Great Vehicle
Love this vehicle ...……….EXCEPT …….the Moonroof only opens half way!! Very, very noisy when opened. Do not waste your money on this option. Dealership service departments are not aware of this. Wasted a service appointment to fix what cannot be fixed. Otherwise, everything is perfect! We have 14,000 miles so far, and it is a pleasure to drive.

Almost there
I loved the look of the Kia Telluride but the drive didnt feel really planted. Also dealers are adding around a $4450 dealer charge on top because they are popular and I would have to take whatever comes in as one guy who picked options T that dealership is still waiting after 11 months. I ended up buying a top rung 2 year old Ford Explorer instead amd am very happy with it.
Kia hits a home run
Looks great and you cannot beat this car for all the tech and comfort it has .

Trying to Buy
Test drove the new Telluride. I like the overall package and look of the vehicle. The S trim seems to have some unnecessary features- like who wants their car to shutoff at every time they are at a red light? I priced the vehicle at 2 central Florida dealerships and apparently they think pretty highly of the car. It is moving/selling fast. But it's too early to know if there are any major issues with it. They are trying to sell it at 5-7K OVER the MSRP window sticker price. It may look like a Range Rover but it isn't- it's still a Kia.

Awesome & Incredible!
Totally awesome at any price! An incredible value! I did extensive research and all signs pointed to the Telluride. We drove the Hyundai Palisade and enjoyed everything with the exception of the front passenger seat, which my wife found to be uncomfortable. The Telluride was much more to her liking. We opted for the S model. It has a power drivers seat, a requirement. It also has 20 inch shells which really pop! We also found a demo with 2200 miles at a nice discount! Winner! Driving home at 60 miles per hour we got 36 MPG. Looking forward to years of driving pleasure.

Don’t believe the hype !!
This is just an OK car, similar to Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and Ford Explorer. Acceleration below average, brakes mushy and noise from the chassis, overall it is an ok car nothing exceptional like KIA think of it. There is no much hype about this car, KIA dealers charging thousands of dollars above MSRP which is ridiculous, at the end of the day it is still a KIA for god sake. Good luck trying to get a good deal on this car, expect to pay thousands above MSRP!!!

Great Family Ride
The space, features and style of this car can not be matched at this price point. And we always get strangers asking about the car and if we like it. My kids love it and my wife loves it.

Fine
Other shoppers should know they want this car and are willing to pay the price. This is my 5th KIA. 3 Sorrentos and 1 Sedona. Loved the Sorrentos; couldn't wait to get rid of the Sedona! Number 5 is the Telluride; looking forward to driving it! At least until it is paid for. Who knows what will happen then!

These prices lie
Don't believe any of these shiny lease offers. Spent 3hrs at the dealership just to find out they mark their prices up over $10,000 & the cheapest lease option $747 a month! It drives beautifully though! Super bummed dealerships aren't offering these prices.

Great SUV
We have had the Telluride for one year and still love it. We had a Tahoe before so we were a little concerned if the Teleride would be compairable in room to the Tahoe. We were pleasantly surprized, there is more room behind the back seat than the 09 Tahoe had. The problem I have is that it is easy to go over the speed limit because it is so quiet, the noise between 55 and 80 is not much different.

Overall very happy!
I really fell in love with this Kia the moment I got inside and drove it. I test drove several “similar” SUVs and they didn’t drive as fun or they felt too big inside or I didn’t like the styling near as much. I’ve had it 2yrs now (leased just in case it had issues being a new model or I didn’t love it as much long term. That way I could wipe my hands of it IF needed and any issues would be covered during the leased period). So far- the couple issues I’ve had: the 2nd passenger bucket seat auto fold didn’t work from day 1. Not a huge deal. Hand lever worked just fine. So I took it in during its first oil change and the dealership fixed the issue same day in a few hrs. 2nd- I did find a small tear, at the seam, on the 3rd row seat that is never used. So I’ll have that fixed next time I bring it in for service. Otherwise, so far (knock on wood), I’ve not had a single issue. I do WFH so it’s not driven a ton- but it’s the vehicle we use on all family trips and weekend outings. I love how it drives. I love how it looks. I love the middle bucket seats too so there is space for us, our kiddo, and two bigger dogs and all our stuff! The only “odd” thing I don’t like is how the inside of the doors are hard to keep clean looking. Even when I clean them- they tend to look smeared or dirty still when light hits them. Not sure if it’s the type of material it’s made with? But even my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe cleaned up better! It’s an annoyance cause I tend to be picky about stuff like that. But I’m still really happy with my choice. **Update: once my lease was up I financed my Kia. I’ve owned it a year now. No new Issues. Still love how it drives and looks. It’s held up great with a kid and two large dogs. Has all the room we need for everyone and all our stuff. Plan to keep it for years to come.

