2024 Ford Ranger Consumer Reviews

Fun luxury truck
I just purchased a new 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat. It has all the comfort features of a luxury SUV and the practicality of a 4 wheel drive truck. I needed it more for travel back and forth to the mountains where four wheel drive is needed but wanted the comfort for a long trip. The Lariat comes with more features than my Acura MDX and the ride is very comfortable. I needed the bed for trips to Home Depot and Lowes for hauling mulch etc. While serving as a truck, it rides like my luxury SUV. It is very quiet and the ride is very smooth on the highway. I went with the larger engine (2.7 L and V -6) with the Eco-boost, it is very powerful and has great acceleration. The only two negatives is that the gas mileage is not great, about 20 mpg average, and there is not a lot of room in the rear seating area, but enough to accommodate most average size adults comfortably. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the vehicle. The technology package installed is the best I have seen.

2024 ranger xlt sport with 2.7L twin turbo charged
Awesome truck i traded a 2020 in with the 2.3L ecoboost in for the 2.7L ecoboost version. Both great power trains. Love how much more comfortable and easier it is to drive compared to last gen. It is slightly bigger. And handles my daily driving and recreational needs. The 2.7L at half throttle is an amazing engine its way smoother than the 2.3L the 2.3L is definitely fun to drive. I didnt noticed a fuel economy difference between both motors. If i was to buy again i would by the ecoboost 2.7L. But cant go wrong with either one depends on your needs and what you want. The 2.7L hauls and pulls same weight as the 2.3L. I just wanted the 2.7L because i have that engine in my f-150 and lived it.

This is an underwhelming design
I rode an F-150 previously but no longer wanted the size. Visually, the new Ranger is a stunner. But the upgraded Trim package is not worth it. It is very overpriced for the tech on the vehicle, cheap feeling, and too uncomfortable to be a decent work truck.
