 in terms of style, build quality, luxury, comfort, value, and fuel economy. I actually disagree with comments about this not being a "sporty" car: I have driven many "sporty" sedans, and I find the ES350 to be perfectly adequate and entertaining at legal speeds on a typical US public road: it is safe, predictable and agile enough to please its driver. And 30 m.p.g. are very easy to get in normal driving, very impressive! We have seen 31 mpg. tank average (real) during its first road trip (less than 1,000 miles on the odometer).
AWESOME RIDE
I just purchased the 2010 es as a surprise 50th birthday present for my wife and she loves it. She had a 2007 es and like a dummy I traded it in for a Challenger srt 8 in may of 09 and that was a big mistake. But I did give her my 2008 ls 460 when I did that but she really liked the es so I surprised her with another one. The car is great and we are very pleased and I will not purchase another brand of car anymore! I added the premium wheels, side door molding and window tint and I got every option I could get one it's loaded and it looks awesome. I can't say enough about this car we love it.

My ES350 experience
After 7 mos. ownership I have to say this is the best auto purchase I've ever made. Have not had even one small item of complaint. The car was delivered in pristine condition and has been an absolute joy to own and drive. A recent trip of 620 miles in one day averaged 31.4 mpg @ 70+ mph. Extremely quiet and pleasant interior. Rear leg and headroom is not overly generous, BUT. Love the satellite radio, heated and cooled seats, beautiful paint job, and quality construction; No, I don't work for Lexus.
Great car...
I bought mine as aCPO with 29000 miles. It has been a great car and I plan to keep it for awhile. I now have 106,000 and I still love it. Runs as smooth as the day I bought it. Paint and interior still looks great.

Outstanding Vehicle
Smooth, Quiet, comfortable and powerful. Loaded with hi-tech useful features. The new enform system is outrageous. No longer have to struggle setting the Nav system. Push a button and tell the attendant where you want to go and presto it's set. Mark Levinson stereo system is amazing, you have to hear it. Many previous options like XM radio and rain sensing wipers are now standard. Features are too numerous to mention here. The car is just a pleasure to drive, sit back and watch the miles disappear and arrive refreshed. We are enjoying the quality experience this automobile offers. Very reliable, this is my 3rd ES in the last 10 years. I have yet to bring one in for anything but reg. service.
What a ride!
I drove the Hyundai Genesis (alleged Lexus killer) was disappointed with ride not even close to the Lexus. Tried the Nissan Maxima which this car replaced, nice car but that single speed tranny was very strange. Also tried the Infiniti G37, a good performer and quiet ride but it can't touch the Lexus ES350. Get the nav with the back up camera, the rear deck lid sits high and the camera will really help when backing up. When you're test driving it just take note and compare it against any other car you're considering. Then the choice will be easy. You'll pick the Lexus ES350. Great car!
Grat Car!!
I bought this car 3.5 yrs ago. I drove SUVs for years before deciding on this car. Best car ever owned. I had warranty coverage on it and never had to used it. I only sold it because I needed a SUV for winter driving in Minnesota.

Lexus is our choice
We researched several automobiles since coming off our lease for a 525 BMW. The 525 was nice but the dealership wasn't great. We wanted something similar to the BMW but did not want to be in the $50k category. We looked at the La Crosse (impressive) and the Ford Taurus (equally impressive. Both terrific cars with all the bells and whistles but the Lexus appeared to be the industry standard for luxury, comfort and performance. Dealership is also over-the-top for service (I bought and RX there)and sales. Helped me get out of my lease early too!
Great Car
I just traded in my 07 ES for the ES 2010 and I have to admit it is much better the the 07. The new chrome on the bottom door panal really changes the look of the car. This car is "SILKY SMOOTH" and has great power. I am 6'5" and 250 pounds and I am very comfortable behind the wheel or in the passengers seat! Needless to say I am very pleased I got the 2010 model and I have no regrets. The Nav. system and casual speech is wonderful! Just say I'm to hot and it lowers the temperature 4 degrees. Wow, oops I meant to say WOW! I have received more compliments on this car than any car I have ever owned.
High end luxury; low end price
After driving SUVs (Sequoia, Cayenne) for the last 8 yrs, I switched to this sedan. The comfort level and ride quality is amazing for a car at this price level. I've only had it for 300 miles now (17 at delivery), but love it so far. The V6 has more than enough power for any driving situation; smooth & quiet throughout. The Levinson audio and panoramic roof are very nice "higher end" touches. Camry frame etc, but all the great luxury features of most Lexus vehicles. Compared to what I had, the gas mileage is great for this car; averaging over 20 mpg in roughly 60/40 (city/hwy) driving. Buying experience was "OK"; but am happy w/ the car itself.
Great Highway Car
We wanted a reliable, quiet luxury car at an affordable price, and that's exactly what we got. For the price, the degree of luxury and smooth, quiet ride really makes road trips a pleasure, and there's lots and lots of space for passengers and cargo. The big positive surprise is the gas mileage! We are now averaging 31 MPG on the highway, and about 23 mpg overall. No doubt this is improved by 1 or 2 mpg simply because of the excellent variety of displays, which make you aware of the mpg you are getting. The trade-off is disappointing handling. There is plenty of pickup and stopping power for us, but the steering and lateral feel are average at best, and visibility is average minus.
8 out 10 grade on 2010 Lexus
Have a 2005...wanted to upgrade to a 2010 because it has usb aux connection and it had low mileage...brought it with 86,362 miles...drove it to Las Vegas...left Cali on a full tank and only used a half tank...same returned to Cali...milage banked at 90,135....seats are comfy....air is cold...music sound is banging overall grade 8 out of 10...that's just my opinion

