I can't see!!
2024 Advance model: I really really like the car, but don't love it. 2 glaring flaws: The rear vision is terrible. The C pillars are bulkiest I have ever seen. The rear spoiler, spoils your rear vision too. The cameras are really good in partially compensating for the minimal rear vision. I am always nervous when backing out of a crowded parking lot. Next, the mileage on a full charge, could/should be higher. I knew this when I bought it, luckily I have a home car charger. I get a lot of positive comments on the car, with people asking what is it and the color: Hanauma mint. My favorite feature is the exclusiveness...Unlike Teslas, you see don't a lot of GV60s on the road. It is a total blast to drive on the open road, when the rear vision is not a big issue.....the warning systems about cars in blind spots, et al is great. Would I buy it again, maybe, but the 2024 Kona EV is really nice, too. Last car was 2019 Kona EV Loved It!!

SUA Alert: Car Accelerates Unexpectedly on Its Own
Initially, I was excited about my new, technology-loaded Genesis GV60 electric vehicle, hoping it would provide efficient and comfortable driving. However, from day one, the car's software began malfunctioning. I encountered multiple misleading diagnostic messages on the driver's display and the central dashboard almost every day, which were often confusing. For instance, one message would state, "Feature not available," without specifying which feature it referred to. Over the first ten months, I had to take the car to the dealership for maintenance five times, and it also had at least four manufacturer recalls. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The situation worsened when the car introduced a critical safety issue that led to a serious accident, ultimately totaling the vehicle. While I was parking the car, it nearly came to a stop when it suddenly accelerated on its own. My foot was firmly on the brake—a standard practice at the end of the parking process—so the unexpected acceleration made it impossible to regain control. This acceleration resulted in a collision with a parking lot sign and a small tree. I quickly tried to steer the vehicle away from the glass door of the building in front of me, but it ultimately struck the building wall to my right. Despite being rated a Top Safety Pick and having a Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist feature, the car failed to stop before hitting obstacles—it collided with the parking lot sign, the tree, and the building wall. This incident highlights severe safety issues, particularly concerning Sudden Unintended Acceleration (SUA) and the failure of the Collision-Avoidance Assist technology. I am grateful that I managed to avoid hitting anyone; otherwise, the consequences could have been much worse. I contacted Genesis USA to file a safety complaint and request an investigation into the incident. Unfortunately, they did nothing. It appeared that they defaulted to blaming me, so they didn't feel the need to investigate or follow up. Despite my repeated calls, I have not received a resolution from them. Overall, this car was unreliable and unsafe. It was manufactured with many unresolved issues that the company addressed irresponsibly. I lost a significant amount of money, as I needed to purchase a new vehicle only 11 months after bringing home my Genesis GV60. Avoid the Genesis GV60 at all costs!

Nightmare Experience
I heard that the Genesis dealer experience leaves something to be desired, but I got to experience a lemon car and their subpar service quality first hand. Within a few weeks of purchasing the vehicle, the digital cluster screen began to blank out. After multiple trips to the dealer in Highland Park, IL, I finally had to force them to stop the workarounds, as I found more evidence online that many GV60 owners were experiencing the same after a software update that apparently triggered a defect in the hardware. Additionally, the heat completely failed on a cold Midwest day, the charger ports stopped working, and the hatch started rattling (related to a known bulletin). I dropped the car office in early January and I’m writing this in late April, and finally just received my car back after the tech burned out two more replacement screens that required delayed backordered orders. Upon finally receiving my car back after almost 4 months, I took delivery of a filthy vehicle - and immediately noticed that they damaged the trim in multiple places under the screen I assume while taking multiple replacement screens in and out. I also just noticed that my car shutters at highway speeds while coasting and violently vibrates while braking (issues I definitely didn’t have when I gave them my car almost 4 months ago. As all this played out, Genesis corporate and my case manager were really no help. The Highland Park dealership rarely answered their phones or provided updates - and never returned voicemails. They also kept forgetting the full list of issues I reported and I had to keep reminding them. At one point, they even lost track of their loaner vehicles and started texting me to see if I had one. And eventually the dealership management had to terminate the full service department, so I then had to deal with a new service manager and team. So, here i am now, having picked up a dirty vehicle, that’s damaged, and now has new drive issues. From Genesis corporate’s failure to support me and provide oversight for the dealership - to the dealership’s catastrophic failures….and of course my GV60’s issues (a vehicle that I loved while I at least had it a month), I will never touch a Hyundai or Genesis vehicle again.

How technology can ruin your experience.
Seemed like a great car. 71K Performance specs. Experience ruined by glitchy technology. iPhone App doesn’t work well. Facial Recognition does not work and option literally disappeared from the menu. Phone based digital key would not work. 3 hours on the phone with Genesis. No solution and different options depending on who you speak to. Very very disappointed.
