Lot's of fun to drive! A great sports car feel for the customer on a budget. Poor leg and head room for back seat passengers.

Bought this 1997 moonlight Blue mustang GT for $2,000. It had no seats in it, had mismatched tires and rims, rotted carpet, oil and coolant leaking, check engine light, some chipped paint on the rear, and the odometer stopped working at 137,777 miles. The engine was filled with leaves and cobwebs, the windows were thick with dust and dirt, I didn’t think it’d run. It was 24 years old and the mileage and history was unknown. But when I first turned it on, it roared to life with a 4.6L engine and the original radio played strong. I fell in love with it. After getting some stock seats for it and I drove it, it really just wanted to go like it had been waiting years for someone to drive it. After getting new brakes, tires, replacing old parts and getting it to its original condition, this care has been nothing but reliable. It is like a brand new car, or actually it is better than a brand new car. It has so much personality and it feels like it has a desire to live, if that makes sense. The original radio likes to stop on random stations and play random songs, can never make it stop on the station I want but to me, it’s just the car picking the songs it wants me to hear, like the movie “Christine”. The mustang has its owned mustang-themed garage. It’s horsepower is low compared to newer mustangs but if you step on the gas pedal too hard at a light, you may loose control and run over a crowd. You don’t see these cars often, especially in their original condition. This is my first V8 engine too so this car is a big deal to me. It feels and sounds like a muscle car. I’d recommend this car to anyone.

I have always wanted a mustang as long as I could remember. Of course I live in a Ford only house which is great. After wanting a mustang for so long and searching forever to find one this one feel into my lap( it was ment to be). Although it needed a new head gasket and a new paint job and some minor things done to it I can't complain for the $800 I stanged this car at. I have enjoyed it to the max. Other than some repair I had to do to get it going when I first bought it , I have had no problems so far. It is not only a dream car but a great fun car. The engine runs smooth and has a great get up and go. I can say this much I will five this car until it just falls apart.

Almost 7 years & over 142,000 miles later, I have no regrets. This car has never leaked oil - not even one single drop! It still runs strong and idles smoothly. In all those miles, the only major unexpected repair cost I've had was a $300 mass air meter. In short, take care of a Mustang and it will take care of you. Mine sure has - I was blown away by the Mustang's reliability. Even my wife, Ford-hater she is, will concede on this one. I wanted a GT (still do), but the fun factor is still here, and in a car that has four seats (no matter the rear two are small). I'm getting another car this summer... another Mustang!

Very fun to drive and love the look of this body style. Be careful when you get in the higher mileage. After 120,000 just about everything that can go wrong on a car went wrong on this. In the last year: transmission, clutch, mass airflow sensor, a/c clutch, alternator and hoses. And after all this I still don't trust the car, but that's what I expect from a Ford.
