HONDA'S BEST KEPT SECRET
Honda has really missed the boat on promoting the crosstour. It has been classed with the Toyota Venza and Subaru, but unless you really need the few extra cubic feet of cargo, there is no comparison. This is the nicest road trip vehicle I have ever purchased including 3 bmw's and 2 cadillacs. Trip right out of the box to Florida from Pa and got 28 Mpg and an incredible ride and this is 4wd. If word really got out on this car there wouldn't be any on the lot. Also $34,920 list price went down to $29,900 plus sales tx and title! We decided to look at this car initially because our son's 2009 Accord V6 Coupe has been such an incredible car.
New Crosstour reasons for buying
This will be wife's car.We wanted something that was easy to enter and exit, rode smooth and had an easy access for loading groceries etc. My wife carries several large plastic containers for work and arts and craft supplies. We both have bad backs and I am 6'2" and find it painful to get in and out of most cars. We considered a Honda Coupe for my wife but it is smaller inside than it appears. We did not want an SUV or truck like vehicle. The Crosstour fills our needs very well and is very comfortable and roomy. Everyone thinks it is very expensive when they see the Ivory leather interior. It's an Accord so it will be very reliable.

Love, love, LOVE this car!!!!
You have to see this car in person to see how gorgeous it really is, inside and out. Kudos to the designers for thinking outside of the box and designing a sleek, good looking "crossover" vehicle. The inside fit and finish is luxurious, gorgeous leather, burled wood trim. The controls are simple, easy to read and use. The entire cabin is very spacious, including the back seats - super comfortable and plenty of leg room. The drive is so quiet and ultra smooth - like driving on glass.
Surprisingly good
I had originally planned to buy a CRV but I also drove the Crosstour and was surprised at how nice the car is because it has not received very good ratings from the various industry reviewers. I find it to be comfortable, very smooth, extremely quiet on the highway, and reasonably economical to drive; I have been getting 27-28 MPG in mixed city and highway driving. Many of the reviewer criticisms have related to styling and appearance and those are of course individual choices but to me the car looks very much like a 4DR version of the Accord coupe and I have received many admiring comments about the appearance.
Buy one!
I was considering Accord, Lexus RX, or BMW 3 series. I painstakingly checked reviews on all these cars, still not thinking of the Crosstour because I planned to buy a used car as I've always done. Then I realized I could afford a new CT, and from the test drive I loved it! Not to mention it was the best reviewed of all the cars I checked. It is so quiet I almost forget I'm driving it, but if I want to accelerate and feel the power it's there. Perfect cabin size IMO- we have three small dogs, go on regular roadtrips, and carry around photo gear. This car couldn't be better for our lifestyle. Stylish, comfortable, practical to own, and just plain cool. Great value and feels luxurious!
Beautiful car
This is my first Honda and I'm impressed. This car is gorgeous, and fun to drive, and we are getting 29mpg right off the bat. The fit and finish is exceptional. I drove the caddy srx and the Venza. The srx was a no go for me, and the Venza was $6,000 more comparibly equipped. Plus the Venza interior was simply horrible - the salesman put me in a 4 cylinder to get me anywhere near the price. It's a nice car til you look at the crosstour. Numbers don't lie. This is a fab car for the $$$$ My husband says "Why didn't I get one?" lol.
Cross Country in a Crosstour
All around great car, it is perfect for everything I do. I hate Honda is dropping this model for 2016 because I would sure buy another. This is my 5th Honda and by far my favorite. It does not handle like your typical Accord, it has a sporty feel but a smooth ride.

Great awd car .
Comfortable mid size suv, I regret that Honda discontinued this vehicle, the longer I own it the better I like it, get 22mpg city, 29 mpg highway. I've had zero problems in 30 months of ownership, I would definitely buy another!!!!!