Very Satisfied....Great Car
This is our first Lexus. Very impressed with the ride (very comfortable). If you are looking for a plush ride, this car is probably the best in its class (especially for the $). Looked at the CTS, MKZ, G37...which were all nice, however, was sold on the smooth ride and space (we have two kids...plenty of space for the 4 of us). 3.5L at 280+ HP is more than enough power without sacrificing gas mileage. Love the 2010 changes too (rims, chrome rocker trim, side mirror directionals).Classy car in and out. The Navigation is worth the extra $. Much more convenient with the voice activated commands and Blue Tooth (phone). Best Leather interior we have seen (very soft and plush).Love driving this car!
car for life
I'm an 80+ male who has had BMWs, a Fiat Spyder, F85 Cutlass convertible among many others. You can see where I'm going with this. Bought new, only 30,000 in ten yrs. Handles competently, ride smooth/soft, braking adequate. Acceleration about 7 sec 0-60 fast enuf for me. The only thing that broke was an under-dash speaker associated with the GPS. Only other costs, insurance, gas, oil, battery, and tires. Still looks good and will probably drive it till one of us dies.
Great
Never get a Lexus because once you have one you will never want anything else!

Better Than My RAV4!
Awesome ride and so comfortable. Everything is easy to use and practical. I can't imagine a car driving any nicer than my new Lexus ES.
Best of the Bunch
I had looked and test drove many cars before buying my Lexus. It is so comfortable in the driver's seat that I wish I can bring it into my TV room. The ride is quiet; one can hardly heard the road sounds. Performance is outstanding and the structure itself seems very secure. I was looking uppermost for safety, quality and performance and received all three. My only disappointments are that the trunk design and inside compartments in my previous car, 2004 Toyota Solara were superior. Outside of that, I love my Lexus and I have received many compliments on the color, Cashmere Satin.
Beautiful Auto
It's only been a few days so this is an early review. My last car was a Mazda Miata, which was a fun car to drive. So this was a big step up in the Luxury and comfort department. This car has a really nice smooth quite ride. Handles well, better then I expected from 2009 reviews. Fit and finish outstanding. High quality materials inside and out. Leather seats nice and soft and comfortable, wood and dash all of high quality. Nothing looks or feels cheap. This is my first Lexus and won't be my last.
ES2010: Very good so far
After I owned the vehicle for 5 months, it has 24.5 miles/gl for both city and highway which is very good for 270+hp vehicle. I don't know why people complained about it. I bought this vehicle for #1 safety priority. I hate when drivers follow me too closely when I drove Honda. Now, I can see people keep some distance behind me. I hope the Lexus symbol gives them a second thoughts. My 3 yrs daughter walks freely in the back compare to IS too tight. I gave up fun to drive for safety vehicle. I guess I am too young to drive this vehicle.
2010 ES350
Traded in 09 Highlander Hybrid due to poor mpg, hard ride, poor driver interior space, and trans "braking" function useless when in the mountains needing lower gearing for down hill. Cold weather, elevation, 10% ethanol gas lowered the Highlander Hybrid mpg to 19 mpg city and low 20's highway. Looked at Venza, Camry, Crosstour, C300, E350. Nothing could beat the ES350 in overall driving experience and quality for the price. Lexus customer sales service in purchase of the ES350 beat everyone! Getting 29 mpg on interstate at 75-80 mph! Getting 23+ mpg driving in city! Beats the Highlander Hybrid mpg! Highlander Hybrid Limited interior appears cheap compared to ES350 interior.
Luxury car at middle class price
I leased this car last week after trading in my 2005 Honda Pilot. Needless to say it's like going from cattle class to first class on an airplane. This vehicle has many of the features of the LS (Lexus flagship model) at less than 1/2 the price. Acceleration is competent but the front wheel drive reminds you this is not German engineering. Interior creature comforts abound, seats are comfortable (heated & cooled), sound system is good, features like bluetooth, Navi, etc. are easy to use and intuitive - unlike many vehicles today. Noise is minimal, ride is soft, feedback is not great - steering is a bit soft. Overall good family car if you're looking for excellent service and low main.
