The Accent is on Great Mileage, Reliability, Style

I have 44,000 miles on this 2018 and have not had a single problem. Still original brakes. I'm getting 36 mpg in town, 44 highway. The engineers have tweeked this 1.6 naturally aspirated engine to obtain low end torque so there is decent acceleration from a start. It does run out of steam when pushed and the engine buzzes as a small engine like this can't be expected to do everything. The transmission shifts flawlessly. With the rear seats down, the cargo space is surprisingly good. The handling is much better than expected however the ride while great on a smooth surface, is busy on rough potholed roads. The light color upholstery is two toned and looks richer in my opinion than the more monotone black/grey. For an economy car, this is a great value

If you enjoy getting stuck in wet grass, or enjoy not rolling down your windows because of how cheap the interior components is. Also if you like a laundry list of things that break when its cold.. Liike door handles, cup holders, or interior trimming.

In 2019 my husband and I bought a 2018 Hyundai Accent used with 32,000 miles on it. We’ve had it for almost a year and 1/2 and we just hit 77,000 miles. Within the first 2 weeks we got the car the front left bumper popped out of place. We’ve had the clip replaced 3 times now and it pops right back out after 2 or 3 days. For the past 2 months the A/C has been flickering off and on while we are riding down the road or just sitting with the car crunk up and the air on. I wish we would have been able to get an Elantra bc we really need a bit more space. This car would be ideal for a single parent, a younger driver, or an older person. Definitely not a family car! It does have a little get up and go as long as the AC isn’t turned past 2.
