Fits Me Perfectly
I found a local 2010 Fit Sport Auto in February of 2021 with a mere 9K miles on the odometer, literally a needle in a haystack that I could not pass up. A clear CarFax, some service records and a thumbs up from the local Honda dealership inspection sealed the deal. Now with 13K miles, I have enjoyed the Fit as a replacement for my dear departed 2013 Prius I sold with 120K miles. I bought the Fit for in-town errands and occasional long business trips. COVID has limited the long trips thus far, but I believe the Fit stacks up pound for pound with any cars when mileage (33 city + 36 highway), reliability, and usefulness are measured. The driver's seat has proven to be comfortable on longer drives and the Fit handles well, though it can be a bit buzzy, but I knew that going into the purchase. The A/C works well and the auxiliary hookup with my iPod is appreciated. I'm hoping to keep this Fit at least 10-15 years. Update 08/22 = The Fit has passed 27K miles as it has been used for Idaho to Cali business trips. Not the most comfortable or quiet ride ever, but it does the job with great mileage and reliability. Very versatile and roomy to hold my giant mountain bike (with front wheel off). Heading in for a major service soon to change out the fluids.

Great Car, but Tires are a problem
All, although I love my 2010 Fit Sport, there is a serious issue with tire selection, particularly for those that live in snowy areas. Because of all the snow and ice in Maine this year, I decided that I should remove the Dunlop OEM tires, put on higher quality all-season radials. Other than the Dunlop, which is backordered in many cases, a Honda Fit Sport owner only has two options in the 185 55R 16 size: Bridgestone Turanzo El 470 ($140 a tire) or a Bridgestone Potenza ($100 a tire). Neither tire is rated well in wintry conditions. I inquire about snow tires in this size; nobody manufactures them. I asked my dealership if I could put on a different size tire, and they did not recommend it. Neither did they recommend a difference size rim. Please call Honda at (800) 999-1009 to voice your concern about tire selection for the Honda Fit Sport!

Fantastic commuter
In finding a new car to replace my wife's ailing Mercury Sable, we had a unique problem; I'm 5'9" and she's 5'0", so finding a car that we could both fit into comfortably has been challenging. With that, the Honda Fit was one of the few cars both of us could find a comfortable driving position in. So beyond a fantastically designed interior, this car has been a fantastic commuter for me. I drive 80 miles a day round trip on expressways in Michigan, and have managed to get 38 mpg while driving 70 mph. With that, I was worried that the Fit would be twitchy at high speed with such a short wheelbase and quick steering, but it's been an absolute joy on the expressway.
Great reliable basic honda
Bought a 2010 in 2019 from a family members who was going to trade it in for a low trade value of $3000 with 80k. She was happy to sell it to me for that as long as I kept her “pumpkin” running. The ac compressor was aftermarket from 60k not sure why it was replaced from oem but aftermarket bearing squealed so I replaced for the second time. I can go all the recharging of ac system so that didn’t cost too much. All other maintenance has been done by me and is very cheap to do. It’s a basic vtec Honda motor which has no known issues like direct injection motors and the carbon buildup which requires walnut blasting as extra maintenance. Great little 1.5 vtec. Auto trans is easier to service that doing the oil. Very reliable. Very basic feel but gives you confidence in long term reliability. Tpms and airbag light on but not worth the $$$ to fix in my opinion. At 6’3 long trips can be uncomfortable but I try to remember it’s more than 1/2 the $ in gas vs my tundra. Great little in town commuter and love taking it on road trips. Averaging 35 mpg strictly highway trips and low 30’s daily driving it. At 3.50 gallon now I spend maybe $60 a month in gas for it. That nothing these days. The drivetrain is what has given Honda the name and reputation for reliability. In 2015 they went to direct injections and with that comes extra maitenance and issues. I’ve seen these with 300k+. Mine for sure will be taken out earlier than that due to rust I can tell. It’s not bad now but I avenge 7k miles per year and only have 108k now. I know a good thing and these types of cars are far and few these days with all the electronics and turbos systems in cars today finding a cheap reliable car is hard. I will keep this car till I can’t no more. It is a little tank! Since the gas tank is under the front seats all the weight is pretty much forward in the car so winter spin outs are hard. Traction is good with decent tires. The car wants to pull you through and the rear end never wants to spin you around. There’s no weight to the rear. Great space for hauling. It’s boring yes but once you become wise about cars and the money you can waste on fancy options you learn to appreciate the fit for its purpose. Cheap reliable transportation.

Best buy in this price range
This is my 2nd Fit, loved them both - I've noticed a considerable improvement in mileage over my 2008 Fit. After 1600 miles I'm averaging 32 mpg in mixed driving and the mpg is still increasing. I attribute part of this to paying some attention to that annoying but useful mpg bar display in the center driver's console. You WILL get better mileage with a Civic or Corolla sedan, but you won't be able to haul washing machines, large dressers, and find other amazing uses as with the Fit. Great for a single like me with no friends with pick-up trucks or SUVs. It's the best compromise between utility and economy in available US cars today, period.
