Took first 9 hour highway road trip and the new 2021 SE Pilot was excellent! Averaged 28 mpg without ECO on. Very comfortable seating. Interior design is great. Thee Adaptive cruise control is a plus. Been driving Honda since 2003 and always get great quality, design and comfort. After 3 years and 60k miles my only regret is not getting the Elite model. Ride is still smooth I think the 9 speed Tran is great. No mechanical issues. Love driving my 2021 Pilot.

Sold my 6 month old Mitsubishi Outlander for Pilot

We needed a 3 row SUV and loved the look of the Outlander. Don’t judge a book by the cover! Most uncomfortable poorly thought out car in 30 years of cars! We took the worst loss in our life on the Outlander to buy a fabulously thought out 3 row family car! I resisted the boring look of the Pilot and was admit that made me an idiot! You can’t cram three car seats in a middle row just because the car looks flashy! However you can EASILY fit an infant seat and 2 forward facing child seats in this Honda Pilot with relative ease. The anchors and tethers are lined up in the perfefect parallel spots (no crossing each other like the Mitsubishi! The middle seat pulls forward and pushes back smooth as butter. There are 15 cup holders! Charging ports for the kids. Cold air con. Pull down shades on the windows. The rear seat is actually confortable for my daughter and I to ride 13 hours! Oh and she’s 5’10 and I’m 5’9! We couldn’t believe the comfort! 7 of us were in the car together for 13 hours and were comfortable as possible in a car for 13 hours. All of our luggage easily fit behind the third row too! It’s like the Tardes in Dr Who. The first seat and navigation is comfortable as well. We all like the integration of the screen. It’s not like an afterthought. The safety features work very well. The Mitsubishi safety features were like driving with an abusive spouse! It would slam on the brakes driving under an underpass, speed up and slow down erratically and wipers even had a mind of their own! The Pilot works well. It does what it should. I feel very safe with the kids in the car. Cruise is perfect. Paddle shifting perfect. Clearance is very good. Everything is good. I have enjoyed this car for almost 3 years. It has the auto liftgate. Leather seats. Sunroof. All the conveniences. We slightly upgraded door speakers and tweeters. Just so we could hear over the kids for the most part. The rear camera is clear and works well. It’s easy to service. Has plenty of nooks for all your needs. Seats recline well. Doors are quiet. Like my big center console. Seats fold nice and flat to resemble a truck bed! I am so happy there is a FREE NO SUBSCRIPTION garage door opening button! Mitsubishi makes you pay and use their app for the garage door you already paid for!!!! Nope!!! The only CONS I’ve ever had are not real big but it’s all that I would change: The auto off fuel saving feature drove me nuts at first-because you have to turn it off every time you get in the car. I miss the parking hold feature I had on my other SUVs. Also miss my automatic windshield wipers. Self closing and opening mirrors is nice but not a necessity. And I wish there was a white or beige leather choice. Black leather is VERY DANGEROUS in Louisiana heat!!! Ouch! I have told my family I do not want another car ever again. This one is the best. But I don’t think the 2024 looks as roomy as mine and watch out for cross crossing seatbelts! Mine is a 2021.