Don't hesitate to buy
After 6 months of researching for a vehicle for my wife, I decided to buy the es350. Trust me Gent's i did the research. When it comes to class, comfort, dependability and quality this was the car. We looked at BMW, Buick, Infiniti, Acura, etc, etc. I do not have one buyers remorse on this purchase!
what a wonderful surprise
This car is a very smooth ride which I am not accustomed to. I thought my bmw rode well until I experienced the lex. Will always buy a lex. No other car for me. The only complaint is the stereo system is not as strong as the bmw. The driving experience is wonderful. BMW WHO????
Radio is horrible
I like the car except for the radio it fade out and even becomes static, they know about the problem but wont do anything. The antenna is in the back window and you cant tint the windows because they told me the radio will even work worst and they try to sell you extras. So beware if you like the radio it won't work so well
Wow, I love it!
I am in the car business, so I tried every make and model that competes with the es. I just took it out for a "night drive" and I love it. There is a lot of power and the adaptive headlight feature is awesome. It's worth the extra money to drive this car. It is smoother and nicer than any other car in it's class. The test drive was ok. But driving it and owning it is awesome. Not a sport car. But the luxury car to beat all other luxury cars.
Great automobile
The car has really impressed me. It has a smooth ride. It feels like you are riding on air. Very comfortable. Interior finishes are of great quality. Engine acceleration is smooth and quick. Tons of Standard features. Plenty of rear seat space for my 5'9" Daughter.
Dependable
In 10 years I haven’t had an issue with this car. It drives the same as the 1st day I bought it. Transmission fluid hasn’t been changed because it’s a sealed unit, however it should be done either by your mechanic or the dealer, I haven’t has an issue.

Great ride
Unbelievably smooth ride. Feels like I'm in an easy chair. Very comfortable. Quiet ride. Great fit and finish. no major complaints. Also I must complement the dealership for their excellent service and attention to detail.
Even Better Than the Last One
I returned a leased 2007 ES-350 with a leased 2010 on 11-04-09. I've driven it 600 miles as of this writing. The 2010 retains all the qualities of the 2007, but adds more. There are only minor exterior cosmetic changes, but they add to the look of the car. A better quality wood and judicious use of chrome have refined the interior appearance. The car rides pretty much the same as the 2007. Although no significant change has been made to the drivetrain, seems to accelerate much faster when you "punch" it.
ES - Good Purchase
I've only had the car a week; however, I'm enjoying the quietness of the drive, navigation system, and comfort of the seating. I would suggest buying the ES-350 for those people wanting a little more luxury than a Camry (without the big sticker price).
Out-of-Date GPS Data
The GPS data is either out-of-date (about 20 year) or incomplete. The dealer didn't advise me when I purchased the car neither did the salesperson told me how to get the up- to-date data.

Lexus are stunning machines worth every penny. At present I have an ES 350 and a RX 330. They all drive like a dream. They are the best!

Awesome
The changes from 2009 to 2010 are very significant. The side molding, shape of the front grille & headlights, tail lights wrapping around further, Lexus Enform, and build in Satellite radio are just a few. The vehicle is perfection in motion, and bank vault quiet. Fast but not race car handling around corners. In fact, I do feel a little body roll, which is disappointing. But a joy to ride in. Compliments from many strangers.
Brakes do not work
Brakes did not work. Was traveling at 10 mph , braked at a light and went into the car in front of me. The brakes DID NOT connect. Hitting the car in front stopped my car Lexus said it was Not their fault BE CAREFUL! Anyone have similar problem?

