Traveling in a Tucson
I purchased this car last November. I researched a lot of SUV's before deciding on this one. I am also a previous Hyundai owner. This SUV rides very smooth and is comfortable for long road trips. The interior looks sharp as well as the outside. The two things that it is missing is a latch for the trunk on the inside (it's opened only from the outside) and there are not any lights in the mirrors in the sun visors. I find that to be odd. Every vehicle should have it. The gas is not as good as they report it to be. I have never reached the 29 mpg. The best highway miles I have received was 25.8. The best city miles I have received is 24.6. Overall, it still has better gas mileage than most..... Now 2 yrs later. The quality of the material on the seats are terrible. By looking at my seats, you would think I have small children. They are stained up terribly as if something spilled on all the seats. For the record, I haven't had many people in the back seat. I hope before I trade it in, they come clean. The material is very poor in quality.

Bought a Walking Dead but took off all the Badging
I love this car. I bought the Walking Dead version as the dealer had it on their lot and of course, only the owner can take off badging... so I bought it for far less than the normal price. They never would have sold it with the badging in my market area. I get great gas mileage out of this car. I have exceeded their estimates many times, particularly when I am doing highway driving on a long trip. I can get well over 35 per gallon with consistent highway driving. Car is super comfortable. What I don't understand is why they don't hold their value well. My car is in perfect condition yet, the value seems to be considerably less than I would have thought. I am now updating this review in 2020 and I will highly recommend this vehicle. To this day, the car is still looking and acting like brand new. I look forward to keeping this car for many years to come.

Hyundai owner for life
This car has converted me solely to Hyundai. It's amazing, great gas mileage, I average 28mpg combined. I can't imagine the reviewers saying that it doesn't have get up and go, it does, I fly onto the highway. The car has every feature and then some, great handling. I have fit a wingback chair and a recliner in the back, at the same time, with the seats down- no problem. Excellent car!!

DIY car of the year!!!
Comfort drive for the active DIY enthusiasts. Gave me all the room I needed to bring home my newest projects from paint, plants and large furniture pieces and the gas mileage I needed to get to work. I added the cross bars on the roof racks just in case something didn't fit in the back. You have got to have this.

Stay away from the 2014 Tucson
We love the Hyundai brand this is the third Hyundai we have owned however I would warn consumers to stay away from the 2014 Hyundai Tucson! We purchased the car used and have had no trouble with it in the two years we’ve owned it until the engine failed without warning. We have kept Up on all the maintenance for the vehicle had the recall work done and six months later the engine fails. $10,000 to fix a car worth $11,000.

Lemon
"Engine recall" save all oil change recipes (must be every 30 thousand)get the extended warranty. This engine throws a rod w/ no engine light warning. I only had this car for 1yr and 1/2 used. I can't drive it they won't total it out. Still owe 13.000.
Love the Car
Great handling and ride. My only regret is that I didn't get AWD. Nevertheless, I would definitely buy another one.

Hyundai-Great value, dependability and warranty
This is my second Hyundai. As with my first, a 1999 Elantra station wagon, within the first five years of ownership, absolutely nothing went wrong with the vehicle. I did not have to take either back to the dealer for anything. The only reason we stopped using the Elantra was someone pulled out in front of my son and it was totaled, but my son had very minor injuries. I now also own a 2017 Elantra sedan. In two years and 15,000 miles, nothing has gone wrong with it. I'm going to sell my 2014 Tucson to my son, but only because my wife died.

Nice little vehicle for retiree
The seats are pretty hard. The back worse than the front. Wouldn't want to ride in the back seat for a road trip. Great little grocery getter.

2014 Tucson AWD Limited review
Overall-quite a reliable vehicle. My only concern-seems like rather frequent brake work, and I am not a “brake rider”.

My favorite car ever
I simply love this car. It feels great driving. In fact, I have to fight my husband and son to drive it when we are together. For reviewer that feels it lacks power, do you have ECO on? as this does save gas but slows the punch down. Mine gets exactly the mileage advertised, is easy to park, fun to drive, and I love all the features such as unlocking without touching my keys and the control panel. Also, when the seats are down it has as much cargo room as my husband's truck. Would have bought this earlier if I had known about this car prior.

Look around before you buy
We are in our late 60's and wanted a small suv. Mileage is nowhere close to what is advertised about 21MPG. It is underpowered to the point of being dangerous. If you are driving in any kind of wind, HANG ON TO THE WHEEL! Maybe after someone is killed in one of these Hyundai might listen. This is the worst car I have ever owned and I have owned plenty in my lifetime
Demon child
I'm sure there are plenty of good ones, mine wasn't. I could hardly go a month without something happening to it. Most was exterior stuff that I don't blame the vehicle for(had a deer deflected at me, a little old lady hit my front corner u turning into the parallel parking spot in front of me, ect.) However then the issues became mechanical. I had bought it in Sept 2017. By March the passenger side window switch needed to be replaced. I had it in for a complete service in March 2018 as well. I was doing my part to maintain it. Then just 3 months later, my hubby and I headed out for a night away. Well about 215 km(130-ish miles) and over 2.5 hours from home the engine started making not just a knocking noise but a squealing knock. Had to have it towed back about half way that day and the next day towed the rest of the way back to the dealership. Turns out the bearings were wearing out causing metal shavings in the cam shaft. Thankfully I paid for the top of the line extra warranty I could for it being a used vehicle. Total repair bill was about $13,000 of which I had to pay a little over $1000(Canadian). They had it for about 3.5 weeks. The day I got it back, I drove it 10.5 km and had to have it towed back again. They had forgotten to secure the coolant hose clamp so she was leaking coolant and overheating, risking the damn thing exploding as I was about to hop on a highway. That is nothing to do directly with the vehicle but feel that it is worth mentioning. I may never own another Hyundai but will certainly never go back to that dealership.

Great car but I hate the radio
The Tucson is a nice solid SUV that drives and rides like a sedan. The seats are very comfortable, the A/C works perfectly. We love everything about the car except for the radio, which needs a copilot, especially a very young one, to operate. What ever happened to user friendly? Every new Hyundai I get has a completely new radio design and every one gets harder to use. No pushbutton resets on this one, and there is a small display that is impossible for the driver to see and use while driving. A very unsafe situation if you want to change stations on the highway. I have complained to Hyundai but they don't seem to understand.
