I purchased this new as a leftover one only available hidden on the dealership lot and bought after short test drive. Great move; just hit 156k and drove to Pa.and back(350mi) on tank of gas. Had timing belt changed at 80k (manuel recommends 60k) probably not necessary,changed a few bulbs , two batteries , and two sets of tires, and about 10 oil changes in 8 years.

We purchased this vehicle new in 1995 and have put 66000 miles on it. Pretty much trouble free, works as advertised, it's not flashy but it gets the job done. Very good off road, a bit high and stiff on paved roads. Terrible gas milage (13-19) even with 5 speed. I love the low range, you can crawl along which is very useful in marginal conditions. Maintenance is good, change the oil and lubricants, spark plugs at 30k miles is a tune up. Engine is OK but not a lot of torque, feels more like a car engine.

Bought it used 10 years ago. Still passes vehicle emissions with flying colors. Change oil regularly and no major problems. Can be noisy on the highway but 12-disc CD changer helps. Great for family camping trips, hunting and fishing. Likely will be my daughters first car in a couple more years. Second Trooper we've owned.
