Good commuter car

I've had the 2020 Soul S for 5 weeks and 2500 miles, and I've had 0 problems with it. My average gas milage has been around 33-34, even when driving around in Southern California (traffic jams!) for two weekends. The AC works well, and is blasting cold air within 2 minutes, even in the Las Vegas heat. The seats are comfortable. It's obviously not a sports car, but it goes up mountain roads at 70 mph without trouble. The entertainment system works well with my Android phone, including navigation. The safety features are worth the upgrade from the LX to the S trim. I considered moving up to the EX trim, but it did not add any must-have features for me.

Bought wife new red 2020 Kia Soul GT for our 50th wedding anniversary. First new car since buying Mercury Marquee in 2007 (Which we still have,I drive this big boat) She loves the Kia and drove it from Pa to Va the other day. Was not fatigued from long drive. “The seat cradles your body” Loves all the storage room in back with seats down. Loves the maps feature using in iPhone with dash monitor. Apple AirPlay another + Also back up camera impresses her. Loves the handling and tight steering, firm braking sure footed feeling.

I disagree with the the statement about the road noise is not good in this car. I been in far more expensive vehicles with more road Noise then this car. This car is far superior than a Nissan versa by 1000%. I am 6’1 over 200 lbs. I am a big guy and I fit good and comfortable in the 2020 Kia Soul. I traded in my Nissan for it. I do not care what anyone says the Kia has more room in it then the Nissan does and the Kia rides so much better. The road noise is far less the my Nissan ever could wish to be. My new Kia can keep up with traffic. From stat the Kia can reach the speed limit a lot faster then the Nissan. Kia has so much more tech the my Nissan did as well. So far the Kia Soul it performs in outmatches Nissan versa by afar. Looking at the outside you would not think you would have much room inside but it might surprise you. It surprised us. If you are on the fence go and take one out for a drive.

2020 Kia Soul Delivers Exactly What You Need!

2020 Kia Soul LX 4dr Wagon (2.0L 4cyl CVT)

Choose your trim level to suit your budget and taste. Whatever you choose, you'll get a solid performer you'll quickly fall in love with. No question about it. We traded in a 2013 Base Trim Soul with manual transmission for the 2020 LX with the IVT transmission. One of us was tired of so much shifting. We also switched colors from Shadow to Snow White Pearl. What didn't change was our enjoyment of the Soul. The 2020 has more power and is slightly, but not noticeably bigger. The design is more refined, but it still shouts KIA Soul to anyone who sees it. As for the IVT (KIA's version of a CVT), if you didn't know it was a CVT, you probably wouldn't know. No "rubber band effect." No "droning." Instead, you get 8 fixed ratios that emulate a normal automatic transmission anytime you use more than a light throttle. Switch to Sport mode and it's even more normal feeling. You can even select individual ratios from the Drive position for things like descending hills or to feel like you're even more in control. Seats are way better than our Gen 1 2013 model, with good bolsters, etc. The new touch screen works beautifully with Apple Car Play or Android Auto, but you do have to plug in your phone with a USB cable. No problem. Performance? Plenty. Even on short freeway on-ramps, half throttle will let you reach traffic speed for merging without strain. Passing? Downshifts are smart and make the most of the IVT's 8 fixed ratios. No problem. If you're heavy on the throttle, the engine makes a rorty, satisfying noise, too, so your friends will be impressed. And speaking of friends, they'll be very comfy in the back seat of the 2020 Soul, with loads of leg and head room. No friends? Then, fold down the back seats and you'll have a spacious cargo area for all your junk. Even with the seats up, there's room back there for all the suitcases you need to take on your road trip. This is our second Soul, and we hope they're still making Souls when this one hits its 5-year, 60,000 mile warranty point. If not, then we'll keep it through the 10-year, 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Want an affordable car you're sure to love? Check out the 2020 KIA Soul at your local dealer, but bring your information and your trade-in with you, because you're going to want to drive away in one. Guaranteed. Whether you get a base LX like ours or the maxed-out GT-Line Turbo trim, your Soul will soon be a well-loved part of your family!

Wow, I am a 60 year old car guy and never ever thought I would own a Kia. Take a look at the Kia's overall quality rating lately, it beats them all. This new 3rd generation 2020 Kia Soul GT is the Bomb. Kia got this one right. I use mine as a daily driver mostly city driving with some highway driving thrown in. Good acceleration, quiet ride & sporty handling. It has plenty of pep with excellent gas mileage and is fun to drive. Interior has a nice finish out, controls are easy to find and it is very roomy for a car this size. Huffiness Kia in Denton, a family friendly dealer, was easy to work with and treated me well.