Show Stopping Style
I was fortunate enough to be one of the first people in our area to ride around town in style in the 2020 Telluride. I was stopped so many times by people asking to look at and in this very stylish vehicle that has all the safety features you could ask for and technology I have never seen in other luxury vehicles. The heads up display is a standard safety feature and so are all the different camera views; I enjoyed driving my family of four around in this very stylish safe SUV.

Smooth ride
Coming from a car to an SUV was a definite change, but the Telluride is super smooth. I will say I didn’t much care for the bells that go off for various driving features. Also, it would slam on the brakes for me if it thought I was going to rear ended someone. I know how that sounds, but I would be a good car length away so apparently it goes by speed + distance to other car and calculates the impending collision. Anyway, nice suv, definitely recommend.
Beyond my expectations
I've had my base-trim FWD LX for nearly a whole year now, (3,350 miles) and it's hands-down one of my best vehicle buys I've made (well, lease). Base trim, with leather seats, fairly large screen with clear backup camera, the backup sensor to keep you from hitting something behind you, audible warning if your turn signal is on with a vehicle in the blind spot, (also illumination on the side mirror), smooth ride quality, simple do it yourself oil changes, and the fuel economy I've found is better than advertised. Just yesterday (JAN 21 2022) I made a 30 mile round trip on roads with 40 & 50 mph speed limits and averaged 32.9 mpg. Not bad compared to 20 city/26 hwy as Kia reports. It's versatile with easy to change seating. 3rd row seats pop up and down as needed easily, good leg room all around.... Really, THE ONLY negative thing I can say about my '20 Telluride LX is that the middle seat in the 2nd, and also 3rd row really doesn't serve a purpose. I'm 33 years old, 6'1, 185 and sat in both middle seats just out of interest and they suck. Lol Uncomfortable and only suitable for maybe a child 12 or under, but even then, small. I'm still proud to say my 8-seater Telly provides comfortable seating for SIX passengers: driver, shotgun, and left & right side seats 2nd & 3rd row. Middle seats are just a big padded arm rest. I live in Tucson, AZ and went out to Long Beach, CA to get a good deal (only a $1k markup) and this vehicle was well-worth it. Kia hit a home run with the Telluride, as well as with me.

Some things aren’t great
The telluride has many great features & drives nicely but some things are not great. The seats are not ergonomically correct & cause the mid back of the person to slump & the shoulders to be forced to be rolled forward. Also the curve on the seats are so narrow for the persons glutes that it causes discomfort on long drives. The fan control for heat and ac is in a terrible spot. It causes the driver to take their eyes off the road for too long of a time while they fumble to find the up and down buttons for the air. It should have been a twist dial that was easy to locate and use while not taking your eyes off the road. These are two items that Kia needs to rectify asap. Kia please contact me.

Started out great
I bought this car when it first came out, summer 2019. Loved it in the beginning, however after I hit 100k miles disappointment began. Constant oil leaks, kia service department being lack luster, axle needing replaced, light switch for dim to bright went out, and check engine light constantly on. Not to mention several recalls which I should’ve known being the first year out. I think in all honesty the closest kia dealer ruined it for me. I did love my Kia for 3 years but I’m changing to palisade. I had an optima prior to my telluride so I was a huge Kia fan.

35k miles not a single issue
This is the lowest maintenance vehicle I've ever had. It drives like a dream, still smells like a new car after almost 4 years and I have confidence driving it due to its fantastic reliability so far. I see many reviews here complaining about various issues. I feel bad for those owners but my experience has been completely hassle free. Another benefit is it has maintained it's value - I see models like mine selling used with more mileage for the price I bought it for in 2019! Unheard of. Obviously some of that value is down to market conditions, but this is also remains a very desirable SUV. The best description I've heard is it is a range Rover for the middle class. It looks great and the interior is well appointed. The cargo space is ample for all of my hobbies and errands-easily fitting my bikes, snowboards, gear and groceries. It's also received many compliments from passengers on the comfort of the 2nd and 3rd rows. I'm 4 years into owning it and am hopeful she'll last another 6 at least. I couldn't recommend this SUV more. It is a joy to drive and inexpensive to own.