Great car but
I love the car and especially the electronic key system. However, I would likely not purchase another Lexus unless two things are changed. First, to lock the doors, you simply push the button on the door, which is easy to forget if you're in a hurry. The doors need to lock automatically after 30 sec-2 min., determined by the customer. It's far too easy to leave the car unlocked. Second problem is the very inadequate GPS. I have a $200 Garmin GPS for use in rental cars when I travel. It speaks street names for turns and gives traffic info (features found in various brands for years). The Lexus GPS has neither of these or other advanced features. Lexus needs to fix these problems.
Navigation Audio
1200 miles is not enough for an accurate rating, but a couple of items really irk me. First being the destination cannot be changed while driving unless you pull over or call the enform service that will COST you $250 bucks after the first year. Second is the audio. Lexus says for safety reasons you are blocked out of scrolling for artist on the IPOD, USB and CDs. However can you can scroll tracks, select from over 200 satellite channels and have full use of a Blue tooth capable portable player. What's that all about? It should be all or nothing. And if it is nothing they will be at a competitive disadvantage. Lexus needs to have a consumer focus group on this one.
I Hate The Expresso Woodgrain
This car drives like a dream. The exterior color, matador red mica is awesome. I get compliments all the time. However, the interior is another story. I chose black leather because I thought that the ivory interior would be too hard to maintain. The black leather only comes with the espresso wood grain and not the brown walnut, which is dark and along with the dark leather is visually unappealing. The espresso wood grain should not have included in the first place. What were they thinking? In addition, I don't understand why a remote start is not an option. I am satisfied with everything about this car other than the two concerns mentioned above. Pan to change wood grain. Cost: $3500.00
Great value in a near luxury sedan
This is my third Lexus. My preference would have been a GS350 but I decided on the ES350 because of the cost. I am not disappointed with my decision. Although some of the interior appointments are inferior to the GS (like the door panels) the overall interior is very good. The car is very quiet and the ride and handling are excellent for my usage. Compared to my ten year old GS, the electronics are a bit overwhelming at first but after about a week, I feel comfortable with the controls. There is an overall feeling of refinement which dominates the driving experience. I feel the ES is the best value in the Lexus line. I had the optional body side moldings installed.
Fits my style like a glove
I don't drive for the thrill of it so a couch on wheels feel is what I wanted and got. I don't want to feel or hear the road, and this car does that perfectly. It's such a great car, but my only regret is that it should have it's own unique exterior look. The Lexus dealership experience is like going to first class from coach class.
Toyota Product Fans
We have always had a Toyota product and never had any problems. This is my first Lexus and I absolutely love it and so does everyone in my family and our friends. The Lexus had a more solid, heavier feel than the Infiniti that seemed somewhat lighter and hollow. The Lexus has a classier/rich look.
Lexus is the Bestus
I drove this car off the lot brand new, as the 4th new Lexus that I have owned. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS PERFECT and in case you have a problem the service dept is likewise the best.
Best value for the money
The 2010 Lexus ES 350 is the best car I have ever owned. I am 70 years young and have owned several cars. The Lexus has been trouble free. The dealership (Lexus of Merrillville) made the buying experience a breeze and has continued to make me feel like a valued customer since I took delivery. My next car will be another Lexus.

Just purchased 2010 ES350
My wife and I have owned several Lexus vehicles over the years, but this is our first ES. Having owned an IS F, I was going to give our ES a lower number when it came to "Fun to Drive". Then I thought it all depends on how you define fun. The F is much quicker, but you really feel the road and realistically, forget about having any adults in the back seat for long drives. The ES, although not as fast, is so much quieter, smoother and comfortable to drive. Does this mean we're getting old :)
First and Best
This is my first Lexus. I bought it as my retirement car after a lot of research. It lives up to all my expectations. It is classically stylish on the exterior with the most beautiful paint job I have ever seen on any car. The interior is a visual pleasure and comfortable. Love the navigation system plus the voice command is efficient and simple to use. Thus far, I cannot find anything to criticize about the vehicle. I look for reasons to just get out and drive it. I am so glad I decided to wait and get the 2010 instead of an end of year bargain on a 2009. The upgrades for the new model year are significant and hardly added any additional cost.
