Great Jeep
My Jeep has a substantial amount of power, and it has more acceleration than my other previous vehicles. Its compact design makes it easy to fit into parking spots, and has excellent handling on bad roads due to its all-time 4X4. It also offers a smooth ride, and good gas mileage.
Jeep-Head Jack
This is my fourth Jeep. I bought after my 1992 Cherokee Laredo finally gave up the ghost after 396,724 miles. Yes, Virginia, Jeeps DO last more than 30,000 miles. My wife has a 2001 60th Anniversary Edition Cherokee and loves it. Solid, rugged, fun to drive, reliable and popular - that's what has turned me and many of my friends into "Jeep-Heads". My next Jeep will be a Wrangler of some sort.

Great Jeep
A great vehicle. My father bought this Jeep new in late 1993 and sold it to me in 1997. The 4 litre straight six has been a rock. It has the usual "piston slap", but all that I've done in 14 years is a new water pump and fuel pump. I stay ahead on things like the fuel filter and other tune up items. The Jeep has rewarded me handsomely for it. I towed an overloaded 2 axle u-haul trailer across the country and threw a wheel bearing that led to a shredded axle, but that was my own fault. The Jeep still got 13 mpg that trip. I have loaded it with 1000 lbs + too many times to count. It towed my boat like a champ too. I have really abused it over the years but it still cleans up nice
Looks Nice but breaks
Here is what has broken: Transmission, AC evap, AC cond, AC high pressure hose, AC compressor, catalytic converter, water pump, CV boots, rear axle seal, axle bearings, door wiring harness (twice), interior mirror, radio, exhaust manifold, Thottle body warped, fuel tank check valve, front suspension bushings, brake caliper froze on the freeway. I have had the Jeep since new and did all maintance as listed. A friend also has the same Jeep and he has had similar problems. I'm going back to Subaru and Toyota for my cars now!
Money Pit
Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD-LOADED. STAY AWAY. Wife had vehicle since new; maintained to the hilt. Despite great care, list of repairs on this piece of junk too lengthy to list. Most notable lately: tracking bar and other suspension parts ($300), new air conditioning system ($1500), new fuel pump ($500), leaking transmission, faulty wiring, on and on. Last two years: cost over $3,000 (that's half of its current market value). I hate it. Will never buy a Chrysler product. My Toyota has same mileage (115K), and NEVER had a problem. Can't wait to sell this heap of junk and get a 4Runner.
