This is the third XK I have owned. If you have not driven a Jag you have not driven. The XK is hands down the best car I have ever driven. The styling and comfort of the new all aluminum Jag is show stopping. It is stiffer and more substantial than the previous XKs I have owned. If you want a true sports car, I believe this will be the car to own.

* Serviced Mar 2012 - electrical 36,558 miles * Serviced Jan 2012 - shift lever replacement 36,456 miles * Serviced Dec 2011 - battery 36,263 miles * Serviced Jun 2011 - battery 34176 miles In addition to the above service dates, within this mileage period the vehicle was serviced 3 other times for electrical and once for "top vacuum". While the dealer has been great for handling service issues under warranty up to this point, I am out of warranty now 1 month. With 37969 miles the top won't open or close. We will see how they will handle. Bottom line, within a 4K mile period the vehicle had to be serviced no less then 8 times. What more can be said!

A sporty highway car to love like no other!

I bought mine 12 years old - and it still is a thrilling blast to drive. I got it cheap as the suspension bushings were mostly shot, the tires were bad, and there was a problem with the radio cutting out. (After 2 days of driving with radio cuts, it re-booted itself and has been fine ever since.) With $1,300 in new suspension installed by my favorite local mechanic - who loves the car - and new Falken 20 inch tires, the car is a quiet, sophisticated, launch machine for high speed. I had to test it once re-fitted, and got to 140 mph before I said "enough" - rock solid at that speed is saying something for a 2007 convertible w 80k miles. I have had Miatas, Solstice GXPs, Audis, Beemer 3 series, but this car has a special combination of British refinement and brutal V8 power when you work the great transmission correctly. It is not generic nor boring "everywhere" lux sportcar. Its not the most powerful V8 in the class, but the experience is plenty fast and 100% fun. And I get 30 mpg on the highway if baby it, and 19 around town if not gunning it. No major problems and reliable in the first 4 months. The top can be tricky as the battery and program can cause it to act weird - freeze half open, go dead, etc. Once you figure out the system, it is predictable. LOVE THIS CAR!!

Best Jaguar

The Jaguar I purchased has these additional options: luxury package, premium audio package and 20" wheels. I also had the vehicle coated so that waxing never has to be performed. The car performs very well @ 300 hp but I like the gas mileage it can achieve. I have recorded 31 mpg. With fuel costs rising and the desire to own a fantastic looking performance vehicle, is there any other way to go?

XK Coupe at 55,000 miles

A good looking, smooth running, GT car which can dice with the best out there on the back roads. It's quiet when you're cruising, but barks when you thrash it. The normally aspirated engine is adequate for public roads, and with the DSC off, all the power can be safely used for an exhilerating drive, the car cornering flatly and being able to balance under steer and over steer with the throttle. The fuel economy is very good, and the maintenance costs are low. So far, reliability is excellent.
