Used 2006 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
Very satisfied - quality vehicle
I've had my Accord for about 4 months, and recently returned from a 1200+ mile trip, averaging 35 mpg (mostly highway). There is more than adequate power for me with the 4cyl engine (and use of regular gas is a plus). Even though the drive is on the sporty/stiff side, it's quite comfortable. The interior is tastefully and thoughtfully designed. I feel like I'm in a luxury sports sedan without the luxury price. Not a stand-out car (seems like I'm always passing one on the street), but a solid/reliable vehicle. If only it weren't one of the top stolen vehicles in my city...
Great Commuter Car
I have owned this car for only 5 months, but it has been rock solid and bulletproof. Super gas mileage - several mixed city/highway tank fills have averaged 38 mpg (that's over 500 miles between fill-ups; even allowing for a small reserve). Driver's position and ergonomics are well designed: from the tilt and telescoping steering wheel to the radio/CD and HVAC controls, Honda has successfully executed the interior design of this vehicle in every detail.

Auto makers can take a lesson from Honda
An incredible ride, outstanding fuel enonomy and great performance. Couldn't ask for more ! The Navi system and XM are true frosting on the cake, and with Honda's outstanding resale value I'm convinced this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I did my homework about other models and have no regrets whatsoever. No matter what the weather is (I'm in Great Lake Snow & Ice Country) I've always felt secure on the road with the traction, durability and power to drive in any condition. I just wish the American Auto Makers would take these outstanding features (which obviously American consumers are looking for and need) and implement them in cars whose names we've grown up with.
Not your father's family sedan.
I've only owned the car for a couple of months. Power is plentiful and the V6 makes a wonderful sound above 3500 rpm. The car is eerily quiet at lower rpms, and it has taken me a while to get used to the lack of noise from the engine. The engine and transmission just ooze with smoothness. The suspension is wonderful. You feel every bump exactly once, no more. Certainly not sports-car tight, but neither is it all floaty like my parents' cars. A fantastic compromise between ride and handling. Combined with the six-speed manual, this is a driver's car in the guise of a "boring family sedan". It seats four comfortably and can outaccelerate both the 1986 IROC-Z Camaro and Mustang GT.
Excellent Value
We purchased our 2006 Honda Accord LX SE 5 speed after driving and comparing it to comparably equipped Chevrolet Malibu, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Mazda 6. We found that the Accord compares most favorably overall when compared to the competion. Its ride, handling and performance of the I-VTEC 4cyl is tough to beat, its a very comfortable good handling quiet, fun to drive sedan. Our experience with Honda's has been very positive, our 98 Accord which we still own, has over 90,000 miles and has its original clutch, rear tires and front and rear brake pads. No problems whatsover and it returns around 30mpg in mostly in town driving, we think this 06 model will do even better.
