This was my second jeep but my first new vehicle ever. It was a great Jeep I did lift it and added off road mods. Mine was a manual and it did great in the snow and off road. Even with 35s I got 18 mpg in town and 25 mpg on highway, but that's me. Not everyone has the skills to sip gas. I grew up driving a manual CJ7. So anyways I hate the back seat and the stupid tiny doors back there. If I get a jeep again it will be a 2 door. The freedom top leaks if snow is left on it to melt. But that's about it. Other than that I loved this jeep. I can't believe I let her go. But it was time I made her a off road beast and was not taking her out enough. With all the mods she was not fun to drive on the road. Long distance sucked. It's a Jeep they are not for everyone. It is a lifestyle or a way of life that I love and will miss but I can always go back. I took great care of mine and it never gave me trouble. The cabin fan was getting a little loose but other than that it was great.

2012 Second Owner Wrangler 2 Door Sport 6 Speed.

In 2023 I purchased my Wrangler Sport from Carvana with 30,000 original miles. Carvana sent me a Jeep with completely worn out brakes, front end misalignment, and worn front tires. I badgered Carvana who eventually got it fixed under warranty at the local Jeep dealer. It's Carfax report stated that it had "no reported accidents". Well I can tell from a slight crease in the left front fender and mismatched finish on the front bumper that it had been hit lightly on the left front side. So much for Carvana and Carfax, both of which are disappointing. Despite those problems I love driving my Wrangler. It is very maneuverable in tight spaces and is very easy to park. It fits in my garage with room to spare. The view from the driver's seat is good except over my left shoulder when merging onto the highway. The roll bar gives you a bit of a blind spot there. The original owners had the 17" Sahara wheels fitted with 32" tires, but they ordered 3.21 axles. This is not numerically high enough gearing for a manual transmission. My Jeep is very hard to drive in traffic when I'm too fast for 1st gear but too slow for second it just doesn't want to pull in second gear. I'm going to change them to proper 3.73 gears this year. The steering is quick on the highway so you have to be mindful of your steering. I'm used to the ride and feel of it because I owned and drove a 2 1/2 Ton Army truck for 12 years. My Wrangler kind of feels like a smaller, faster, and more comfortable Army truck. I like that feel. I bought my Wrangler for "on roading". I live in the mountains where the roads are windy and hilly and it snows a lot. I'm counting on my Wrangler to keep me on the narrow roads in snow just like my Army truck did. I have added Firestone 3 Peak rated snow tires, a 10,000 lb. X-Bull winch, and a Factory radio with Bluetooth and Garmin navigation. The bottom line is that if my Wrangler holds up I'll continue to love it. I just have to remember to drive it like a Jeep and not like my Mustang GT. They are worlds apart to drive. One final comment....my Wrangler has the worst gas pedal I've ever experienced in 54 years of driving. Too damn zingy and sensitive to foot pressure. My review isn't meant to sound overly negative. I love my Jeep. It is a blast to drive around town and on the highway. I want to take it off road someday. I hope perspective first time used Wrangler buyers will find my review helpful and realistic. I'm sure the new Jeeps are much improved over my 2012.

Right off the bat not great on gas mileage. But looks of fun. A lot less expensive and not as fancy. But solid ride!!

This is my first vehicle that gas actually met my standards set of a "top notch ride" and I feel in love. I can go off road easily (which I do) and if I'm taking my family out for a nice ride, the children can fall asleep listening to music while I can step on it to get a thrill. Best part is I can talk on my phone without even touching it in my pocket. I love it to death

I sold this vehicle. Only had 55000 miles. Had to do quite a bit of maintenance. Great for off road Terrible for the highway. Seemed underpowered. Electrical problems. Body parts always came loose. Tire wear was excessive. Very uncomfortable when driving on highway.