My favorite ride
We bought this Crosstour in 2013 with 34k miles on it. Found it at the Honda dealer by accident and immediately loved the feel of it. The cab literally embraces you. Had a very cozy feel. The acceleration, ride and comfort are what sold me on it. It looks cool too. There were so few of them on the road that we Crosstour drivers would sometimes wave at each other. I guess we felt a certain brotherhood about it. I often drove this car for 11 hours in a day and the seat is marvelous. This was our first AWD car and we'll never go back. Great on snow and ice. We even crossed a creek and climbed out a steep muddy bank with no trouble at all. The one big downside, especially for my wife is the visibility out the back and the blind spots. Had a few close calls changing lanes. A backup camera and blind spot warning technology would solve that. We usually got 28 mpg on the highway @ 79mph with the AC on. By the summer of 2018 we had 146k miles on it and the only repair ever needed on it was a leaking AC coolant line and a faulty tire pressure sensor. A super reliable car! Just traded it for a 2015 Acura RDX which is nice, but not nearly as cool. I'm kind of mourning the loss. Update Feb 2020: Ever since we traded the Crosstour for the Acura, I've gazed longingly at every Crostour that went by (still not that many on the road). We recently totaled the Acura. Thankfully no one was hurt. I immediately started searching for another Crosstour. I found a 2015 with 35k miles and drove the nine hour round trip to pick it up. This one has the EX-L trim package which includes a backup camera, passenger side blind spot warning/camera, lane departure warning and maybe a few other features that I'm not thinking of at the moment. Those safety features sold my wife on it. I've only put about 2k miles on it so far, but I think we'll be happy with it for another 70k miles or more.

Cross Tour- Accord on Steroids!!
Just picked up our 2011 CT EXL, after test driving (3) Subaru's, Legacy, Forester, Outback EXL- which was the best of those three Sub's. Stopped at our local Honda Dealer and took out the CT EXL- Everything about the CT blows the Subaru's away..Fit, finish, ride, all Honda quality.. Owning a Honda is like money in the bank.. they have the highest resale value of any car.. why? because Honda makes one of the best cars in the industry. period.. The CT is a joy to drive, we are looking forward to a long relationship with the our CT. They cost a bit more, but you get what you pay for... Keep up the good work Honda!!
Great Value
Just traded in my 2009 Accord EX-L for a 2011 Crosstour EX. The way the used car market for used Hondas, we were able to get out of our 3 year lease a year early with no problem. We traded for a simple reason. With 2 sedans (our other car is a Civic SI) we had limited ability to carry things like a new TV or grill. We needed something with greater utility, but did not want an SUV. This car is perfect! It is smoother and quieter than the Accord sedan, but drives just as well. Similar gas mileage. It sits just a bit higher, which my wife particularly likes. This is a great car. I would recommend it highly!
Bananas for my Crosstour
I am from a family of Honda owners but this is by far my favorite. I previously owned a Toyota Highlander which was great but it was still an SUV. In my Crosstour I have the luxury of being sporty but still having the height and room of an SUV. Love it even though it was on the top 10 ugliest cars.
THE PERFECT CAR !!!
I love this car it drives sooo smooth !
Engine/gearbox vibration problem
Bought. 2011 crosstour that has travelled135000 kilometres. Great car to drive. I knew it had a vibration in it that came in around 120 KPH. Thought it was a wheel balance problem and sure enough, the vibration disappeared. BUT that vibration was masking another vibration problem that only appears when the engine mode switches to the ECO mode. After doing some research, it turns out that this is an old problem specific to the 3.5 V6 engine. Do an internet search for "honda v6 excess engine vibration in ECO mode" and you can read all about it. This vibration can cause damage to the engine mounts which are fairly expensive to replace. It can also cause damage to the torque converter. I'm reading that you can purchase a kit for about $80 to $100 which prevents the ECO mode initiating, called a VCM tuner. I only know what I've read, it might be my next purchase for the car. So anyone considering a used crosstreck, be aware of this problem and check for this vibration.

I love this car!
I've bought a lot of new cars, but I haven't ever been as excited about one as this. It feels like a much more expensive car. It's fast, quiet, luxurious, head-turning - I could go on and on! I enjoy my drive to work so much now that I actually wish it were longer. I shopped this car against the similarly equipped Subaru Outback (ltd w/moonroof) for a long time, but I think that the value is much better on the Honda Crosstour - it really feels like a lot of car for the money. EX-L/4WD MSRP is about $35k, but I had two quotes for less than $30k. Shop around and get competing price quotes from dealers.
Just a fabulous vehicle
We purchased the crosstour after looking at many other vehicles. It has been a delight to drive and worth every penny. It handles like a ver expensive vehicle with plenty of power and manouverability. I like the look of the vehicle and would higly recommend it to everyone. We live in a mountain valley in central utah and the all wheel drive will be a super safe way to get around during the winter months.
Crosstour for crosstown
This is a great car. Flashes me back to the 1970's era Saab 99 and Saab 900 hatchbacks only size XL. The Minnesota snows have come early and deep this year and the Crosstour has made crosstown travel worry free.
I'd buy another in a minute
My 2011 has 147k miles on it going into year 2020 and is flawless. The gas mileage isn't the greatest - a combo of a 6 cylinder 270hp engine and my driving habits. Great highway car. Love the versatility of the hatchback, especially since I am not an SUV fan. Rides higher than a sedan. I gave 4.5 stars because it took several trips to the dealer to figure out the front end shudder, with both front axles ultimately replaced. Fortunately that was under warranty at 98k miles. I don't need a car this size anymore but I just can't part with it. Long may she live.