A good vehicle with a few issues
For the most part, I have enjoyed my 2020 Telluride. However, it has one major issue and some minor issues. The major issue is the windshield. I’ve been driving cars on interstates and highways all of my life, that is, for around 50 years (from when I graduated high school until now). In those 50 years, I have never had one crack or chip until I started driving my Telluride in 2020. Since then, I’ve had four chips and three cracks and have had to replace my windshield three times. The first minor issue is that the locational features of the car are off, causing both the car’s own navigation as well as phone app navigations (e.g., Google Maps, Waze) to be a block or more off. The second minor issue that Apple Play periodically malfunctions. The third issue was the Thermostat Heater Control Circuit was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced.

Faulty engine and Kia won’t honor their warranty
Truly wish I could rate it 0 stars. I purchased a 2020 Kia Telluride new. At 87,000 miles I was told my engine was consuming too much oil so I went back for three 1,000 mile oil consumption tests which seemed my engine is consuming too much oil. Despite Kia saying they have an “industry-leading” 100,000 mile warranty, they will not cover and replace my engine. My factory default setting for alerting me of an oil change was set at 10,000 miles HOWEVER the owners manual recommends oil changes at 7,500 miles. So because I got oil changes every 10,000 miles instead of what is in the owners manual they will not honor the warranty. Kia has also been very difficult to work with. My brother also had to have his Kia engine replaced at 82,000 miles. Kia seems to be putting in faulty engines and is finding every way not to honor their warranty. I highly recommend steering clear of Kia and shopping elsewhere.
Do NOT buy a KIA!!!!
We had a 2014 Kia Sorrento for 6 years. The coolant system died, blew hot air constantly. We kept putting coolant in the engine but it sucked it up. The check engine light came on and we took it in to get it looked at. The engine was a goner and our warranty had expired after 4 years. We lost $6K. Then, not sure why, we traded that Sorrento in for a 2020 Telluride. Paid $60,000 plus a $3,500 100K/10 years front to back warranty. We've had it for a year and it had 10K miles when we purchased it. After a year, the car started losing its idle and would die. Then after a couple days the check engine light came on. We stopped driving the car and had to wait 2.5 weeks to have it looked at. We drove it to KIA service and they said the engine was dead. They said they would not pay for it because we hadn't had it serviced since it was purchased. We put 11K miles on the car, mostly highway miles. We also put in 4 quarts of oil on a road trip back in March 2022. The check oil light NEVER came on. The service manager said it only comes on when there is less than a quart of oil. I asked how much oil is in the car and he said just under a quart. I asked why the oil light isn't coming on and he didn't know. I have been driving for 34 years and have owned many cars. I have never once had an engine die on me. This is incredible!! Now what? Get a lawyer and fight it? Better Business Bureau?? This is robbery!!

The Telluride is amazing!
My 2020 Telluride is the best automobile I’ve ever owned; hands down. It’s been free of problems since I purchased it in October 2019. The ride is smooth and responsive, and the power is very adequate. Its interior is luxurious, and loaded with technology. I’ve owned Audi’s, BMW’s, Infinity’s, and Range Rover’s in the past.

Engine issue / Customer Service - Be careful
I am an original owner of 2020 Kia Telluride. We have been very please with the vehicle until 2 months ago. With only 50K miles, the engine started cylinders would crank up and down for no mechanical reason and within a week or two after the engine died. With some diagnostic charges that I have to pay, Kia has agreed to replace the engine. However, it has been 2 months, and numerous calls from me to their custmer service, and subsequent case escalation, Kia response is still the engine is on backorder and we cannot give you an ETA, To me it is unimaginable that one of the fastest growing auto firms cannot escalate and give me an ETA on the engine replacement. This is customer service at its poorest. So, I would take this into consideration.
Comfy and Spacious
Upgraded from a Sorrento and love it!
