Nice and comfy minivan!
1st Honda automobile ever!,traded in my 03 Toyota Sienna CE for a 2007 Odyssey EX-Leather with DVD and we're really satisfied with it.I was just thinking of buying the one with leather seats without dvd and I'm glad I listened to my wife to get the one with rear entertainment.I have two boys that always asked, "ARE WE THERE YET?,so now wherever we go ,we just play cartoon movies and they're just quiet back there. If you have kids, get the one with dvd,it really help.I heard lot of comments about road noise on this van and you know what,I don't know a car out there that you can't hear any road noise, come on! you're on the road,If you don't want to hear any road noise, then don't drive it.
Transmission issue
My car has 19,000 miles on it and I noticed a hesitation when RPMs are around 1500. I could hear it in the engine noise as well. I brought it in to dealer & tech figured it out right away. Said he'd seen several of these. He ordered the part, will drop the transmission and fix it. Or so I hope. I'll soon find out. Everything else about the Odyssey is great. Though I do wish the Touring model came with a third seat in the middle. It is so great to be able to open the doors in bad weather as I'm approaching the car & just plop my smalls and groceries without getting soaked.

DePax and its good
Wife totaled our 05 Chrysler van. She wanted a van with all the bells and whistles. Found a 07 Ody Touring and got it. She loves it now, but it was a little hard riding with the PAX tires. I did internet research prior to purchase and knew about them and the cost. We purchased a depax kit (wheels/rims/sensors), bought a spare tire and the ride is much smoother. Also, had to have the torque converter replaced under the powertrain warranty. Shifts really nice now. If you are having problems with the tranny, check out the service bulletins.
Great gas mileage and very versatile
We bought a 2007 Odyssey EX-L during Honda's annual clearance event in October 2007 and saved about $4K on MSRP. The EX-L has the VCM (variable cylinder management) feature that shuts off up to 3 cylinders when not needed. It is very unnoticeable to all but the most expert drivers and adds up to an average fuel economy over 25 mpg with every tank of gas for our family. We added an Alpine Overhead DVD system for the kids and saved another $1K versus getting the EX-L with factory DVD, besides the Alpine has a bigger screen, "mommy controls" and game playing features that the factory DVD does not have. We added luggage racks and use our Thule Roof Box for cross country trips for added comfort.
Not like my other odyssey
Had a 01 odyssey and loved it, drove it with no problems, the 2007 has not been as good. Had to replace tires, battery and now the torque converter. The paint scratches like crazy(but could be because it is navy blue) The torque converter was under warranty, so hope the problems are now fixed. It is very comfortable, and we enjoy the space but don't know if I would buy another one.
