9 months and 7923 miles into this experience

THIS IS THE 2024 WGONEER S LAUNCH EDITION – I am now 9 months and 7923 miles into this experience. Here’s my verdict. RELIABILITY: for an out of the gate vehicle outstanding; NO serious issues; a check engine light that freaked me out initially, required a “hard reset” by disconnecting and reconnecting the negative 12V battery cable; NO bricks, NO tows. Some minor stuff handled expertly by the dealership. BUILD QUALITY: very good, tight. Quality, comfortable interior materials. COOL STUFF: lighted seven-slot grill; 19 speaker McIntosh sound system; ambient lighting; integrated screens (no slapped-on laptop); rear wing spoiler > no rear windshield wiper necessary; TECH: intuitive screen functions: SAFETY: outstanding headlamps; adaptive cruise control and lane centering; video camera rear view mirror; excellent audio and 12" screen video lane departure warning system. RIDE: Jeep like, don’t expect a pillow. GET UP AND GO: never knew how awesome 600 HP could be. This baby rocks when it comes to on-ramping in tight traffic, smooth nearly vertical torque. RANGE: calculated range 287 – 316 (but know this – charging any 300-mile average range EV from 20% to 80% yields but 180 miles before recommended recharging. TO IMPROVE: regenerative brakes can be grabby; tires less noise. BUY it again? You bet. Can’t wait to relive the driving experience every day.

Do Not Throw Away Your Money On This Car

BEFORE YOU THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY BUYING THE WAGONEER “S” READ THIS. Let my story be a cautionary tale for you folks. I recently bought a Wagoneer “S” Launch Edition, I have to honestly admit, I didn’t read the reviews the way I should have had. I should have researched more. Like an idiot, I was hung up on the design, the advertised mileage and the 600 horsepower and 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. The 0 percent financing and the $7500 “potential” tax credit were also motivators. I brought mine from Joe Marino in Chicago. The dealership has no experience selling or repairing EVs. During the sale, I had to pull up Jeep posts and they had to talk to corporate to even be able to sell the car. That in itself should have been a warning sign. I guess I am not that bright after all, so I do take blame for my own mistakes, but I hope I can help you not to make the same mistake. Let’s talk about the milage, it is a lie, the brand-new car never charged up more than 257 miles and never even near the 300+ mile they advertise. When I asked my service manager, he laughed and said, “Yeah, that’s if you don’t turn on the radio, air conditioning or the lights!” WTF?! The brand new car should at least on its first charge show the capability and the capacity. He also said, since we live in Chicago, that the car will probably not even break 200 miles during the winter months! So don’t be fooled by the advertised “300+” milage range Once I drove the car off the lot, I had immediate issues with the car, it would not move forward or back when in D or R. While parked, it displayed “Stop Safely, vehicle will shut off soon,” and the app would show my car as being on a charger, when it wasn’t. Air conditioning was not working; the absolute constant Bluetooth kicking the phone off and glitching was unbearable to even listen to a single song from beginning to the end; the grill lights and the fog lights still don’t work. To top it off, this $70K “luxury” car has the most basic door hinges where you must slam the door as if it is a Wrangler. The brakes were not working properly either and the car would roll forward especially at higher speeds on the highway. The dealership made an excuse that literally the day after I bought my car, there was a “new update” that would fix everything. This “rrt” magically happened the day after I bought the car. Even after downloading that, the glitches are still there, the lights still don’t work, the air conditioning still comes and goes, the Bluetooth still glitches, etc. My favorite of all the issues with this car is that this $70K “luxury” car does not come with a front license plate holder, which is unlawful in Chicago, and you have to pay for it out of pocket. OK, I said how much? They told me that it doesn’t matter because it is on back-order with no ETA! It also doesn’t come with a spare tire. To top it all off, when I went to register the car at the DMV, they had no record of a Wagoneer “S”, so I had to pay extra for a full-sized Wagoneer because this car has not been registered with the state! I mean this is the amateur hour! But if none of these have convinced you so far to avoid this car like a plague, this should stop you from investing your money like I did, because this car is not selling. The combination of the high price and bad reviews have stunted its sales. There are dealerships that have been forced to sell the car at a much lower prices, some as low as $58K. That means I am upside down on my investment. Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, will be forced to lower the price just to clear the inventory. This car will have zero resale value. Don’t throw away your money like me. I’m speaking to my attorneys and see what options I have now but this is what I get for trying to buy American. German and Asian cars, hell even Cadillac, is a better investment than the Wagoneer S. There is a reason you are not seeing these cars on the road.

After having the wagoneerS for 2 months and less than 3600 miles complete electronic failure. No answers from Stellantis other than they continue to "work" on my new lease i should make all payments or run risk of default. I have not had my WagoneerS for over 70 days as it sits in service. Customer since 2015. Never again, and I have commented to all my colleagues as I will here...stay away from Jeep products until Stellantis figures out their consumer base. Mike G

Something new to try...

Switching from 2022 Grand Wagoneer Ser3 (which unfortunately got totaled) to a EV was kinda scary but exciting at the same time. Have had the vehicle for about 3 weeks now and actually love it. Interior space and setup remind me of full size Wagoneer minus the 3rd row. 600hp and 0-60 in 3.4s isn't too bad either LOL Have seen a lot of people complaining about vehicle but seriously there are problems with all makes and models. Hopefully I continue to have luck and will enjoy this sleek and stylist wagon with roof open during summer.

White Wagoneer S Launch edition

I have driven my 2024 Wagoneer S over 6,000 miles. Some software glitches at the beginning but nothing that stopped me from enjoying this car. Jeep has corrected all of them with software updates. I find the technology to be very easy to use. Screens do take a little more time than other models but nothing that bothers me. I read all the negative reviews but feel that the reviewers drive the vehicle for a short time. I have had mine for six months and love it. Nothing is perfect but this is a very nice EV. I agree on the pricing. It is not a $72,000 EV but I received a very generous discount when I leased it. Range has been every bit as advertised. Jeep gave me a home charger. You must have a way to charge this vehicle at home to own it. I love not going to gas stations. I have zero range anxiety. Would lease another one for sure. Size is perfect for me.
