engine stalls frequently without any kind of warning ( oil pressure light, check engine light etc) due to low oil level was told by Jeep it is typicalfor this engine to burn a quart of oil every 1500-2000 miles. Jeep Refuses to do ANYTHING about this only saying You should check oil more often. So if you dont want to stall going down the highway with a 18 wheeler 2 feet off you rear bumper or get stuck in a busy intersection and get T-Boned stay away from this Vehicle

I traded my 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk in for this. As much as I liked the old one I really have noticed significant improvements with the new one. Transmission is much smoother and the engine seems to have more power even though it is the same size as the 2016 engine. The best improvement is the outside lighting. I can see so much better with the LED lights versus the halogen lights. Overall I really love this car.

car stalls. has horrible breaking power. absolutely no acceleration speed. not worth the money. cute on the outside and leather interior is soft thats about it. its so small almost claustrophobic. the car play and bluetooth randomly decide to not work and just turn off. don't buy this car. mine has 1100 miles on me and has stalled two times WHILE driving? don't think its supposed to do that! Sorry jeep you've really outdone yourself with this one! dealership is no help :) I really feel so unsafe while driving my car. I thought it was just my bad driving skills but after doing research this stalling problem has happened to many other people. NOT SAFE AT ALL.

Excellent ride, bad transmission and worthless war

My 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with 19,000 miles on was great right up until the Power Transfer Unit failed which in turn cause the transmission to catastrophically fail. Jeep is refusing to cover the $13,000 repair bill under warranty. As I was coming to a stop at a rural intersection, i got hung up on a small snow drift. After about 30 minutes of getting in and out of the car while trying all the different 4x4 modes and shoveling, everything exploded. By exploded, I mean I was picking up shrapnel off the ground and transmission fluid was pouring out. This happened while the transmission temp gauge was no higher than 180f. When a person is stuck in the snow, it usually requires spinning the tires a bit, trying to go both forward & reverse, etc. I won't say I was babying the Cherokee, because I wasn't, but I was not revving it up to redline or being overly hard on it. Jeep of course is trying to say its all my fault but as of this moment, they have not released any specific details to me on exactly how it was my fault or what the criteria is for it being my fault. I do know that after buying a brand new $40,000 Jeep vehicle, I wont ever buy an FCA product again. Dont believe the "all weather capable" hype, the photos I have prove that it isn't!

I previously had a Grand Cherokee and liked its features and utility. Decided that the new Cherokee was almost the same size and got better gas mileage. So far I'm very satisfied. The technology is state of the art, the sound system is the bomb, and it drives very solidly and true. Fit and finish are very good too as well as the quality of materials used. I went with the Overland model which has many upgrades along with the tech package option. So far it's a great vehicle for me.