Surprisingly Great Value, Fun & Utility
Since 2000, I've bought for my family Lexus GS-400, RX-300, Acura MDX, TL, 2 TSX, BMW X3, 2 Honda Accord, and 2 Toyota RAV-4. After a test drive, it became clear right away that Crosstour is refined, composed, quiet, and has plenty of space for us. The shape is modern and the diamond-white pearl color dresses it like a crouching rabbit ready to take off. My family mentioned that it rides like the Lincoln Towncar we used regularly for our airport service. My wife is now actually anxious to take a long road trip with it! By the way, the BMW 535ix GT has exactly the same dimensions except lower and $30K more. This car is an excellent combination of performance, space, refinement & value.
Crosstour in Palm Beach
The decision to acquire a Crosstour was a big one for me. We were coming off a lease on a 2008 Odyssey EX-L. I was initially looking at a Volvo XC 70 wagon, BMW X6 and Lexus RX 330 (we own a Lexus ES 330). While the Lexus did afford us greater luxury and the Volvo did net more of a car feel, we went Crosstour. Simply put, we managed to laser in on value, ride (little higher than a car), performance and functionality. The Crosstour cleared the others by a mile particularly on price and reliability.
road noise
the crosstour base ex with 17 inch wheels had quite a bit of road noise on I-95 at speed. otherwise best driving crossover i've driven.
Great Car - Wish They Still Made Them
Purchased new, this vehicle has served us very well over the 12 years since. It really loves the highway - need to watch your speed! It has been very well maintained and has returned that investment in continued reliability.

Not an SUV and Not a sedan--best of both really
Well they don't make them anymore. Love it. No issues, Cargo space limited and visibility challenging. Can fit a 10 foot board inside and still close the hatch. not for everyone, but cool people

An Excellent, Albeit Quirky, CUV. Love it!
The quirkiness of this vehicle is also its beauty. I love the styling, from the first one I saw over a year ago. I have had my Crosstour for a bit over one month and can truly say this was a great choice to replace my Volvo XC90. Certainly there is not as much interior cargo space as a traditional SUV, but I don't need that much space for my needs. I wanted something different and yet felt more like driving a car than a truck. The comfort is excellent; engine very quiet with enough response; fit and finish excellent. Not in the same class as the BMW X6 or others in the ultra-premium category, but this really fits the bill for me. Love it so far!
Buyer beware!
2010-2012 V6 Crosstour. Defective piston rings. The cost to replace is about $4200@ dealer. Google Service Bulletin 13-079. Just a matter of time folks before you have to replace. Do your due diligence.
Happy in Melbourne
Waited 3 mos. to write the review in case of problems and there are none. Crosstour styling is fine with me and it rides great and the interior is extremely comfortable. Traded in the hybrid Insight and my back does not hurt anymore on long trips. Car is heavy, but does not drive like a truck, handles very nicely and has above average acceleration. MPG city has been around 20, highway about 26.
Great car, but...
Traded my 2006 Lexus RX 400h hybrid for this 2010 Crosstour, and getting same 23 MPG milage. Wife has 2003 Accord, so all the controls are the same. Comfortable ride, with minor back pain on long trips. Good room for driver and 4 passengers. Noisey but good pickup when entering highway. Fit and finish has some problems, as does "trunk" space. Blind spots, especially out rear window problematic.
Great Honda
Overall, very pleased with the Crosstour. Comfort, build quality, outstanding Navigation system(same as Acura), mileage, functionality, and styling make this a superb vehicle for the price. Some Auto magazines question the styling but as an owner, I love it and continue to get compliments. Honda has a clear winner here.
One fine automobile
This car is a very good value for the money. The interior is nicely finished and very comfortable to be in. The car drives very well and is very good in the snow. The realtime 4WD is seamless and allows for very good milage for the size and weight of the vehicle.
I love this car!
This is a great vehicle! I'm very proud to drive my Crosstour! It looks unique and turns head. It's a great combination between sporty and luxury!!
