2021 Honda Pilot
- $33,000-$51,000 (estimated)
- Summer 2020
What to expect

- No significant changes expected for 2021
- Part of the third Pilot generation introduced for 2016
What is the Pilot?
The Honda Pilot is the automaker's largest and most capable SUV. It fits in the midsize three-row crossover category, but it offers slightly more rear-seat room than many rivals. There's plenty of cargo room too, with enough space behind the third row to carry a weekend trip's worth of luggage for every passenger. We're also impressed by the Pilot's fuel-efficient but powerful engine and exceptional ride and seat comfort.
Alas, the Pilot isn't as bulletproof as it was when this generation was introduced in 2016. Since then, new competitors including the Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride and Volkswagen Atlas have debuted, all of which offer more third-row room and cargo room. While notably smaller than these, the Mazda CX-9 is sporty and surprisingly fun to drive. We don't expect the Honda Pilot to change for 2021, though a fully redesigned model might bow next year.
Though not the class leader it once was, the Honda Pilot is still notable for its supreme ride and seat comfort
