No problems here
I bought this car used at 64,000 miles (after owning a Geo Storm and never having any trouble with that vehicle at 120,000 miles) and have had to do nothing but routine maintenance. I'm now at 125,000 and could not ask for a more reliable car. This vehicle really holds up over the long term with little maintenance and a lot of reliability.
Great little car
Bought mine new and have 180,000 miles. Still have original brakes. Had to do the MANDATORY alternator replacement at 100,000. Great car for commuting. Guess I'll buy the Corolla now that Chevy is only offering the Cavalier :-(
Goes on and on ...
I have had this vehicle since it had 25K mi., now 156K and hardly any problems of consequence .. unbelievably reliable, still runs smoothly just a bit less power, it didn't have much get up and go to start with anyway.
Watch for radio
An overall excellent reliable and underappreciated car. The only two weak points are the radio which was replaced twice under warranty (CD/Cassette) and the alternator which went out at 75000. No other repair bills necessary.
Good little car
I bought mine as a salvage vehicle, and I've had to fix a few random things, and it still has some quirks (can't roll up the drivers-side window if you're going above 45mph) but overall it's been good. When I bought it it had 94K on it, now it has 124K. In that time (15 months), I've bought 2 sets of tires, numerous oil changes, two alignments, transmission, starter, alternator, timing belt, replaced all the other belts and hoses, and replaced the distributor and everything that attaches to it. Besides the tranny, the most $$ repair was the distributor.
