Toyota Prius driver makes switch to Honda
Purchased exactly 1 year ago and have 13,000 miles. I love this car, the ride is comfortable. The tech and adaptive cruise control made the long trip from Ohio to Clearwater Florida & back amazingly easy. Spring-fall MPG 52-64. Winter in Ohio/WV it’s running 43.5-49. I love the hybrid sound outside the car when driving and backing up. The different driving modes make it enjoyable and adaptable to many different driving styles. I recommend using sport mode when driving through WV mountains. In previous reviews people have talked about the engine noise when getting on the gas pedal. This would be the only thing I can think of that would be considered a minor annoyance if you can even call it that. I have no regrets from jumping from 2016 Prius. Would make the same purchase again. In my opinion the Touring upgrades are worth it.

Fantastic Vehicle
This is a great vehicle all around. Having owned two newer BMW 3-Series over the past 6 years (320 xDrive and 330 xDrive) plus a 2022 Toyota Corolla LE, I would say the Insight Touring definitely leans more toward the Bimmers but with far superior fuel economy. Handling is firm and stable and the ride quality is excellent. Acceleration is more than adequate for a hybrid though not nearly as exhilarating as a 3-series. Fit and finish are very, very good and interior materials are well above par. While some get annoyed by the low speed alien spacecraft hum I think it’s still pretty cool. Headroom is only adequate. At 6’1” I can fit okay but anyone over 6’2” might be touching the headliner front or rear. Fuel economy has been great so far - initially a bit below advertised (was getting right around 43-45 mpg) but since that 1,000 mile break-in I’ve been achieving 50-53 mpg per fill up with an equal mix of city/freeway driving. Overall this is a winner from Honda that seems to be overlooked by a lot of folks for some reason. I had to wait a couple of months before taking possession due to the inventory shortage, but it was more than worth the wait.

16 k miles still average 50 mpg
Love this car in every aspect. Comfortable. Economical. Fun to drive. I average 54 miles a gallon. I challenge myself to see if I can get better mileage every trip. Great build quality and lots of neat gadgets. A++

Best value for a Hybrid
Fit, form and function! Complete package (touring model) includes highest quality for the money available. Too bad they’re so hard to find (radiant red, ivory leather).
